Dr. Zhou's Acupuncture, Pain and Wellness Clinic
I had excellent relief from the acupuncture and the herbal medicines from Dr. Zhou. When my kidney functions were getting worse, I mentioned this to Dr. Zhou. He provided acupuncture and recommended a herbal remedy that had been in use unchanged for 1,200 years. When I went back to my doctor for more tests, kidney functions were normal for the first time in 2 years. I appreciate the effectiveness of the remedies and also that he took the time to explain some of the background of the use of the herbs.

    Droessler Chiropractic Office
The care is accurate and always done well.  He practices the Gonstead method which gets results in a couple sessions, as opposed to other methods that require longer treatment sessions. Pricing is always reasonable.

Dr. Kingston has been great! He has been working with me for a little over a month to fix some issues with my spine, caused by poor posture and repetitive movements/lifting at work. He has also shown me some exercise to help with core stability and posture. My low back and hips feel so much better! Since seeing Dr. Kingston, my disc golf throw and game have noticeably improved. Thanks, Dr. Kingston and Chiropractic Solutions!

Jeff was great. He was able to totally relief the pain from my neck to the arm area. He explained how the nerves in the neck can radiate pain down the arm. Whatever he did, it helped. So nice to be pain free.

    Droessler Chiropractic Office
This was my first time to a chiropractor, so I didn't really know what to expect.  He was obviously there to educate me about my back and help me improve as quickly as possible.
Dr. Droessler used a variety of tools and techniques to figure out what was going on in my back.  With each check, he explained what the tool was, how it worked, and what he was looking for.  I really like understanding what's going on.  He also gave me a nice summary of what was going on after after the assessment was done.  I learned so much about my back!
Dr. Droessler adjusted my back that day and then again on one follow up visit.  Combined with the simple exercises and stretches he gave me, I feel like my back will be good for a long time.

I was able to see Olga.  Very professional.  She was very good about asking what my issues were and asked about the pressure I like.  Throughout the massage, she periodically asked if the pressure was okay.
I was delighted with the results.  Felt so relaxed afterwards and it broke my headache cycle.
    Would definitely recommend Olga.
Only negative is the parking space is a bit limited.

    Sacred Rhythms Wellness Center
The person who gave me my massage was professional and talented--everything I could have wanted in a massage therapist. It was obvious that the receptionist had listened to my requirements and matched me with exactly the right therapist. Unfortunately, the therapist moved to a different state after I received three massages, and I haven't tried any of their other therapists. However, I would certainly recommend Sacred Rhythms as they are serious about providing a good therapeutic massage experience.
The reason I didn't give a total "A" rating is because the waiting room is somewhat cramped and unwelcoming. Otherwise, a great provider.

    Dr. Sara Jurgella
She uses a different technique than anything you've ever had. She's by far the best chiropractor I've ever gone to. The technique that she used on me, literally I'm 80% straighter in my posture than I have been in years. She's very, very good. She's hard to get in to. You have to do it ahead for a week.

    Emmerich Chiropractic Clinic
I had a somewhat disappointing experience. Let me preface these remarks by saying that I was a rookie with chiropractic care. So this is an area where I cannot compare to similarly credentialed caregivers. Having said that, here were my experiences/concerns:
    1. I was told that I should plan to visit 3 times per week. I expressed concern about this commitment of time and resources and asked about when I should experience results. I was told I should see results within 5 visits.
    2. As time went on and I did not sense improvements due to chiropractic care, I asked friends, family, and other caregivers about this level of frequency. I was told by many who have a lot of experience with back and neck pain and chiropractic care that they have never been told that they need care three times per week; even for serious acute injury.
    3. It also bothered me that handwritten on the outside of my file folder (not in some field on a form, mind you, but on the outside of the folder where the doctor could see it without looking at any details of my case) was the notation that I was qualified for 20 paid visits by virtue of my insurance coverage. This made me wonder if the quantity of care was designed to moreso use up my insurance as quickly as possible, rather than treat me in the most cost effective way.
    4. After 5 visits, I indicated I saw no significant improvement due to the chiropractic care. The doctor responded "um hum, um hum" and offered no explanation. There was not even an attempt to adjust my expectations with information. I found the lack of medical "feedback" (how am I progressing? when should I see results? what are you observing?) disappointing.
    5. I had a conflict arise for my 6th appointment, cancelled, and never rescheduled.
    6. I made significant progress only after concentrating my time and resources on massage and physical therapy.
Having said all of that, the doctor and his staff were friendly, easy to schedule and work with, and (with prompting) able to provide useful information (e.g., he provided stretching and other exercises I could do on my own - after I asked for this type of information).
However, the bottom-line is that I would not return to this office because of my uncertainly about the value of the care received. I might use chiropractic care again in the future, but only from practitioners highly recommended by trusted friends and family.

I felt confidence in the surgeon -- that he was giving me the success rate for his surgeries as opposed to the general success rate, which is much lower. Therefore, I would go to him if I decide to have surgery in the future. He likes to perform the most conservative surgery for stenosis -- no fusions or insertion of artificial materials for bracing, etc. However, like all surgeons, he said the pain from my back problem would leave me feeling better in a short time. What surgeons generally fail to take into account is how long it takes an older body to recover from being opened up in a big, invasive way, and from anesthesia.

Prior to the surgeon's time in the examining room, I was examined by a student doc. He spoke only in medical terms -- fortunately, I had five years of Latin in high school so I could mostly understand what he was saying. He gave the surgeon all the correct info but he seriously needs to work on his bedside manner.
