Floyd Memorial Hospital Urgent Care Center @ High
Floyd Memorial Urgent Care in Highlander Point in Floyds Knobs just discriminated against my son because he has special needs. They wouldn't do a basic physical on him because they wanted his whole medical history, which they don't require from "normal" (their term) kids. I can't describe how angry I am.

    Ciliberti, Dr. Salvatore A.
Dr. Ciliberti is thorough and spends a lot of time with each patient. This coupled with his knowledge makes for exceptional service, accurate diagnosis and effective treatment plans. His bedside manner is also very good.

    Baptist Hospital East
Surgery itself went well, HOWEVER the surgeon, Dr. Patricia Figert MD used outdated and risky protocol by ordering an unneeded bladder catheterization. (patient had no actual medical indications, had empty bladder and surgery was very short and routine).  While it does provide convenience for the staff (no assisting patient to restroom) it does expose patients to infection and urethra trauma.  I informed the hospital and surgery group of this poor habit, but they all seem to want to let Dr. Figert (and others) do what they wish. I suggest NOT using a Baptist affiliated facility or surgeon.

    CVS Pharmacy
Most of my prescriptions are done from CVS. They were in a convenient location years ago and I started going so I just keep going there. The prices of the generic items are very good but for the regular items you can get them for less at Walmart. I will use them again.

    Norton Home Health
Their emergency is really awesome. It was for one of the kids. They were very expedient about getting you through. It is a clean facility. It was neat, clean and well worth getting out there. The people were very nice and very courteous.

I was very familiar with their online system and so it was easy for me to navigate throughout that and know exactly what the process was and could go easily online and see when bills were being paid, adjudicated and that type of things. I would return to them in the future if they had coverage in the areas where I have offices.

    Guardian Life
The coverage is pretty standard. I expect this would covered at 50 percent so versus a being $1000 for the crown and $950 I paid little over $400. It is a good solid group plan. All my experience with them has been positive. I would use them again.

    Kroger Pharmacy
They are part of a huge chain.  They do a great job.  When I had to go with another source for a while, I hated it because Krogers know everything about me.  They watch out and tell us what we can and can't and they tell us we can talk to the doctor.  They are personable and the pharmacists really watch out to the patients so that they can warn us if we are doing something we shouldn't be taking in combination if we keep our drug wall there.  They are just really nice people and knowledgeable.  I will continue using them unless I have to go somewhere else.

    Staton, Melinda
She explains things and breaks things down. She's very personable. She listens to you. I wouldn't go anywhere else. It's hard to find a good health care provider, and she is. I had a problem for many years and she was the only one who could figure it out.

I called a week and a half or so before the end of 2014 and got
someone's voice mail so I left a message to return my call.  They didn't
so I went online but couldn't find a plan I like which hadn't already
changed its rates.  So operationally, that became impossible to use.
When I finally got a live person to answer - the same person who never
returned my call - the rates had increased across the board so
substantially that it made more sense to self insure.  But that was
ridiculous and could have been easily avoided earlier.
