"I see two doctors regularly since I have arrhythmia. Dr. Ramakrishna sees me every 6 months to monitor my cardiac wellness and Dr sees" me every year to do an EKG and review my arrhythmia status. Both are professional, friendly and easy to talk to. They answer all of your questions and give excellent care. Dr. performed a cardiac abblation on me 12 years ago to correct a severe flutter that could have taken my life. I am grateful for his skills.

-Stephanie Z.

"I have been seeing him for about 5 years. He is close by to me. He is a pretty busy doctor. He also handles cardiovascular risk management. He does not have to refer" you to someone else if you are also having heart problems. He has nice nurses. I do not interact with the office staff much but scheduling is not an issue. I have had issues with getting prescriptions filled.

Heart Surgery reviews in Louisville

This appointment went well, but it was with the pacemaker manufacturer, not the doctor. It takes 3-4 months to get to see an actual doctor. Mine is only in one morning a week in this office. They are very understaffed, rude. The rudest people are the triage and doctors' nurses who seem annoyed that you would call in with a question. The answer ...More I get time and time again is "we do hundreds of these things." Ok, well I have only been through it once. They are great until you get your surgery, then they can't be bothered. I've pressed them a couple times because I was so concerned and I finally got into see a PA, who by the way, is WONDERFUL. She is actually the one who discovered my problem, not the doctor.
So the nurse tells me, well, she has more time to listen. Excuse me?
I have NO problem with my doctor. He is great. However, I would not give the staff in this office much of a positive rating. Maybe things are better at their other locations. I'd try them first. Also, I see Heart Care of Virginia has fantastic ratings. Maybe you should try there.....

My husband went in for a heart cath. There was a "widow maker" blockage ... the same evening we were talking to Dr. and the surgery was scheduled. Dr. and his nurse practitioner were extremely professional and reassuring. They are experts in what they do. Their bedside manner is outstanding. ...More I highly recommend them.

I called Kentucky Foot and Ankle to try to make an appointment. The first two times the canned message said they weren't open. The 3rd time they didn't say that, but I got caught in an endless loop that never allowed me to speak to anybody! "Press 2" did not get me a real person as promised. Needless to say I have given up on ...More them and am going to try another podiatrist!

6 months after my stents were placed a follow up Nuclear Stress Test showed reduced blood flow. Dr. C performed another cardiac cathertization which showed the stents and blood flow was fine. The stress test showed a false positive. Dr. is an excellent doctor. Medicare and AARP United Health Care insurance covered all but ...More approximately $1500 of the tests and procedures.
- Patricia H.

I am 80 years old and have received care from a variety of many physicians. I place Dr. at the top of the list. You would expect a faculty member to be up-to-date with the latest research in his field. Dr. amply fulfills that expectation. His "bedside manner" is outstanding. ...More He, his principal nurse , and his entire staff make the patient feel like he is the most important one in the world. Dr. has taken as much time as necessary during each of my visits. Because of his thoroughness, appointment late in the day tend to run behind schedule but I have no problem with that. He may be late but it's because he is treating his patients with care. Technical expertise, thoroughness, solicitude, caring atmosphere, attention to detail. These are a few of the words and phrases I would use to describe my experience with Dr. and the Heart and Vascular Institute. I am profoundly grateful that I am Dr. 's patient. And by the way, there is free valet parking.

He is a friend of ours. He is awesome. He is great at cardiology. My husband is doing fine, but 15 years ago he had some difficult surgery. He is the best. He is very well known in the area. He knows his stuff.
- Jenny M.

He is my cardiologist and he will be for as long as I draw breath. That man is awesome. He did PFO closure without having to perform open heart surgery. He did up all through going up to the and everything else, and just a couple of months ago, we saw an episode of Dr. on TV who was doing the exact way ...More the same procedure and he discussed just wide open he did open heart surgery on everybody. Wow! Did you know that Dr. did this? Actually, I think he more or less pioneered this procedure of being able to go in and do this through the large that you can get to kind of in the groin, going up through and doing it that way that was just a close heart procedure. That’s fantastic. He performed that surgery back on November 30, 2011. It’s the fact that he pioneered a new way to perform the surgery without having to do open heart surgery, my recovery period was basically one month total instead of six to seven months which is what it takes people to recover from open heart surgery. I was in and out of the hospital in 36 hours. That’s the incredible part. This is a major thing. The two upper chambers of your heart have a hole in them. Everybody is born with this, and that hole is supposed to close once the baby is born, and one out of three people it doesn’t close properly and that’s what caused me to have some ischemic episode which they said was a mini stroke, and Dr. was the one who recognized that and went, “Okay, let’s do this other test.” He did another test to find out that I had a hole and then he presented me with the options. “Hey, I can close this. Here’s how I do it. You’ll be in and out in minimal time. Your recovery period of total is about a month. That procedure was fantastic, total satisfaction with the procedure. He got the job done, closed the hole.
- Shelia N.

They went ahead and put a renal which I guess I needed. It was fine. So that is why I still keep going back to them so he can listen to my heart and make sure that things are still that I still have one. Availability was fine. The billing was fine and they gave me a $33000 bill. Good punctuality. I was drugged up, the staff were ...More really good. Great bedside manner. I am pretty hooked into Dr. .
