  • I was offered an internet upgrade. The rep said it would be $10 more a month with free installation and free upgrade equipment. The tech came to my house and switched out boxes and spent over 3 hours trying to figure out why it wouldn't work. He left me without cable or internet. He stated that it was now an outside issue and that they would fix it the next day. I received a call that night confirming they were coming. I received a call the next morning with the same information. By 2:30pm I still had no service. I called customer service and it was awful. I spent over a week begging to get someone back out there to fix the issue the tech created and to put the wires back into the wall that the tech left hanging out. It was a nightmare. Long story short, they left me without any service for 8 days and they were very difficult to deal with. I have only had Uverse service for 6 months. I am relieved that I am getting out of my contract because I am moving to an area that they do not provide service in yet. It is really sad that the most professional customer service experience I had with Uverse was when I called and cancelled my service. Provider name locked. R. at the Columbia, SC office was very pleasant to speak with. He was very helpful in cancelling my service. I wish more of their customer service representatives were as well trained and as courteous as Provider name locked. was.

  • Arrived within appointed time frame and moved service to other side of house where I had new cables ready for hookup. I also had buried conduit ready for cable insertion from pole to house and the employee easily pulled new cable in, hooked it up and verified television was working correctly, he then removed old cable and box from house. All went well but consider I had preparation for this transition. The employee was young in experience but eager, I did coach a little since I knew exactly what I wanted out of this visit. This visit was handled by their contractors. The professionalism score is due to being a new employee.
