  • After finding the Burris Bros on Angie’s List a year ago, we have used them ever since for our plumbing needs. They are very reliable and responsive and do excellent work. They go above and beyond and have very reasonable prices. I would definitely recommend.

  • The gents from Burris were excellent. When I called to have them check our water heater and furnace, they were very responsive. I was concerned that they might not be able to make it out the same day as I was calling in the later part of the afternoon, but they said that they could come that day at 3:30pm. Needless to say, at 3:30 on the dot, they were pulling up to our driveway. That in itself is impressive! They greeted me courteously, didn't chitchat or waste time, but went straight to work checking on the water heater (which had gotten wet during our last big rain), and soon diagnosed the problem. The burner had water in it. Since I was not over their shoulder watching, they certainly could have said I needed a new burner assembly, a new thermocouple, valve control unit, or all three (since those got wet as well) - all of which would have made them more money in parts and labor. Instead, they dumped the water, cleaned and dried out the burner, and got us going again. They even let us know that there might be a future issue with the ignitor, but that as it dried out, it would probably work just fine (they could have just charged us to replace it when it didn't necessarily need to be). They were ethical, actually did troubleshooting to fix the problem instead of simply replacing parts, and ended up charging very reasonably for their labor. They looked at the furnace as well, said they couldn't really get to a thorough exam right away, but contacted one of their associates who could. They went above and beyond in doing so. They could easily have said they needed to come back later - thus saving the job for themselves. Instead, they got us together with someone else, even though it cost them the $$ they would have gotten by keeping that job for themselves. They showed they were more concerned with making sure the customer got what they needed instead of keeping the money and the job. THIS is how a company gets repeat business! I highly recommend Burris Brothers, and will use them again for future plumbing and heating needs.

  • Beware: this company will take your money and not do the service then will refuse to refund. Stay away. I am on the HOA board for a condo building, we contracted with this company to do preventative maintenance for us on our building boiler and tank. We paid up front. The contract we signed called for three visits a year with reports. A year later we had a leak and lost hot water to the whole building for a day. Turned out they had not done any of the visits (which could have caught the issue) and not sent any reports. When we complained about this and demanded a refund they have been completely non-responsive.

  • Epic review: We had a clog between our outside clean out and the city sewer line in the street. I had a plumber come out from the only company that could send someone that night (not from H.L. Moe and who I subsequently realized has a terrible rating on Angie's List) to diagnose the problem and clear the clog. They hydro-jetted and then sent the camera down, which was super dark and grainy, and said "There's no pipe left! I can't even get my camera through!" They then explained that we can't use any toilets or sinks in the house and that it will back up even worse if we do. They seemed genuinely concerned, explained this is an emergency, and that we need them to come tomorrow morning to start work on a $4,000+ job to replace the line. I was kind of freaked out, the hydro jetting already cost $550 we have two small kids and I wasn't sure how we could go about not using any water for a number of days or doing this giant, crazy expensive project (that we can't afford) on a moment's notice. Anyway, even though they had thoroughly freaked me out, I felt something was off with these guys so I couldn't agree to work without a second opinion. The next morning after basically not sleeping at all, I went on Angie's List, found and called H.L. Moe Plumbing and Juan came to the house in the afternoon. He sent his camera down (which was clear and in color) and ran into the roots that the previous plumbers showed me after hydro jetting. He was surprised... "I thought they hydro jetted the pipe?" I said "They did, but they said there's no pipe left there..." He shook his head and forced his camera through the roots revealing that the pipe was fine past that root incursion. We later had the pipe snaked, which proved out Juan's diagnoses. Everything was fine. There was no pipe break. No major issue. We just need some maintenance to clear the roots (which the hydro jet should have cleared, but somehow didn't b/c those previous plumbers were either incompetent or something much worse). We now have video showing the full lateral in great condition. Point being, Juan is the best. A skilled, honest, and friendly professional. He totally saved the day and potentially saved us from falling into a never ending money pit with the previous plumbers (something reviews had warned against with them). I learned a a couple (of what should have been obvious) lessons, but mainly: if possible, wait until Juan / H.L. Moe or another honest company like them with good reviews and an A rating is available to come out to diagnose and resolve an issue, b/c it's easy to be taken advantage of when it comes to things I know little about (like sewer lines!) but that can have a huge impact on the house. This is a crazy long review. By far the longest I've ever written, but this experience was such a roller coaster and I want to put it out there in case it helps someone else in a similar predicament.

  • Green Planet Remodeling has been awesome from my first contact through work currently in process. I originally hired them to renovate my master bedroom and bathroom which included removing a fireplace and carving out a new space for a stackable laundry. Included new electrical, new plumbing, all new cabinets and fixtures. So pleased with the work that I engaged them for phase 2 which was the guest room and bath. Again, a beautiful job on installation, electrical, plumbing and fixtures. We’re now in phase 3 which is the kitchen, living room and a studio space on my roof top, which was formerly a laundry and utility space. Jonathan, the contractor, has clearly done a lot of high end work and is informed on the latest design trends and materials. His recommendations have always been helpful - he has steered me away from some things I had been considering that may have become dated and steered me to other options that are more current and timeless. Communication has always been great. I’ve been very impressed with the members of his team who do excellent work. Highly recommend this company!

  • What sets Image Construction apart from other contractors, is Roie - the owner. Roie clearly cares about the quality of his company's work, is genuinely interested in details, and wants you to be pleased with the final outcome. After three other construction experiences, I have learned to wait at least year before reviewing their work. True quality shows with time. And after several years, I can assure you Image Construction is now the only contractor I call when I need anything fixed or built in my home and on my property. In fact, it is Image that I've used to repair or complete other contractor's botched jobs. There's nothing worse than learning you didn't get the copper plumbing you paid for (I'm not crawling under the house to check someone's work). Or have an exhaust fan that has no duct work behind the wall. Or that a past painter didn't prep properly before painting your whole house (beware of painters!). Everyone has some contractor horror story. It's your personal property; your home. Let's be honest, it can be stressful and expensive. With Image, I know I will be informed of every detail (something I want), given options (who doesn't want that), and be confident in the final result. There is no stress, double-checking their work. Prices are more than reasonable for what you're getting. I have always been happy to pay the bill, knowing the work is top notch and that I can always call if things go awry. I recommend Roie and Image Construction. And I recommend you hire him. You won't regret it. I promise.

  • I live in Hollywood and I was thinking of remodeling my house for the last two years. I got several estimates, but it was very difficult to hire one of the contractors. It was always wrong information regarding different ways to remodel. I got Construction Master’s number from a friend that they did some work for. Mickey came to our house and made everything simple and so clear. About an hour and a half later we knew that this is our guy. We fully remodeled our kitchen, bathroom and family room windows with Construction Masters. Mickey knew how to coordinate his teams and was always there to answer questions. We are so happy with our new kitchen, bathroom and family room! Thank you, Construction Masters, for everything.

  • David helped us plan and design, and then carried out the total transformation of our master bathroom. This involved the demo, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, marble tile, installation, drywall, painting -- the whole shebang. He and his crew were wonderful to work with, professional, detail-oriented, on time, and considerate. Everyone really listened and responded quickly. We love the end result -- gorgeous, restful, luxurious, well-crafted -- and liked working with David & his crew so much that we didn't consider hiring anyone else when we had a water leak in a different part of our house (more of a flood) and required more extensive work, which he's undertaking now. Beautiful work, great communication, and excellent prices. Very highly recommended.

  • John and his team were absolutely fantastic! John is the ultimate problem solver and found solutions for numerous issues from fixing a bath tub (it turned out it had never been installed properly!) to making gates that hadn't shut for years shut, to cementing and sealing a chimney that was in need of repair. I had thought that one of our wooden gates needed replacing but John said it could be repaired and his team did a wonderful job, saving us a lot of money in the process. John is on top of everything at all times. I would hire him and his team again in a heart beat - I am SO glad I found them!

  • The project generally went smoothly. When we had trouble with the inspector and I began to panic, Shai (owner) was very tactful, calmed me down and handled the situation even though he didn't have to. Extra points for that.
