  • Levon was prompt, professional, and spent quite a lot of time on our piano. He not only tuned it, but made several adjustments. He is extremely knowledgeable and we will definitely continue to have him tune the our piano.

  • I've used Mark's services ever since I've owned my piano...well more than 15 years.  He has an exceptionally fine ear and his skills are second-to-none.  He's also a great pianist as well (classical to jazz), so when ends each tuning session by playing one or two songs on my piano it's an added bonus.  I can't imagine using anyone else.

  • Blaine - has tuned our piano for quite a few years now and he has always done a fantastic job. He is very professional. In addition to his tuning services he has performed maintenance, such as cleaning and adjustments to the action of the keys. My son has a very good ear because of his violin playing and he always been very satisfied with Blaine's work.

  • A GRAND experience.

He came this Weekend to fix our "outdated Player Piano."  I was so happy to finally find someone who knew all about our piano and FIXED IT WITH NO PROBLEM.  We are seriously enjoying our Rolls of music. Besides being able to fix the piano, Mark was an absolute delight.  He is also a licensed locksmith and the first thing he said when he walked in was "your handle to your door is on backwards."  Not a surprise because the Builder also put all the sliding windows in backwards as well.  Anyway he was dressed casual and neat.  He was smiling the whole time while he worked.  He didn't mind my constant questions, and while he worked the piano played and I had a ball dancing to the music.

He was RIGHT ON TIME!!!  And he completed the work in about 1/2 hour. And because we are in the middle of moving we deal with all kinds of people, nice and grumpy and no shows.  I would call him back to fix our piano in a hot second.

  • Mark was great - very reasonable and very knowledge. He also tightened a couple of bolts in the keyboard that was producing a clacking sound gratis, and gave me a free appraisal for a price that I would be able to sell my piano at in today's saturated market (I have to empty a house). Mark offered to answer any technical questions a potential buyer might have regarding the piano.I sold the piano in two weeks. Mark also provided contact info for movers, storage, and someone to touch up a bit of the finish. The buyer is using these movers, and they are very reasonable. I would definitely hire Mark again, and will recommend him to the new owner.

  • Ned Klein knows everything about the piano.  The board covering the keys was stuck and couldn't be slid in or out.  He took the whole thing apart and repaired it so it works.  He not only tuned the piano but also noticed that the felt coverings on the keys were battened down over so much use.  With his magical tool he was able to soften the felt of each key and the tone is like it was when it was new.
When I initially contacted him, he called me back the same day and we made a mutually convenient time for him to come to repair my piano.  I will not use anyone else from now on.

  • The piano, a treasured family possession, now sounds terrific. Real clarity of tone. Mark was so very thorough. He explained everything he could do and guided me through what needed to be done to restore the piano to good working order. He took his time and was the consummate professional who clearly enjoys his work. Preceding the appointment he was very good about reconfirming time and he was quite prompt for the appointment.

  • Every aspect of our interaction was delightful -- thorough, professional and exceeding my expectations. I first contacted Ned on 01/06/14 to inquire about his services, and he offered to come over that same day or the next. We ended up settling on 01/10/14, and he showed up promptly at the appointed time.  He explained his process to me, and within less than 10 minutes, he had evaluated the condition of the piano, strings and hammers.  He reviewed with me a written, prioritized list of recommended services, explaining the pros and cons of each.  Since my piano was so far out of tune, his assessment was that it needed at least two tunings, as well as a couple of additional services.  He worked steadily for about 3 hours, which was what he had estimated.  The piano sounds wonderful!  And I'm looking forward to seeing Mr Klein again a year from now!

  • He was excellent. The piano was in poor shape than what we thought. He had to replace some parts to the piano. He had a great estimate. He was so un-rushed and wanted to make sure everything was done right. He was so nice. You could tell that he really liked his job. He was a really professional. Also, before he left he played his favorite song on the piano. He keeps up with different workshops too and stays knowledgeable in his field.

  • I had a 100-year old piano (not a concert antique or anything, more like something that came from a Western saloon), inherited from a friend, that had been moved a couple of times and was in dire need of tuning, had some broken strings, and had several old ivory keys that had fallen off and needed replacing.
I wanted the piano tuned on fairly short notice for a party.  I called Ned and he came out a couple of days later.   He offered to tune the piano to itself (rather than to concert pitch) for less, which was fine with us.  He did a fine job.  He also removed broken strings, and replaced the ivory keys -- although the parts on such an old piano are far from uniform, he found replacements that fit perfectly.   The piano remains in good tune, and I can no longer tell which keys are the ones he replaced.
Ned was also very fast and professional, but friendly -- he talked to us for a while about the piano and its manufacturer, who we'd never heard of.  I'll definitely be using Ned for piano tuning from now on.
