"I found the overly cloying "friendliness" of the staff and doctor a bit too much. I started out my straightening process with the younger Dr. " , who had done my sons' teeth with traditional metal braces. About midway through what was supposed to be an 18 month process, he was replaced by his father. I had no idea who he was, but he approached me like we were old friends, very smarmy and phony. I had to ask him who he was and where was the other doctor. I then stated that my dentist was very concerned that my bottom front teeth were very loose. His response was "she doesn't know what she's talking about", completely dismissive and a little mad about my concerns. After several months, I thought I would be given another set of Invisalign, but I was given the final plastic retainers that I was to wear at night, etc. to keep the teeth from moving. Within two weeks, the bottom teeth had begun to shift back. I looked at the retainer and it had no definition in the front of it, nothing to actually hold small teeth in place...i.e., no quality control. I started wearing the Invisalign frames again, while they made another retainer, which had a similar problem; I think, this was because the assistant taking the impression was busy chatting and bobbing around while holding the clay in my mouth. Finally, I was given an old fashioned retainer for the bottom, and told to come back for an adjustment. I thought the Invisalign were supposed to straighten the teeth, and now the doctor proposed to keep tweaking. When I went back and I was charged $50 for the visit, eventhough, I had contracted in good faith to have my teeth straightened by the Invisalign method and had paid the required money already. They then accused me of not wearing the defective retainers and that was why they were having to continue the straightening process. An illogical for a rip-of! I saw my regular dentist last month, who had been on sabbatical for two years, and after looking at my teeth, he said with alarm "You need to see an orthodontist." My back teeth don't make contact on either side, so all the impact of biting down is now on the front teeth. Bad for the front teeth and bad for digestion. $4000 down the drain of Dr. 's bank account!

"Be ready for a really thorough dentist. This means that it may hurt a bit. But you know it'll be good. Dr. is also very understanding" of students. I'm a full time student who also works full time so Dr. R gets there early at 7am to do my cleanings. And he does my cleanings, not his hygienist, because of the early hour. He also accepted whatever my insurance would pay and didn't ask for an additional copay when it was time for me to get a retainer, because of my being a student. He's very interested in your overall well being and is just a good person in general.

  • She is absolutely great with the kids. She is very well respected in the orthodontic community. We were out of state and my daughter needed work so she called an orthodontist in Provider name locked. where we were at and got us in.
