    OC Mini Movers
OC Mini Movers is trustworthy, professional, communicative, and passionate about providing excellent service. I had them move me to my new apartment and also assemble my furniture. The crew was top notch and the project manager, always followed up and checked in. Prices were very reasonable. Thank you Leon, Alfred and Tim for the move!

    Best Moving Co
This is a long one. I have much to say and even with that, I won't say it all but you'll get my point once you've read the review. I've used professional moving services in the past but the last one I used, my DVD's were stolen so, from that point, I used referrals from friends or guy friends I know to help me move. Also, I've moved more than I care to say in my 30+ years of living in LA County so I know good movers and good moving companies when I see one. I didn't want to use friends of friends this time, therefore, since I had used Angie's List for carpet cleaning back in Feb of this year and the company and the worker was great and did a fantastic job in the time specified. I would definitely use him again for sure. Anyway, I decided to return to Angie's List for my apartment to apartment move. I received three results and while this company had received 1 F, they had received many, many great reviews and they were rated "A" and certified by Angie's List so I selected this company. I had spoken to others that I Googled but still decided on this conpany in large part because of the overall excellent rating from Angie's List and the great reviews from other customers and they were a little less expensive (none were cheap) but they were less expensive than the others. When I first called, the person I spoke to was really nice. I called them about 7 days or so before my fiirst move-date which was 5/25 and I listened to their requirements and the rates. Because of all the stuff I needed to move, I requested 3 movers. They emailed me a confirmation (well it wasn't done at first) I called back (3 days before the 25th) to change the move date to the 31st and that's when I received confirmation of the move). I did call once again to see if my move date could be moved up to the 30th as to give me more time to tidy up my old apartment after I moved out but they were booked. I was all set to go. I started preparing for the move. The 31st of May 2019) arrives. I get a knock on the door at 8:30 am (not 9;00 am) and realizes that there are 2 movers; not 3. I asked where was the other mover and they said it was just them. I asked them to call the office. The mover called using his phone and when the person, on the other end, picked up, I asked where is the other mover and the conversation that pursued from that point was totally unbelievable. I said that it will take FOREVER to move my apartment plus items in the garage which I shared all of this prior to the move date. He pretty much was upset at me because I was promised 2 movers and got only 2 movers. He said what do want me to do about it. These things happen, people call out. He was by far one of the rudest people that I've ever spoken to. The 2 movers were listening as I had the call on speaker. They couldn't believe the person was talking to me in that tone and in that way. They said, at one point for me to return to Angie's List and give us an "F" rating. I said it's not about that, I need my stuff moved today with 3 movers. He did agree to get another person out as soon as possible. The other mover showed up at 11:00 am. I asked, at one point, to speak to the owner, to my amazement and shock, the person to whom I was speaking was the owner. He was very rude and totally unprofessional. They didn't even extend to me the professional courteous to inform me that they would only send two movers initially but work diligently to get another mover as quickly as possible, it was me who called them to ask whether or not the other mover would be coming. When we ended the call, I was conflicted, down-right ******, mad angry...use any adjective and I was that!!! I was frantically calling other moving companies because based on my conversation with the owner and the fact that the one mover didn't have a lot of confidence that the other mover was coming, I sais initailly that I wasn't coming through with it and proceeded to cancel but calling around, I couldn't get anyone else to help me that day or until next week due to the end of the month and the other companies were booked. I felt screwed!. So, I decided to move forward and not knowing for sure if the other guy was going to show and the fact that I did not want my bill to be $1200 and I knew and also talking to the movers, they said it would be more than whatever I was quoted from the office. I said to the 2 movers to just move the really heavy stuff like the refrigerators, beds, couches, tv's, etc., and I would figure out a way to get the other stuff later. However, when the other mover did show, I thought I would be able to get it all done quicker. At some point, I said to one of my movers about moving the boxes and he said you wanted us o move the bigger items. I said yes but that was when there were only two of you but since the third mover showed up, Without saying it out loud, I thought we were back to plan A, Not so fast. They pretty much told me that all of my stuff will not be moved because of how it packed on the truck. So again, it appeared that I was the blame because I asked them to pack the really heavy stuff first because I or frankly one of the other movers didn't have confidence that the other mover would show up. So much for "professional movers." While the movers were really nice guys, I felt they talked to each a lot and when they talked, they were not always working. I would walk up to the truck and often saw them standing around and talking to each other or on the phone as opposed to working. I also felt they could have just worked quicker and got the job done in a much more timely manner. It's also strange that when we had finished moving from the old apartment and deliving my belonging to the other apartment) (the moving of my apartment had not finished. I will get to that more in a second), I left about 10 minutes after they did which was close to 1:50 pm and GPS indicted that it would take 52 mins and that I would arrive 3:01 pm; which I actually did. The guys said that they would take a 30 min lunch. When I saw two of the three movers again, it was 4:07 pm. The 3rd mover did not show up until almost 20 minutes or so later as I asked where he was and the one mover said that he should be here. I also heard that same mover calling him inquiing of his whereabouts. So including the lunch and the 55 mins drive, where they were for the additonal 30 mins, (more for the one mover who arrived later than the other two) God only knows and when I questioned them about they played it off like I was saying something incorrectly. I did say to them that they did not have to wait for the other mover to get the off loading started. At the end of the day, I paid this company, $1,229.00 ( including a 5% discount) and about 10% of my belonging are still in my old apartment and if I don't remove them today, the owner will charge me, of course. I also have to find (and pay) someone to get the rest of my items removed. I guess I can go back to friends; if they are available. I have never paid so much money to move and to end up after paying ALL THAT MONEY and still have items remaining in my apartment that I am unable to move on my own. This has been a nightmare. By the way, even though I made my comments about the movers, I did like them. After reading this and you still decide to use this company, I pray to God that you have much more success than I did. I will never use this company again or recommend this company to anyone! I hope they are happy about charging me $1229.00 for an unfinished job as they will NEVER receive my business again! I also always relied on a company's good ratings. On e-bay, when other customers say good or bad about a company, it's typically how that company operates overall. I've not experienced before when so many reviewers gave a company such high ratings and my experience is so vastly different

    Melendez Moving Inc
A big thing for me when moving is working with a company that I trust will have my best interests in mind. Kevin Melendez went above and beyond to let me know I was taken care of each step of the way. No two week windows for delivery, no massive flatbeds with multiple apartments' worth of stuff. Everything was promptly picked up, specifically delivered, and placed with care in my new apartment, 2,800 miles away. The peace of mind I experienced was second to none. The price was competitive (especially given the very personal attention received). The communication was top notch. I'll sign up with this company over and over.

    Vanguard Van Lines
I had a terrible experience with this moving company. The initial stage of trying to bate me into hiring them made me think they were professional and above bard. Once I signed on the experience was horrible. They misquoted my move by almost half which is a big deal for me! There were added expenses on site and required to be paid in cash only. I find that odd. The movers gave me a three hour window but showed up after that. The on site team seemed nice but the on site estimate and sign off took place two thirds of the way thru the pack. I didn't even know I needed to sign additional paperwork on site. They took my things and said anywhere from 12-21 days. It was 20 days despite them saying it "never takes the full time." I tried everyday to find out when my things were making the larger truck and everyday was ignored or told they would get back to me. Finally my things made a truck and they could not tell me an estimated date of arrival only that a driver would call me 24 hours prior. I moved to an apartment building that required a loading dock reservation which I noted on the paperwork. When they called for delivery they were completely rude and unprofessional about the need to coordinate timing. I was told I had to pay for an additional truck because the larger one did not fit at the building. They had my move address on pick up and I felt I should have been informed of this charge in advance. They gave me no other option except to be curt and rude to me and tell me "they do this for a living" and "this is how it is." I would additionally have to pay hourly wait time if they could not deliver when convenient to them - it was a three hour difference in time. I ended up having to pay my new building to take over someone's delivery reservation day of. Again, Had to pay the balance to the delivery guys in cash. I feel like that is not a professional way of doing business but what do I know. When I called the sales person who made the sale to complain about all the hidden charges and to inform him of how off his estimate was he told me simply that "you signed the contract and should have read it closer." I am sorry, but I am not familiar with cubic square feet and how much room my apartment takes up. I accurately listed my furniture with measurements and went over in boxes but not double's worth. These guys just want to bate you and then do not care about your things once they have them. Things arrived battered and bruised and broken. They left a box of mine with another customer in my new city who somehow figured out how to contact me. I had to figure out how to retrieve the box from him and after informing the company they are not reimbursing me anything or even were apologetic that they left my belongings with a stranger. And I found out that the movers tried to charge that guy the fee to use the smaller truck despite the fact that the larger one could in fact reach his loading dock. Double payments? He was not informed of his need to pay cash and they almost took his things back to their storage facility in NJ! The police had to intervene. All in all, the lack of communication, the misleading of time and cost, the almost double move charge and all the hidden fees and cash requirements left a very bad feeling with me. I would never recommend this company if you care about your things, or your emotional well-being. They are not customer facing at all, and certainly no one should be yelled at on the other end of the line or demeaned when you are paying them thousands of dollars to provide a service. Be careful!

    Prodigy Moving & Storage
Blown away by how amazing this moving company was! We moved from a two bedroom apartment into our first home. They were SO fast we had everything done in 3.5 hours and everything was in great condition. Shout out to Fernando #2, Hugo & Walter for taking such great care of everything. I'd 100% recommend to all my family and friends. Also, they placed felt floor protectors on all our furniture before they placed it on the floor to avoid scratches - what a bonus! Plus, the next day we got a follow-up call from Veronica making sure everything went smoothly. Great quality of service!

    Air 1 Moving & Storage
I tried calling a few moving companies before I found Air 1, and I'm very glad I did in the end because I found them to be highly professional. Saul and Julio arrived on time, were very friendly and more importantly, they were very careful with all of our things. The price we were quoted was also very reasonable in comparison to other companies in the area. Thank you for making moving a less stressful experience!!

    MGB Relocations
Mario responded to my request right away with a quote to move. They were punctual, clean and treated our stuff like their own. We didnt have an elevator at the apartment we were moving from, so they took their time to move everything without damaging it. It started pouring rain while they were unloading the truck and they managed to keep everything dry and got everything we needed taken care of. Will definitely be hiring them for any future moves!

    Adept Moving & Storage
Despite for hard work they performed I had really bad experience with this company. During moving they lost a box with our belongings and did not want to acknowledge this. No compensation was offered and even apology. Besides they added to the final bill $76 for parking ticket they received since they did not have a valid permit to work in West Hollywood. I was told this was a company policy to charge customers for parking tickets, but they did not inform me about this policy in advance, just after the fact. I used this company before and recommended to others. Not anymore.
