  • Excellent experioence! Called them in early evening on a Friday and scheduled them to come out the next day (Saturday) between 8am and 12pm, but they called back within an hour to say they'd be here at 8am sharp, instead. They actually showed up at 815am (no big deal) and the gentleman worker (John) was very nice and courteous. Caught a deal for $199, but was concerned because if the job takes more than an hour I would have had to cough up an extra $125. However, the job was finished and the drain flowing in exactly one hour, so my concerns were for naught. Will definitely use them again in the future.!

  • Amazingly great! We had a large team of experts each performing their specialty. The project, from finish to end, worked like a fine tuned, well oiled machine!! We were in awe of the synchronization/coordination of tasks within the job!! I have dealt with plumbers for 40 years, easier jobs but not one of those experiences even were close to the professionalism of Power Pro Plumbing out of Gardena, California!! I was sooo happy with the job and felt like royalty! It is great to know there is still at least one place of business in today’s world that is “totally PRO”!

  • This is the third time that Matt from Prodigy plumbing has come to our rescue-- honestly the man really needs to get himself a cape! The last two times were at our recently purchased home-- water pipe was cut by another contractor-- leaving us without water on a late Friday afternoon (Matt and his colleague came after 5pm and fixed it) and today he came to repair (within a 1/2 hour of my call) a leaking tankless hot water heater that is on our roof. Like the man even leaps tall buildings! Seriously-- if you need a plumber-- definitely call Prodigy. No one wants to need a plumber-- but the Prodigy team makes it all bearable and the charges are very reasonable.

  • I own an apartment building that is about 25 years old and every now and then a shower valve will need to be replaced.  This has happened several times over the last few years as can be expected with plumbing valves at the end of their service lifetime.  So I was not surprised when another valve locked up so that the tenants could not turn on the water to their tub/shower unit.
I was notified on a Monday that the shower wasn't working so I called my usual plumbing company to come out and replace the valve.  They have done a few of these and it usually costs about $225, which is what it cost a couple of months before when they came out and replaced the valve cartridge, not the whole valve unit.  When i called them they were busy and could not come out until the following week.  I did not want my tenants to be without their shower for that long so I started calling other local plumbing companies to see if they could come out to fix it.  I called about 5 companies before DIF Plumbing and they could not come out that day so I kept looking.  I called DIF and they agreed to come out that afternoon.
They showed up on time.  There were two men, I think one was there to learn and the other gentleman lead the repair.  It doesn't really require two men but I figured two heads are better than one.  When I told them the water to the building had to be turned off at the city valve by the street curb they checked the building out and showed me that there was another valve at the building that could be used instead of taking a chance with messing up the city valve.  All these years I did not know that, so I thought that was a good thing to know.
They shut of the water, drained the system and replaced the entire shower valve and cartridge for $125, about half of what it cost me to have my regular plumber replace just the cartridge.  When they finished replacing the valve they turned the water back on and checked out my water heater.  When they saw that I had a recirculating pump on the hot water boiler they told me I should unplug that when the water service is turned off in the future because it can damage the pump to run it with no water in the system.  No other plumber had ever mentioned that in the many times that I have had to turn the water off.
So in short, they provided fast service when others could not.  They showed up on time with more than enough man power.  They educated me on my plumbing systems, and they performed more work at half the cost of my regular plumber.  I think I have a new go-to plumbing company.

  • It was the weekend before Christmas, and my main sewer line was backing up into my front yard once again. This was the third time in a year that I have had this problem.  I called my usual plumbing company who had twice unclogged the drain with the mechanical, rotating snake at a cost of $150 each time.  Thankfully, they were so busy they didn't return my call all day, so by early Saturday evening I purchased the Rooter Alert deal I saw on Angie's list.  I received a call from the owner that night, and he arranged to have a technician out the next morning to unclog the sewer line.  The technician was great!  He got the work done quickly.  He showed me on the video monitor the whole length of my sewer line, and the problematic connection at the main city sewer line.  He made a DVD copy and explained what I should do next to bring up the issue with the city of Long Beach.  I brought the DVD to the city and they sent out an inspector the following week.  The city has agreed to repair the crumbling connection, and I think that will be the permanent solution!  I could not be happier with the service I received from Rooter Alert!!

  • The lead man, Danna, was very knowledgeable.  He had a good crew of hard workers. As with most plumbing jobs with OLD
pipes, we had some speed bumps, but the owner Tom, was absolutely wonderful to talk to and worked things out perfectly.
I could tell that Tom wants all his customers to be happy and blessed.  He made me feel that way !!  My mother had her sewer line relined by Rooter Alert a year ago also.  I would use Rooter Alert again and would recommend them to anyone.

  • A week or so ago, I called DIF Plumbing after I noticed our sewer line backing up a bit. In addition to the sewer line clean out, we all thought it was prudent to put a camera in the pipe to check on its condition. We discovered that an 8 to 10 foot section of the original pipe was severely damaged. Even with the clean out, it was just a matter of time until the line would become clogged again. The solution was to replace that section of pipe with newer, better pipe. They were very accommodating to my limited time and we were able to quickly schedule a day to fix the pipe.
Today they came out to do the work. It took a bit longer than we expected but that was due to having to work around some unforeseen underground electrical work. They replaced the pipe and guaranteed it for ten years.
All in all, I am very pleased with the transaction. They are very nice and easy going. I will call them for all my plumbing needs.

  • Went reasonable well except drain was too clogged to get good clean out. Vendor recommended more intensive clean out procedure which conformed to other plumber information.  Drain plug was not reinstalled correctly and came out.  I am sure they would have come out and fixed it but I will wait until I get more intensive clean out.

  • Started with my bathroom toilet that would not drain.  I was unsuccessful so call experts,.  they ended up putting a scope and found that my iron pluming was flaking and needed jet blasting to restore to clean.  they asked about our main line.  We usually have trouble every year or so do to a large tree that has roots going into the main line.  They scoped the main line to the street and found a big root in our pipe that took up most of the pipe.  A couple of loads of wash and it would have backed up.  solution was to dig down 7 feet by our sidewalk were the root was and replace the pipe.  When they got down there the replaced the pipe and scoped to the street and found some more roots and it was clay back to out clean out  which was about 15 feet from the first hole.  They could sleeve to the street but we have a weak link in the clay to the clean out.  So we opted to do a non trench, replace the clay, sleeve the to the street and jet the house.
