    MC KENZIE MORTUARY SVC
    Sadly, this is the second time, in 7 years, we needed the services of McKenzie Mortuary. We couldn't be more pleased with everything they do to assist grieving and stressed families. Mr. Donald Donan (director) and the entire staff have always been courteous, kind and patient. Their prices are extremely reasonable and affordable, as well. We couldn't be more grateful for their services.

    Furnished Finders
    I recently rented an apartment from "Furnished Finders" aka Sonia Sanguinetti. This woman pretends that she is an employee for Furnished Finders when in fact she is the only founder and only employee of this company. I've taken vacation rentals for over 20 years and this was by far the worst experience I have ever had. Do not confuse this company for "Furnished Finder", a more established rental agency. Let me begin by saying the unit looked much better in photos than in real life. The apartment looked modern, clean and spacious in the photos but in actuality was outdated, crammed with dirty, old, stained furniture, and had a damaged counter top, table and torn blinds. The outdoor furniture was missing cushions on the seats. I felt very ripped off because I had paid premium price. I found instructional post-it notes all around the apartment, for example "Do not open" on the window. But I really needed to open the window because it was very hot and the AC was not working. Paying premium price one would hope at least the air conditioner would work. There were cockroaches running in and out of the bathroom and packs of ants swarming in the kitchen. If you think all that's disgusting, then imagine how it felt to find blood stained women's underwear laying on the ground outside the apartment door. The elevator was nearly impossible to use because the buttons didn't work properly and I ended up having to carry heavy luggage and groceries up and down the stairs my entire stay. Sonia Sanguinetti, the woman behind this operation was extremely unprofessional. She was apparently holding numerous open houses at the apartment rental during my stay. On one occasion per her request I had made myself available to be at the apartment for a scheduled meeting which she cancelled about 30 minutes after not showing up. On a separate occasion she requested I be at the apartment in the evening so she could "bring someone by". That "someone" turned out to be a series of families inspecting and taking photos of the entire place while I was there. Before they arrived, Sonia specified to me, "when they get here just act like you're my friend", which had me feeling extremely uncomfortable about the situation. On another evening, completely unannounced, I answered a knock at my door to find 2 women and a young child asking to come into the apartment rental to have a look around and told me Sonia would be arriving soon. Stunned, I asked them to wait outside and when Sonia arrived I complained to her that I felt it was inappropriate to bring strangers over without my knowledge or consent. Her excuse was "I called you but you didn't answer". Needless to say I will never again rent from "Furnished Finders" aka Sonia Sanguinetti and I recommend you do the same. This is the first in a serious of complaints I am filing on the internet to warn people about the fraudulent and unethical business activities of this woman and her operation. Next I am contacting the Better Business Bureau (BBB).

    Nice location for us (Long Beach).  Professional, tasteful premises and presentation.   Worked directly with Rita and will be signing up next week.  Given the price, definitely appears to be the "best deal."

    All-Safe Pool Fence & Covers
    They did a quick estimate and then came back and installed it within a couple hours. It is still operating and working fine. This also lowered the cost of our homeowners so this can be thought of a good investment. You can not put a price on your child's life. The quality is good but I do wish there was more tension on the net. They were thorough. Everything with the estimate was understandable, concise and straight to the point. They showed up on time. The project took less time then they estimated. You could hang out with them, talk to them, and ask questions.

    FAIRHAVEN MEMORIAL PARK & MORTUARY
    When beloved Mother passed away, in february of 2012 - and after going thru her paper and organizing them for a few weeks after her death, I found out she had tried several times in the past several years to get a relatives plot looked into at this facility,My Mom and Dad had purchased it, shortly after, I was born and the span of time was more than 50 years.
    After calling the facility, I received some forms and instructions, in late March - early April 2012 about the plot and it said to included a death certificate of the relative, along with the paper work and to make an appointment to come down to complete the rest of the paperwork. Since I had to locate a death certificate, No appointment was made. I did notice the conversation was on the rude side.
    My Mom had her plot already near my dad and I wanted to get rid of the plot, so it would not go to waste.
    after locating a possible date of death and having all the needed information, I contacted Fairhaven again in June and August of 2012 and the instructions had changed or I was transfered to another person, etc. Each call after that was either leaving a message or they had to check with a supervisor and it was getting to be more of a hassle than it was worth.
    I have since started to contact a brokers to handle the whole thing, due to my time restraints, work and my recent accident, there are more inportant things that need to be looked into than getting rid of an old plot.
    While I understand things happen and restrictions on how things are done do change, but good communication skills and helpfulness mean a lot to people who have lost a loved one and can be less vulnerable.

    Beach Villa Apartments
    I have been here since 2005. The one thing that I dislike is the barking dogs. The one thing I do like is the professionalism and quick responsiveness of the apartment management and the corporate management. The building is always kept very really clean, and everything is always in working order. It is a good apartment. It is a good place to live in. A lot of people have lived here for years.

    Luyben Family Dilday Mottell's Mortuary
    Their name is so poorly chosen as it created so many jokes regarding d***** and motels that made the experience less than bearable. The spouse is supposed to be given 30 minutes alone with the body prior to the viewing but they made no effort to keep that allotment. As the service was about to start, they pulled me out of the viewing to work on paperwork so that they could get their money.

    Career Nanny
    Mercedes has been a wonderful Nanny to our twin boys.  She has been with our boys since they were 3 months old.  She was very loving and knowledgeable with the babies.  As a first time mom, I would refer to her quite often for advice.   She worked with me for a few months prior to my return to work, and I was extremely comfortable and confident leaving her alone with my twins at 5 months.   I knew my boys were in great loving hands.  She is extremely reliable, loving, dependable and very patient with the boys. They call her Nana and truly love her.  She walks in every morning with a smile and big ?Good Morning / Buena?s Dias for our family.  She is available to work full-time and has been very flexible with her hours.  When needed she works 9 and 10 hour days and also would watch the kids on a Saturday or Sunday.  She did art projects with the kids, purchased abacus to help with counting and had her brother make a swing that is hanging from a tree in our backyard. She is bi-lingual (Spanish) and at our request only communicated with our boys in Spanish.  We are thrilled that our boys are bi-lingual.  During nap time she took it upon herself to wash the boys? clothes, empty and fill our dishwasher, sweep and mop our floors.  Her first priority was consistently taking care of the boys but when they were napping she helped with household chores.  She is a mother and also a grandmother to Stephanie who is an honor student graduating from the 8 th grade.  She has never been late, but arrives 15 to 30 minutes prior to her start time.   When she leaves in the evening the boys give her big hugs and kisses.  We have been extremely fortunate to have Mercedes for the past 3 years. We love and trust Mercedes so much.   I know choosing a Nanny is really difficult.  Mercedes is truly a professional, dependable, honest, knowledgeable, loving Nanny.

    Cremation Society Of Orange Coast
    The Thursday before Thanksgiving, our mother passed away at home, under my and Hospice care. She had previously made arrangements to be cremated, having signed up with the Cremation Society of Orange Coast through the Los Angeles Funeral Alliance. The young men who came to remove our mother's body were quiet, sympathetic, and respectful. They finished their job quickly and were gone. Because my mother had made pre-arrangements through the Los Angeles Funeral Alliance, I just had to call the Cremation Society of Orange Coast the next day to learn what I had to do. As it turned out, it was not much. The CSOOC handled everything. My brother and I were kept informed every step of the way. I cannot say enough about Funeral Director Nicole Randolph - she was absolutely outstanding in every respect. We were going through the most difficult time of our lives, and it could have been even worse if we had any hassles at all with a mortuary. But we did not. The only issue that arose was the delay of obtaining death certificates, but that was to be expected because of the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. For anyone contemplating cremation, our family highly recommends the Cremation Society of Orange Coast.

    THE STAFF WERE NICE AND HELPFUL. HOWEVER, CERTAIN ELEMENTS WERE LEFT UNEXPLAINED. AT THE SERVICE, THE USHERS DIDN'T GIVE THE FAMILY 'ENOUGH TIME' AS PROMISED TO SAY GOOD-BYE. A FAMILY MEMBER WAS INJURED IN THE VIEWING ROOM DUE TO A CHIPPED TABLE TOP GLASS.
