  • I was trying to decide who to go with and Angie’s List didn’t have a lot of good information.  In fact nobody did.  I just went with whoever had the fastest internet available. The service call was free, but the service itself costs about $145 monthly and that includes internet and premium services also. Their customer service is fine.  They solved the problem itself. They come when they say they’re going to on a certain day within a window of time. The people are good but the system isn’t that great.  They are way too expensive.

  • We have had Century Link internet, bundled with our land line, for more than 5 years.    We are paying about $35 per month for the internet service according to our bill.    Over the last 2 months, we have experienced constant "drops" in our internet service, with different computers, where the internet simply goes dead.    Today, I called in because the service has been dropping all day.  After waiting more than 1/2 hour on hold, their computer told me there is nothing wrong with my internet service.  I talked to a technical support technician who told me the same thing.
What is clear is that Century Link does not have the line and amplifier capacity to service our neighborhood, where the average home is 2500 square feet and each house probably 2 or 3 computers.
So tomorrow I am going to start looking for another internet service, where we are not tied into a 1 or 2 year contract which we can't drop if the service is as terrible as Century Link.

  • i moved houses.
They were late and did not set me up the same way as I had been at my previous house, which is not what they told me they would do. The installers said I would have to call an outside company to get all my devices connected. I spend a lot of money every month for these services, I live alone and expect more from my cable company. I am older and am not able to do it myself. Provider name locked. is expensive and also does not give me enough choices on my TV selection to warrant what they charge. I have spoken to them several times and have not gotten any information I can understand.
