"The install went very quickly. We asked if we would be able to access the phone from all the in the home or just the one the tech was at." We were moving in so didn't take the time to check every little thing and follow the tech around. The tech said it was all good and the phone would work at any . Congratulated us on upgrading from Centurylink and their 3mb per second internet. We would now have 100 Mps! We finished moving in and I plugged the phone in. Nothing. Went to another . Nothing. Called TWC back and the tech returned and told us the only he could get to work was in the spare bedroom. He didn't have time to all the wiring and see why the other didn't work. Would it be OK for us to use just the one live ? Since we have a base phone and several handsets, plus the fact we were arranging furniture, etc. I agreed. Still feel like all the should work but, oh well. As for the 100Mps. We have seen it as high as 25 Mps, once. Normally, it runs around 10. When our billing starts to increase (which it has a few dollars each month) dramatically we will probably go back to Centurylink or maybe Google Fiber will be here be then. I am glad I didn't fall for the upsell of digital cable. Very happy with DirecTV, only wish they offered phone and internet as well.

"It turns out that apparently never had any intention of installing fiber on private streets, but that was not mentioned anywhere that I could" find. I live on a private street. I received an email in November saying that they were not going to fiber my home, refunding my deposit, and closing my account. If your town is being considered for installation, you might want to make sure they actually fiber the whole town, or disclose which properties will be eligible to be fibered. seems to cherry-pick what they can do easily and ignore the rest. In spite of all this, I will probably sign up again if they ever come back to finish the fiberhood installation. I have no other fast internet option.

  • The service has been good.   I’m on a special and I’m getting Show Time as well as a lot of channels.  You always get a real person that answers the phone when there’s a problem and they are pretty much on 24/7.  One thing is kind of a nice feature with them is the remote lights up in the dark, so you can see what you’re doing.
