Five Tips to Protect Your Foundation

Basement Waterproofing reviews in Kansas City

    Foundation 1
Thom from foundation 1 was a miracle worker. We bought our house and Foundation 1 had done the pervious work on the foundation. After four other companies had failed. It was easy for my wife and I to switch over the warranty. We started to do remodeling and had a structural engineer told us what we need to do for the remodel. Foundation 1 needed to come in and change out some work they did. Plus the engineer said that the cracks on parts of the foundation that they hadn't done any work on just needed to be sealed. Thom dissected what the issue was and disagreed and said we needed support beams. Thom was 100% right. The garage floor was sinking and pushing the foundation wall in and leaking. He was extremely knowledgable and spent the time to explain what was really needing to be done. We are lucky that we had such a great company on our side. If you need any foundation work in the Kansas City area. Foundation 1 is the company to go with.

JLB Foundation Repair and Basement Waterproofing LLC
My experience with this company went very well. The owner Josh Bultmann was great to work with regarding my project including foundation issues, and waterproofing the basement. His quote was very reasonable compared to the other two companies I received quotes. His knowledge, and eye for detail gave me the impression I wasn't just another job but a home if he had to do the same repairs at his house. The crew was superb with all foundation repairs, and waterproof application. Not only did they took time to answer my questions but went beyond the call of duty with any request I had for them to do during the job. Overall I loved the work in my basement provided by JLB, and would recommend them highly to anyone needing foundation repairs or waterproof solutions.

    Kansas City Master Companies Inc
B U Y E R B E W A R E Had pier master out to fix a leaky basement - They recommended we excavate and waterproof one wall - we contracted with them and they finished the job. Found out later there was still a leak in another wall. Again contracted with them to excavate and waterproof that wall - part of which required hem tearing up an interior wall due to the front stairs. We were ok with this as well - right up until this did not stop the water coming in. They came back a third time and tried to sell me additional work that we had already paid for. These guys are Shysters - having paid a bunch of money and we still do not have a dry basement. BUYER BEWARE

    Dry Basement Foundation Repair
About one week after the inspection the company returned and fixed everything. It now looks a lot more like what we had been promised and were expecting. They even replaced the hammer they broke as promised. I would hire Dry Basement again. They owned their mistakes and corrected them. They really did put the customer first. Thanks guys.

    Pro Foundation Technology Inc
I hired Pro Foundation Tech because Jeremy stated they could get the job (Sump Pump) installed within two weeks. The day before scheduled install the office lady called to confirm the appointment and advised the crew would be arriving btwn 8:30 and 9:00AM. The morning of install office lady called and said they couldn't get the pump so they would have to schedule for another day. The pump was obviously not the real issue as they can be picked up almost anywhere and they ended up finding one. I complained and she stated she would call back. A short time later she called back and said the same thing, no pump. I told her I had taken the day off of work and reminder her that she called me the day before to confirm the appointment. I also advise I would pay more for a more expensive pump if necessary. When she said they couldn't do it, I told her to have Jeremy or a manager call me. She called back a short time later and told me a crew would be out but it'd be noon before they could be here. The showed up at 2:45. The pump itself was installed to satisfaction. However, the crew wanted to use my backyard to dump the soil. I told them go ahead but flatten it out. That didn't happen. Furthermore, when they attempted to regrade the yard after burying the discharge pipe they did a terrible job and now the grade drains toward my foundation. At 7:30 PM I had to leave, after waiting around most of the day. I had to leave the crew at the house. When I returned an hour later, they had completed and had left. No one ever called to explain the pump operation or maintenance. Rock was left throughout the driveway. Unfortunately, the job was rushed and it shows. Very disappointing.

I called to get an estimate to repair a leak in the middle of the basement. It has been a while so I do not recall the name of the gentleman who came out. He called before the appointed time and said he could get out an hour earlier if that would work. That was acceptable. He showed up about 5 minutes before the new appointment time. I showed him where the water was coming in and we walked around the house to determine where it might be coming from. He told me that he could not be sure where exactly the water was coming from without doing a lot of exploratory work. He made several suggestions that I could do that might take care of the problem (filling cracks in the sidewalk, fixing the slope from the house, replacing the gutters). If those preventative steps do not resolve the situation I will definitely call All Seasons to again.

Other than a cave in where they excavated along the wall, everything went well. They showed up on time and were very professional. The crew leader every day explained what they would be doing. They left that part of the basement cleaner than when they first started.

    Spartan Ram Jack
The chimney stabilization and drainage systems were professionally planned and installed. The project manager and on-site crew kept me informed of the project's progress and any issues they encountered. I would definitely recommend Spartan to other home owners.

The crew showed up on time it was supposed to be a two day job they did it in one. The bed was done incorrectly. But Spartan did the right thing and took care of the customer. They performed the work for what they quoted me .

    Grant Renne & Sons Inc
The estimator called and showed up on time. He looked at prior install and noticed issue right away. He looked at new space and how to integrate. Proposal provided within days. The scheduling was easy and very flexible. They worked around our schedule. The service technicians were very professional. I expected a complete mess as they were going to be taking out two foot of concrete along the wall, excavating, cutting into old section, etc. Expected to be cleaning concrete dust for months. They kept dust under control and cleaned up everything as they went. They were on time. I also overheard them talking and the older technician was training/helping the younger one learn how/why - that impressed me he was making sure he knew why. Job was not the pain I expected. What was shocking was how high the water table as excavation hold had standing water after dry spell and we sit on hill. No wonder this 100 year old house needed some help. Dry now!
