  • Peter did an excellent job evaluating my home's damage and negotiate the line items with our insurance company. We had been fighting with the insurance company for about 6 months (since hurricane Irma in September 2017). We had received an initial sum equivalent to about 25% of our actual damages. Peter stepped in and within about 4 months or so and several back and forth inspections and adjusters being involved on the insurance side which kept on delaying the process, Peter was able to get us an additional settlement. Our total payout is still far less than the actual damage, but it is a complicated case and we wanted to move on with life so we settled based on an appraisal process that Peter was involved in.   • I am so glad I learned I could hire my own claims adjuster. I met Mark Goldwich at the Jacksonville Home and Patio show right after Hurricane Irma hit. He discussed what he could do to help maximize the outcome of my homeowners damage claim so that the insurance company didn't take advantage and low-ball me. We purchased his book and after reading it, we recognized the situations that our friends were dealing with and didn't want to become one of those victims as well. We discussed the damage and showed pictures to Mark and after some discussion, we decided that his services would be our best bet for a full recovery. Soon after sending in my papers, Kent came to my home and we started in the front room, where the roof leaked through the ceilings to the carpet. He asked what's back there? and when I said nothing, but you can look... Sure enough, he identified damage that I never would have caught to my ceilings and walls. He went through my entire house and yard, and identified so much more than I would have been able to identify on my own, because that is not my profession. I originally thought that with my roof, ceiling, carpet, fences, sheds, food, and household goods that the estimate would have been about $20,000. I was way off! So far I have recovered over $42,000 and that is not all that is due in. Others are so surprised that I received money from the insurance company already. They filed for me and fought my arguments for me. Watching them make my arguments for me was amazing. Clearly, their experience in general contracting and in insurance made the representative from the insurance company look completely inexperienced and like a dirty businessman. I have recommended them to my friends and family, and recommend them to you. If you're not a construction and insurance professional, don't take your claim to your homeowners company on your own. Let GoldStar do it for you. They told me if it wouldn't be worth my while they would let me know, and they would do the same for you. I would definitely hire this team again!

  • Although Deb is often associated with Allstate Insurance, she will put you ahead of that company if necessary. As such, while we hold Allstate policies for auto and scooter rentals, she shopped around and found us a better deal with another company for our homeowners policy. And when that company raised our annual rate an amount Deb thought excessive, she again shopped it around and found we were likely with our best option already. However, she did place phone calls and worked with that company to cut our price hike in half. In short, Deb is very responsive, and makes you feel like more than just another policy.

  • My experience was terrible, considering I'd used them before. The second time is NOT always a charm!!!!! The agents were very unprofessional. They called me honey with sarcasm. Then attributed it to being from the South. I was explaining previous claims and how I felt about the claim, the agent said these people( adjustors) go to school for this. I also told her the same claim was approved once we had our contractors accompanied the adjustors on our roof. Her response, "Did you go on the roof with them?" The two adjustors in the office then began to have a conversation back and forth as if I wasn't there, almost like a public auction. They were rude. I Called Florida Bonds and Insurance and Brightway Insurance, I was greeted with excellent customer service! I guess All Florida Insurance, didn't realize I KNOW I HAVE OPTIONS. I don't know what clientele they cater to and who accepts this, but they were plain awful!

  • Our homeowners insurance company sent out an appraiser to examine our roof and then later sent an engineer to do the same. After waiting a week or two, I called to check on the status of our claim and was told the claim was denied because the roof was way too old and should have been replaced before the storm. There was no written explanation from the insurance company, only a flat out refusal to pay any or all of the claim. We called the roofing company we had considered using if our claim had been approved and told them we wouldn't be able to get a roof and they referred us to Goldstar Adjusters. Even though we were not very hopeful anyone would be able to help us, we figured we had nothing to lose by asking them if they could help. Within a couple days, their appraiser, Peter Laframboise, came and thoroughly examined the roof and started preparing a case for us. He told us he was confident enough to take on the job, saying he firmly believed the insurance should pay the full claim. We were skeptical and felt it was probably too good to be true but after Peter from Goldstar going back and forth with our insurance company, they final conceded and gave us a check for the full amount of a $13,775.32. Peter first started working on this March 23, 2017 and we the insurance company conceded on May 22, 2017. We were amazed and so relieved! Peter worked hard for us and we never would have succeed without GoldStar! We HIGHLY recommend Goldstar for anyone who needs help in getting a denied property damage claim approved! They are professional, extremely knowledgeable of the insurance industry and prompt in communicating with their clients. We could not be more satisfied with how they handled our case.

  • She came to my suite, and checked everything out. Karen came over in September 2015, and did a seminar. Each year she comes back, and checks all our insurance (Sometimes comes every 6 months). She is fabulous. She does such a good job with the old people around here. She works hours on this. If we have an insurance question about Medicare etc., we can call them for answers. She will sometimes bring snacks for everyone as well, which is really nice of her to do! She goes above and beyond of what she needs to do for all of us. She is just excellent, and I wanted to recommend her to other people!
