  • Took my vehicle in on Oct 2 to have my vehicle repaired (I was rear ended and had damage to my bumper, back lights and some damage under my vehicle).  Was told it would take approx 7-10 days from beginning to end.  I was given a rental car (they have an Enterprise Rent A Car inside of the auto body shop) and they gave me the rental with a quarter tank of gas and no window washer fluid. Not a big deal, just seems like bad business.  Usually when you get a rental car you receive the car with a full tank of gas.  After not hearing anything for a week I called Geico and spoke to the rep who was handling my claim on his insured's behalf.  I was told to call the auto body shop which I did.  I was told my vehicle would be ready that week.  I picked up my vehicle on Oct 15th (at this point they had my vehicle for 13 days.  I looked at my vehicle at the auto body shop and it looked great, the bumper and lights were fixed and the paint job looked great.  I drove it straight to my boyfriend's house where he checked it out.  With this being said my car had an odor when I picked it up.  It smelled like a homeless man had slept in my car for a week, it was AWFUL.  He looked underneath the vehicle and noticed a cover (not sure what the cover was for) was cracked and a piece of the cover fell off in his hand. He then looked at the paint job and noticed the back panels were not aligned properly.  We opened up my hatchback and there were grease stains all over the lining of my Provider name locked. .  I then walked around my vehicle and noticed a 1/2 inch deep scratch on the passenger side of my car (which wasn't there when I dropped my vehicle off).  My boyfriend told me to call them right away expressing my dissatisfaction and requesting to bring my vehicle back to have these things fixed.  I called Sunbeam and talked to Provider name locked. (sp?) and she apologized and gave me a date of when to drop the vehicle off.  I dropped my vehicle off to them again on Oct 20 to have the issues corrected and again, didn't receive a phone call the entire time they had my car. The Geico rep met me at the auto body shop and we went back and forth about the scratch, with the Geico rep having to confirm if the scratch was there when I dropped my vehicle off or not.  It was confirmed that the scratch was done AFTER dropping my vehicle off.   I received another rental car and this one had a full tank of gas however during the time I had the vehicle a light came on the dashboard.  After researching the vehicle manual I realized it was just an alert for low tire pressure.  Not a big deal, just another inconvenience.  The Geico rep was the one to call me and update me on my vehicle.  The same day the Geico rep called me Sunbeam called me and said my vehicle was ready for pick up.  I went that day to pick it up and Provider name locked.   was at the front desk.  I told her who I was and she handed me my key and told me I was all set.  I told her I was not all set and needed a manager to meet me outside so we could look at my vehicle together.  She called for Provider name locked. and he came out and we went over the car, what work was done, if I was satisfied,etc.  I noticed a small area (where the scratch had been fixed) was a darker color than the rest of my vehicle.  Provider name locked. said it was either a fingerprint or an air bubble.  He said to give it a few days and it would go away, if it didn't I could call him back and he would send someone out to my house to correct the issue.  Not a major issue but again, an inconvenience and something they should have noticed before saying my vehicle was "all set".  Provider name locked. was pleasant, apologetic and friendly and Provider name locked. seemed nice and eager to make me happy.  I had the "pleasure" of speaking with Provider name locked.  several times during the month my car was at Sunbeam and while she was not rude she wasn't very friendly and never smiled. I called, she answered the phone and I asked if a manager was there (this was when I picked up my vehicle and my boyfriend noticed the issues.)  She promptly told me no and when I asked when one would be in she gave me a short  "I don't know".  I  would pass on speaking with her if possible.  Not impressed with her customer service at all.  Overall, I would take my vehicle elsewhere in the future.

  • This was a frame off restoration that only needed to be finished. Not a difficult task considering I am a novice and did the entire restoration myself. The only thing remained was to finish off filling some small holes for the old trim that I did not plan on reinstalling. The other item was to repaint the bumpers (fiberglass) and rear spoiler. Finally align the body panels so it can be painted. I went to pickup the vehicle FOUR times. I was told it was ready. Each visit I found something had not been done. First it was body work poorly done, the second time the body panels still were not aligned, the third time body panels still not right, the forth time there was over spray on the newly painted frame and body panels still not lined up. I realized at this rate it would be 3 years before I got the car back. This is a hack shop. They will screw you as fast as possible. Avoid at all possible costs. Vehicle is still unfinished. Any referrals would be appreciated. Must be honest body shop.
