  • Scheduled an Estate sale for a deceased friend on June 24th and 25th. They were VERY quick in responding and making promises. We were told we had much desirable furniture, jewelry, collectables, etc. which were unique and probably wouldn't sell at the estate sale but would at an auction. The crew was there when they promised, conducted the sale with professionalism and totally cleaned out the house as promised. We took pictures of the items with the prices he was asking. One of his workers even separated a whole pile of WWII items that “we will sell at an auction.” He took the jewelry (quite a few pieces) to a dealer that he “knew”. He took many items that he indicated would sell better at his auction as they were collectables for a special group of his known customers. LAST OF THE GOOD NEWS. We tried for 6 months to get our money. We were also promised we would get an accounting of what was sold at the auction and off-site sales. Numerous phone calls, written letters and texts were sent to B. Langston, most of which were ignored. When they did return a call or text it was "I'll call you shortly, with a client" or we will send your check shortly. After many months of broken promises, the check finally arrived around December 21st. It was a personal check from Anthony for a fraction of what we thought and was indicated that we would get. With no documentation, we have no idea of what was really owed to us as there wasn't anything in the envelope but the check. Anthony told us this was one of the best sales they had ever had. We quickly took the check to the bank to make sure it would not bounce (as has been indicated has happened in the past from other reviews). IT DID BOUNCE. We informed him and again excuses and promises. Another personal check was sent to us and it was returned, marked NSF. After threatening legal action, at the end of January 2018 (7 months after the sale), we received a Cashiers check that went through. If you want accountability, someone who returns phones calls, texts, etc. and your check within a reasonable amount of time....use someone else. How this company stays in business and allowed to do business is beyond me. It can only be because he promises so much and is so convincing. He is denying that we had any contract.....To Job his Memory...the Estate was that of Patty B West, the Sale Date June 23-24, 2017

  • Yesterday's Child is an excellent Estate Sale Company. I regularly visit their sales which are beautifully organized and staged and the prices are fair. I was so impressed that I contracted the company to manage the estate sale for my mother. The owner, Margaret Hill is very knowledgeable, professional and knows her stuff. Her staff is friendly, courteous and professional. I would recommend this company for estate sale services!!

  • My mother had passed away and my mother and dad had been living in the house for over 50 years and she was a collector. I was actually overwhelm with the responsibility of getting rid all the stuff we couldn't move to our house, a lot of sentimental stuff. He was absolutely fantastic. Literally taking over and making sure I was in the loop. He handled an estate sale in a very positive manner. He was considerate. He went in several different ways to advertise the property. We were just highly pleased with the efforts that he made on our behalf. There was 5 or 6 months of preparation to get things in order. He charges a percentage of the sale proceeds. It's different when you're doing regular household goods. In North Carolina firearms and farm equipment are two of the big sellers so he has a different rate for that. Automobiles are a different rate. It's kind of like real estate agents, it's pretty standard. He is very efficient. He has been doing it a number of years and he has it down to a science. One of the things is the publication of the sale date and he was very efficient in getting information out to the general public as to the date of the sale. Ours was a two day sale, Friday and Saturday. For a small town like it was, we had a really good turn out.

  • Ann and her team came and reviewed all the stuff which remained at the house and agreed to do the sale for us coordinating with our realtor since we were out of state. It was a fairly small estate which some companies were not willing to take on, but Ann agreed to do it for her standard fees (which were comparable to other estate sale companies we talked to). She had good communication with me and our real estate agent and did a great job getting everything that didn't sell to a charity and cleaning the house up for the new owner. She then gave us a full spreadsheet accounting of the sale and sent a check for the agreed upon proceeds promptly after closing the sale. I would recommend her if you had a similar need.

  • Amber Lane personnel completely set up and ran the estate sale professionally and fairly.  They were very responsive to our needs and flexible when we were running behind in moving out.  A top notch company!  They have a sliding scale for their fees, which were competitive and sometimes even better than other companies.  They were knowledgable about our possessions (we had many types of collectibles).

  • Contacted them for p/u of antiques for auction. Did not suggest reserve bidding, so loss $$$ on fine antiques starting as low as $20.00 bid. Lenox lamp $20 buy at auction. How does that work? when he is starting low ball bidding. WHAT a big mistake!!! $400 Henry Don table sold for $70 dollars, WHAT! This was the worse transaction for sellers! Do not trust your treasure with these men, will give it away in auction and charge 30% seller fee and $75 to pick up items so he can have bidding starting at $20. Save yourself the effort and sale your items on craiglist! Sure could have gotten a decent bid with craiglist oppose to letting Auctions Unlimited rip you off. I will be mentioning it to all dealers I come into contact in the near future. One example at auction, $400 Henry Don wood table with waterfall inlaid, sold for $70, Like I said LOW Ball bidding then a 30% commision from $70 sale. WOW Do not trust your treasure here. BAD business model so Be Aware.

  • Always arrived at agreed upon time. Very helpful in decisions on downsizing from large home to an 1500 sq ft. apartment. Conducted estate sale at old location. Made all arrangements for physical move and packed and unpacked at new home. Arranged furniture, hung pictures, etc.. Would use again and recommend highly.

  • Yesterday's Child Estate Sales did the best job I could have asked for.  They sorted, arranged, and priced all items prior to the time of sale.  They did a fantastic job of staging everything and then re-staging as needed during the three day sale so that items were well-displayed.  They performed research as needed to price things appropriately.  The sale was advertised through their website, email lists, street signage and estatesales.net.  They manned the sale with sufficient workers and managed the heavy traffic flow through the home.   They also provided the option to have a charity (Angel Aid) come in at the end of the sale to take what was left.  We really appreciated this option, as it relieved us of that additional chore and also did a good deed.  We received an accounting of the donated items and their fair market value for tax purposes.  They arranged for the charity to come in immediately at the end of the sale and they were right on time.  At the end of the 3 day sale, we were left with an empty house....which was our goal.  It took about 2 weeks for the full accounting to be completed and we were paid promptly at that time.  We were charged a percentage of the gross for their services.  Another amount taken out of the total was a charge for a police officer (which was definitely needed to manage the traffic!)  We were very pleased with the amount we cleared!  Margaret Hill, the owner of Yesterday's Child, has been doing this for many years and is very experienced in what she does.  She was a pleasure to work with.  We have already been recommending her to anyone and everyone we talk to about the estate sale.

  • My mother passed away with a house full of furniture and household goods as well as a basement full of items accumulated over several decades. Estate Liquidation Services by Marc Dlugos provided a great service in sorting through those items, professionally setting up all items of value in a manner attractive to potential buyers, marketing and getting a good crowd out for the sale, handling the sale and quickly disposing of items that could not be sold. All in all it was a great experience working with this firm, especially during the days immediately leading up to and including the sale weekend. On the negative side there were a few appointment mixups as well as an unanticipated one week delay in the sale, which is why I graded the firm a "C" for punctuality. The pricing was fair and reasonable.

  • Sun got the tires in stock - sent me an email to confirm our appointment. They were very careful not to hurt the car and the price was exactly what they quoted me. No surprises. We were in and out in an hour or so. The tires are great also. Sun has also fixed flats for me in the past at no charge asking that I only consider them for tires next time I need them. I appreciate that as flat repairs can run $15 these days. So I went back to them when I needed tires and I will be back again in a few weeks to buy another set for my other car. They also include free rotation and balancing as well as pro-rated road hazard in their prices. Other stores sometimes charge add-on for this.
