Tutoring reviews in Indianapolis

  • After one year (2-4 hours of tutoring per week) my daughter's grades and test scores improved from "yellow" to "green". She likes to go to school. Lindner's teachers help support her elementary school teacher by working with my daughter on the subjects she struggles with. They are also running her through a Lindamood Bell program. Both has helped tremendously. It is clear Lindner's teachers are there because they love to teach. Feedback from the Lindner teachers is immediate.

  • The tutors at LLC are so kind and caring. Our child's success and self confidence are their #1 priority. They make learning fund. They improved our son's performance significantly. He went from a C/D student to getting straight A's this quarter. Specifically Allison Krank is our son's tutor. She is great with our son. He looks forward to his sessions with her.

  • The service is excellent! He has given service above and beyond my wildest expectations. His kind heart is only exceeded by his extraordinary patience. Excellent resource for students with learning disabilities.

  • We’ve had 2 children be drastically helped by their tutoring service and specialty instruction for reading difficulties.  Their fee is $60 per hour.  We have used them for 3 years plus summer and school year.

  • Sylvan Learning are nationwide and tutor students. My granddaughter went from a B to an A+ in math. With her attitude, her learning ability, her habits, and her knowledge all came together like a puzzle and right now she has nothing but As. and A+s. She's on the high honor roll and she's just tickled pink. There's a great big sign just as you walk in the door that says once you conquer math everything else is simple. They started her out at the second grade level, went to sessions, and passed the second grade level. She went two more sessions later she passed her third and she's about to pass the fourth right now. She is reading at a ninth grade level. My granddaughter is very bright. The teachers are fabulous. They love teaching so much they go there to tutor. The counseling people are absolutely excellent, they really are.

  • The initial assessment seemed in-depth, but I felt they were putting too much emphasis selling their packaged product vs helping my child individually. They expected us to invest $10,200 and 4 1/2 hrs each week for 24 weeks but could not provide evidence of long-term success or sustainability. They used the same test as the initial test for evaluation of success at several time points, which is not an accurate measure of true cognitive improvement.  Not a good value.

  • We came to Lindner looking for an alternative environment for our daughter to complete her high school education. We had a one-on-one consultation with the director and owner as well as the head of the school program. We were able to individualize a plan to meet her educational and emotional needs. She has worked with different tutors for different subjects and we have seen a complete turn. Her GPA has completely reversed. She has become more confident.

  • Were using Club Z for our daughter Katie who needed help in Algebra and Chemistry. When we called, the staff was very polite and helpful. They set my daughter up with a tutor within a few days of calling them. My daughter's grades have already went from a C and C- to an A- and B. Our daughter's tutor is very knowledgeable, friendly and polite. I would definitely recommend Club Z to anyone.

  • We were thrilled to discover this fabulous education resource in our own backyard - Meridian Learning and Tasha Ring are located literally 5 blocks from our house in Meridian-Kessler. Ms. Ring has training in the Lindamood-Bell approach and has created a personalized program for our 7-year-old son who needs extra help with reading. He really enjoys his coaching sessions with Ms. Ring and we have observed dramatic, tangible progress in his reading capabilities. The tutoring rates are fair and reasonable, and much less expensive than some of the "franchise" learning centers scattered across Indy. The sessions take place in a delightful "one-room schoolhouse" that is tucked into a charming residential neighborhood near Butler University. Ms. Ring and Meridian Learning get our highest recommendation!

  • It is going very well. Dawn works well with teenagers and seems to be able to inspire them to work harder. She also has extensive knowledge of the college admissions process which helps her kids understand what is involved and lowers their stress levels.
