  • My dog had seizures and he passed away. They were really accommodating with it in terms of the schedule because it was pretty unexpected. So they were pretty available for that. Also they do this thing like cut some of her fur and they take her paw print. They kind of put all that stuff together like a care package. That was a really sweet thing for them to do.

  • Jane and John went above and beyond to be supportive, understanding and accommodating in the grieving loss of our pet.  They offered personally tailored options for the memorialization process, including cremation, keepsakes, cremains urns, 24/7 service hours and provide a peaceful facility to conduct visitation and memorial services.  I cannot say enough, how professional and caring this couple are.  Their dedication to animals is evidenced by their own pets, who lovingly greet and therapeutically console all who enter the Memorial Center.  At no time is there pressure or up-sellling of services.  And, most importantly, they allow everyone as much time as is needed, to work through the difficult process of grieving and losing a beloved family member.

  • Pet Angel was just amazing from start to finish.  We arranged to have Fred euthanized at our home and to have Pet Angel come out to collect him and provide cremation services.  The vet arrived around an hour late due to an emergency, but the gentleman from Pet Angel was as nice and patient as can be, and actually made the experience pleasant.  Somehow he knew when to disappear and reappear at all the right times.  He gave us as much time as we needed before he wrapped up Fred and took him away in a very dignified, respectful manner.  I picked up the remains a week later, and the woman at the facility was also extremely nice and thoughtful.  We didn't order anything fancy, and the box and presentation are simple and beautiful.  They even sent a card on the one year anniversary of his passing.  We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

  • Today, and two years ago, Bell Mortuary performed a private pet cremation for me. Everyone there is very caring and kind. They do not treat you like just some money or a number here, they understand that pets are companions too! Their prices are MUCH more reasonable than any other pet cremation service in town (and I called them ALL) too. I also have absolutely no doubt that the pet I take in is the pet returned to me in just two or three days - as opposed to the other companies that take weeks to return communal ashes to you and call it "private."

  • They picked up my Sophie at Airport Emergency Center on very short notice on a Sunday afternoon. They cremated her the next day and made a paw print and a nose print impression, as well as clipped fur. Very kind when I picked her up to bring her home for the last time.

  • My vet recommended that I contact Pet Angel on the day I had to have my 15 year-old Lhasa Apso euthanized. They were kind and empathetic on the phone and asked if I wanted to see the person picking him up from the vet or if I wanted him to arrive after I left. I am so glad that I agreed to have them come while I was still there. I felt a sense of closure in not leaving his body at the vet's office alone.
    The gentleman who picked him up was very nice. He was very patient when I needed a couple of extra minutes before I was ready to have him placed in the and quot;casketand quot; and covered up. It was a little strange to have him carry my dog out through the front of the vet's office instead of the back (there are two doors). I'm not sure what the protocol is, but it felt very awkward to walk out the front together.
    My dog's ashes were returned to the vet's office in 2 business days. They were packaged respectfully in a little velvet bag inside of a wooden box. They also provided me with materials on healing from pet loss.
    Although it's not a service I want to use, I am so glad I did. They helped to ease the pain of a very difficult time, and I'm sure that I will use their services again in the future.

    Update. Unfortunately, I had to use Pet Angel again just 37 days after they cremated my Lhasa Apso. They were able to meet me at their office within 1 hour of my calling about my 14 year-old Shih Tzu (on Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend). They were kind and compassionate. When I came to pick up her ashes, they gave me a larger box and put both of my dogs together. They even offered to use letter beads to signify the appropriate velvet bag for each dog.

    Additionally, they took some of my pet items that I no longer needed (beds, bowls, towels, and blankets) and donated them to the Humane Society for me. They took my leftover toys to a dog boarding facility since the Humane Society did not accept that type of donation. Their kindness and helpfulness really meant a lot during a very painful time in my life.

  • We really like them. They are not expensive and what I paid for their services is well worth it. They are not only professional but very accommodating as well. We had English Bull Dogs and they tend to have a lot of medical issues and if there was something that they were not able to handle then they were willing to send us to someone else. Dr. Mullen is very professional and good. The office is very clean with up to date equipments. If we ever got another pet we would not go anywhere else. She is an excellent animal physician. It is very important for us that the office is very clean because we don't want to go in to a vet's office that stinks. The staff members are wonderful.

  • I can't say enough about our experience with Pet Angel. I researched my options and was leaning toward Pet Angel because they had the most positive reviews on Angie's List. Ultimately, I chose Pet Angel though because they offered a private cremation service and viewing. I had never had a pet cremated before and it was so important to me to be sure that I was getting MY dog's ashes. This industry is not highly regulated, and the extra cost for a private cremation was worth it to me. I was able to view my dog before the cremation and witness her being put into the chamber. John, the owner, was so kind and considerate, he took several hair clippings at our request, and kept us informed throughout the process. There was a small private room with chairs and a viewing window. We had purchased an urn online over 3 years ago when Frisky was first diagnosed with cancer. I also had purchased a couple cremation pendants at that time. They were kind enough to put some of Frisky's ashes in the pendants for me at no extra charge. They did have a nice selection of urns available for sale on site. Our whole experience there was five stars. I would not hesitate to recommend them! Thank you John and Theresa!

  • They charged me $300 to cremate my recently deceased mother's dog. They did not provide any care to the dog at all. They did not tell me they were going to charge me $300 before they did it. They seemed to have charged me for a doctor's visit when they never actually saw the dog. They have damaged my credit because they keep on billing me for it. I told them that I didn't take him to see a doctor, just to be cremated.

  • I first contacted Flanner & Buchanan via email the week of 2/20/12, and I received an immediate response from the crematory services manager, Sharon.  She forwarded my contact information to salesperson Mike Patterson, who was initially unable to contact me due to a typo in my phone number (my fault!!). Once we were able to make a connection, Mike's communication was very helpful and respectful. Mike replied to each of my emails within 24 hours, and scheduled a meeting at a time most convenient for us.  He was able to schedule a meeting with my husband and I at the Flanner & Buchanan cremation center, which is located very conveniently near my workplace.  Mike was on time for our meeting, clearly and thoroughly answered all of our questions about prearranging cremation services for our dog, Amy.  At no time did Mike try to pressure us for unnecessary extras, and he had many helpful suggestions for going about purchasing or creating an urn for Amy.  Once Mike had finished answering all of our questions, the contract process was quick and painless.  He clearly explained all of the charges and included services.  Mike explained the differences among the three kinds of cremation services offered, and we chose to go with a private cremation. We also chose to prepay for pickup of the body, which Mike let us know could be from any location, not just a veterinary office.  Amy's remains will be provided to us in a velvet pouch which we will then be able to put in any kind of container we choose, and they will be accompanied by a certificate and pawprint.  They did not require us to purchase an urn through their company, which was a pleasant surprise.

    Additionally, Mike provided a brochure about F&B's green burial site at their Washington Street cemetery. We had questions about gravesite markers, and Mike thoroughly explained the grave coordinate system that F&B implements at all of their cemetery locations, so we were assured that with our without a marker the grave would be relatively easy to locate.  Further, he explained that any headstone or memorial marker would be required to be biodegradable materials, such as sandstone or wood.  He was able to calculate the monthly cost of two plots in the green burial area when financed over 60 months. Armed with that information, we will be in a much better position to decide when to move forward with prearranging our burials/cremation.  At no time did Mike try to pressure us into making a decision on the prearrangement, nor did he try to push us into prematurely signing any contracts in that regard. 

    At the end of our meeting, Mike introduced us to Sharon, the cremation services manager, and they both provided us with their contact information and the 24 hour line we would need to call when we we finally do need to exercise the arrangements.  At no point did they make us feel anything but welcome and respected.  I know we will turn to them when we need to make arrangements for our cat, Erik, and probably for ourselves, as well.
