  • Tech said building ICE behind back wall. Recommended unplugging for two days and see if that fixed the problem. Billed $70 with a 30-day no-charge return call if needed. Appreciate not just selling me a new icemaker and hope the defrosting works ! !

  • HORRIBLE! Used my warranty service and these people couldn't even call me within the required 24 hour time period. Finally called but didn't leave a message. I called them this morning and they rudely put me on hold for 8 minutes the first time, then 6 minutes the second time when I hung up and called back. Told me rudely, "you are not the only customer!!" "You are just going to have to wait" and when I asked for a manager he was even more obnoxious. Requested to my warranty service to transfer the service because these idiots can't even manage to answer the phone. I WOULD NEVER ALLOW THEM TO WORK ON ANYTHING!

  • First appointment to diagnose went well. Part came in and repair was scheduled for Tuesday fro 12pm-4pm. I explained to Amber that I had to leave by 4:30pm to pick up kids. She agreed and made a note on the work order. Called the day of the repair and was told they couldn't get there until 3:30pm-5:30pm. Explained that wasn't the original agreement and was told that was the only time. Rearranged pick up for kids to accommodate them. No call - no show on the repair until 6:30pm. Tried to call but phones go unanswered and email is returned. Tech calls at 6:30pm and finally shows up at 7:00pm. I explained that I am upset and he agreed that he would have been upset too and apologized for not calling me sooner. He did the repair and all seemed well. Until I ran a load of laundry and water started pouring out from underneath the washer. Called this morning to report that something didn't get fixed right and called no less than 12 times before the phone was answered. Voice mail is full and email comes back. Finally called an hour later and the phone was answered by Amber. Explained that I am an upset customer because of situation the day before and now I am more upset as there is water leaking. I was told that I don't know what I'm talking about, I am a liar and she "doesn't deal with customer complaints". Very rude, yelled at me and talked over me, never solved the problem. Had to call the warranty company and request a new contractor. Warranty company has now put them on the Refused Contractor List. AWFUL service.

  • My Kenmore refrigerator had a build up of ice in the freezer. The Appliance Medic repair man that came did not correctly diagnose the problem. He saw the the ice build up and said that the problem was due to the "aeration in the refrigerator" and the the small air filters were "clogged". He washed one filter of the two filters and suggested that I eventually buy new ones. I did not see any clogging or difference between a washed filter and unwashed one. Just one day after "his repair" the ice build up began as was before he came. I called the company and was told that a better professional would be sent. That never happened. The Appliance Medic repair man was very courteous, very polite and a very smooth talker. I was sure he repaired the problem and was very surprised that the ice began to build up immediately after his "repair". I then looked up the problem on the internet and found out that a build up of ice is a common problem and it is usually a problem with the drainage and nothing to do with the aeration. I called a technician from Turner appliance who un-blocked the drainage pipe solved the problem. I was charged sixty dollars for "diagnosis". I was very unhappy with the Appliance Medic service and would not recommend this company for anything.

  • I was very fortunate to have a compressor specialist available the day I called. He arrived on time and did some inspections and knew that the compressor was faulty. He looked at the model and serial number and informed me that the compressor was still under warranty! He instructed me to call the Sears (it is a Kenmore) help line and have it replaced. He could not do the work. I inquired about the replacement parts installed the day before and questioned the validity. He took out his "meter reader" and inspected the old parts. They were not faulty. I was not charged for the visit and I assured him I would be calling Turner Appliance first, next time. Also, an office employee, Roshetta?, was wonderful in helping me to determine a good replacement refrigerator as the company also sells appliances. She even went out of her way to look up appliances and called to discuss them with me. If I ever end up needing another appliance, I will be checking with Turner Appliance.

  • The repairman arrived on time and went straight to work. He opened up the front and checked some things and then looked at the back as well. He did some diagnostics/inquiries, etc. on his tablet. While there the grinding noise happened a few times. He said that they would need to get the part from downtown and install it later the next day. The next day when he arrived the part did not fit and so he had to drive back downtown to get the correct one. He ended up bringing back 2 different parts: an evaporator fan and a thermistor. He installed both and said we would need to wait a few hours before the refrigerator and the freezer would be back to proper temps. That never happened. We called the next day and requested the repairman to return. He did return that late afternoon and without doing any inspections, told us it was the compressor. I reminded him that nothing had changed from his first visit. Why didn't he figure that out in the beginning. He said that the other parts were needed also. Now I would need to buy a new refrigerator instead of having the current one fixed. He left. I called another appliance co. and they came out the next day and examined my unit and agreed that the compressor needed replacing. I showed them the old parts that had been replaced with new because they were not functioning. This repairman tested both "broken" parts with his amp/volt reader and assured me that they were fine. He also informed me that there were recalls with some of the parts and that my compressor was under warranty. Now I am waiting for Sears to come out in 2 weeks to make repairs or replace.

  • The serviceman, Brad, called ahead and arrived early in the window of time estimated. He quickly assessed our malfunctioning dishwasher and advised me that a certified factory technician would be needed to do the repair. He was forthright, honest and quick. In addition, he refused to require the trip charge stating, "I don't ask people to pay for my ignorance." He gave me a plan of action and tips for addressing issues in the future. It was a fabulous example of good customer service that we don't often see. Thank you, Brad and Broad Ripple Appliance Repair!

  • Washer would not power on. Advised that (1) the drum was broke and (2) the circuit board was out of order. I was advised that a new washer was highly advised and a model, but not a dealer, was recommended for best service based on their experience. They do not sell appliances, just service them. Very pleased.

  • Very well. Brad was quick to come out. He diagnosed the problem, and explained to me exactly what was going on. He took care of the problem, and did extra things that are above and beyond what I've come to expect in service. Would use again, and recommend highly!

  • Service Plus has done major plumbing, HVAC and air filtering work for us for the past two-and-a-half happy years: Sewer lateral pipe-bursting and re-piping; re-ducting of the snake pit in our basement and plenum repair; install and service high-end air filtering. I tell people Service Plus is the high standard for great service – the desk people, the back office, the professional and personable techs, the management and ownership. I don't believe we could do better than Service Plus.
