The Peraltas Remodeling & Services team did a phenomenal job on my home. I bought a spec home because of the proximity to work but didn’t like the options so I had all the floors pulled up and replaced with porcelain tile. All the stainless steel hardware was replaced with brushed nickel. The entire home was repainted. The ceiling fans and light fixtures were replaced, a water softener was installed, crown molding was added to the second floor and two bathrooms were completely redone. They were always prompt, respectful, dependable, reliable and informative. Sammy, Manny & Nelson always kept me informed and answered the multitude of questions I had. If I have any future remodeling needs the Peraltas team will be the only contractor that I call and you should too because they proved that excellent contractors still exist! Thanks to everyone on the Peraltas team!

Overall pleased with project. It was a major redo with full kitchen remodel and new tile floors throughout house. Zach and the crew did a great job managing time and going the extra effort to make sure details are done like you want. The office staff is great and always there to help as well. Budget is set upfront so no surprises and they will work out a payment schedule.

Julio and the team at RDA were great to work with. Their design exceeded our initial expectations on a master bathroom remodel that was a gut job. They made great use of functional space, offered very nice, high quality materials, worked on a very aggressive timeline, and delivered a project that was extremely well done and completed on time at a very reasonable price. Despite the constant in and out and extensive demolition they made a concerted effort to ensure the rest of the house as well as the construction area remained clean which we appreciated. Additionally, on the last day of work, cleaners were brought in to do a final deep cleaning on all impacted areas. Julio kept us apprised of everything that was being worked on and would let us know just about every day how things were coming and what the next thing to do would be. Very few things were out of scope from the quote we were given and everything was done exactly when we were told it would be done. I would strongly recommend them to anyone looking for remodeling work to be done and will likely be using his team for our next project.

Some garage ceiling sheetrock fell. There was also a bow in one of the ceiling joists. They jacked it up and anchored it solidly, replaced the sheetrock, put screws in other pieces, patched numerous holes and dings, and painted garage, and pressure washed floor. Garage looks like new.

Steve and Jerry were wonderful. They did so many things that I would consider above-and-beyond: 1. They accompanied me to Floor & Decor to advise on material choices. They made several suggestions based on their knowledge of how certain materials wear over time and how they'd look in our small space. Without their help, I would've made some rookie mistakes, for sure! 2. They were excellent communicators all the way through: when they started demoing the walls, they found lots of interesting electrical challenges; they brought me in right away and explained my options in a way that I felt good about. They were great at telling me when they'd be there the next day, for how long, and how noisy they might be. Since I work out of my home, it was important for me to know how noisy the next day might get so I could adjust my conference calls accordingly. 3. They were really kind to my kids. :) 4. Every day, they'd put down a strip of paper to protect our floors as they walked back and forth. At the end of the day, they cleaned up after themselves. THIS WAS SO AMAZING. It didn't feel like we were living in a remodel! 5. Jerry built our cabinets, so now we can say we have a custom bathroom sink/cabinet. :)

We are so happy we chose Seek Design & Renovation (SDR) to remodel our Master and Guest bathrooms and Kitchen/Dinning area. Their detail explanations and detail budgets assured us we would have the best remodel pro working on our home. SDR completed each project ahead of schedule, provided excellent communication and hands-on supervision at every step of the process. Everyone at SDR are extremely customer focused and completed each task with great attention to detail. They were extremely helpful with selections of counters, tile and paint and captured our vision to transform our kitchen dining area to our new “dining / lounge”. Our bathrooms’ custom cabinets were built with great pride and it showed. As a result, we expanded our project to reface the kitchen cabinet doors and drawers. Electricians, plumbers, painters, tile and counter crews are all master craftsmen and very trustworthy. We are already discussing with SDR about additional projects in 2020. This was the most enjoyable experience and our home looks amazing. We highly recommend talking to Seek Design and Renovation if you are considering a remodel. They truly enjoy what they do which makes the entire process a great experience. Thank you SDR!

Jim from Hovland Home Improvement has handled many projects for my home. He is thorough in his research and planning, reliable and accountable, and does great work. I had always found making decisions about home improvements stressful, until Jim started doing work for me. He presents different options and explains them well, is always budget conscious, and I feel like he wants to take care of my home as if it were his. Another really great part of working with Jim is that he is communicative and realistic about timelines, is always punctual and never leaves a mess. I highly recommend him and will continue to work with him, because like anyone who buys an older home, my list of things I want to do and need to do is always growing.

I was very impressed by the professionalism of Chapman-Lockwood. The owner, Cameron, was consistently punctual and very easy to coordinate with. He offered constructive advice on installation options and ultimately his advice led to a very successful project. Chapman-Lockwood's foreman and crew were very skilled, considerate, and treated my property with care. The attention to detail of their work was appreciated. I have received many compliments from neighbors on the finished product. Overall, my expectations were exceeded and I recently contracted Chapman-Lockwood for another home improvement project. They will be installing new tile flooring and painting the interior of my home.

My home flooded in Harvey, and Fire Reconstruction was responsible for the rebuild. Fire Reconstruction included new outlets in my quote, as they were adamant that the City would necessitate their replacement, even though they had not been damaged or touched by the flood waters. I agreed, but on the condition that I only wanted the electrical work done that was necessary by code, and I wanted to be involved if the City requested any upgraded electrical. Fire Reconstruction then pulled the electrical permit and arranged preliminary inspection by the City; the inspection report stated that all NEW devices had to be upgraded to AFCI and tamper resistant, there was nothing about replacing existing devices. Fire Reconstruction proceeded to replace them anyway, and at the end of the project I was assessed an additional charge to upgrade the wiring to AFCI. When I spoke to the city supervisor, he clarified that the ONLY reason the wiring needed upgrading was that Fire Reconstruction had replaced the outlets; and as written in the inspection report, all NEW devices fall under current code. I was told that had they left them alone, they would have passed final inspection as-is. I brought this to the attention of Fire Reconstruction, and they claimed they replaced them because the city inspector told them they had to, even though this contradicted the permit inspection report. They could provide me nothing to show that it was in fact necessary to replace the outlets, only hearsay and pointing fingers at the City. Fire Reconstruction staff is not current on city code, at least as it pertains to electrical, and made assumptions that in the end cost me $3100. They continue to blame the city and the permitting process, instead of taking the time to research and understand what the code requirements are. Overall their work was good, albeit slow at times, but as my general contractor I am paying a premium for their expertise and knowledge of city codes and I came away from this project angry that they would not even acknowledge their error.

Working with Peraltas was a good experience. They were very responsive, polite, and punctual. I had a lot of random jobs to be done in my condo including custom cabinets in a laundry room, replacing ceiling fans and lighting fixtures, wall crack repairs, regrouting a tile floor, a leak repair under the kitchen sink, and various other smaller projects. They were able to complete everything within a week. I would definitely use them for future projects.
