    Kingo LLC
11/15/2019 Aron with kingo came over and inspected the furnaces, agreed it was the time limit switches and transformer. $65 11/19/2019 installed time limit switches. Took approximately 2 hours for a job that should take 15 minutes so he could charge me more. Said he rewired the furnaces, installed transformer charge was $440. Parts and labor. Very next day upstairs furnace stayed on. Flipped breaker started working better. Week later had to replace transformer for upstairs furnace that was installed. Week later Upstairs furnace started acting up staying on regularly. Finally got Kingo to come replace upstairs time limit on 12/ 16 2019. Checked it said it was fine and maybe Thermostate. Last night upstairs furnace came on and stayed on making my smoke detector go off. Turned it off, stays on, took thermostate off the wall, stayed on. Flipped the breaker off again for 10th time this week. Always stays on and is dangerous. Went down stairs to sleep on the couch and the downstairs furnace wont woke either. 39 degrees outside. Called Kingo at 5am to get this fixed. Called all day to get fixed and just got text that he is in Hospital.....Needless to say I don't trust him anymore with my furnaces. 505 paid and neither work right. Breach of contract? Thanks for your help. Update: I forgot to mention that Kingo tried to steal my time limit switches when he replaced them with his junk. I made him retrieve them out of his truck otherwise he would have stolen them. I returned switches for $187 back to my card. Just for your information. Not trustworthy.

Wonderful. Loved the staff and the work completed. My home is amazing. They helped with advice and always honest even when, as with any remodel, timing is not what you planned !!! Its normal and you have to go in trusting your contractor. I was happy and felt they truly cared about me and my home. I love my home and the work they did!!

    Fox Residential Services Group
This is the second time I've used Fox Inspection and every time has been perfect. I attended one of the inspection and the inspector (Richard Flores) was fantastic. I was initially afraid my presence would slow him down, but he was quick, professional, and never seemed bothered by my questions. Both inspections delivered reports the same day of the inspection too! I also stopped by their office to pick up some free moving boxes. Bonus points to them for having a Wonder Woman cut-out at their reception area!

The remodel was great, Eric and his team were professional, considerate and did great work. Any issues were quickly remedied. The remodel was on an older home and the house had some underlying issues. All these concerns were handled very well. Would certainly use Distinguished Designs again.

Houston Heating & Air Conditioning

It goes without saying that Houston experiences hot summers and slightly chilly winters. To shield ourselves from the extreme climate conditions precipitated during the summer and to control those randomly cold nights during the winter, homeowners often install the very best heating and air conditioning systems.

The extent to which homeowners weatherproof their homes goes a long way in determining how much money they will save every month. Here are some strategies that homeowners can use to lower their HVAC bills.

Caulking around doorways and windows goes a long way in dramatically reducing heating and air conditioning bills. Nonetheless, homeowners ought to be beware of the fact that caulking may increase the levels of common household toxins such as carbon monoxide. Therefore, it should be undertaken by experts.

Temperature Regulation

During the sweltering summers that characterize Houston, it is advisable for homeowners to raise the household temperature especially when they are away from home. A misconception abounds, that cooling a home consumes an almost equal amount of energy to that would have been saved had the thermostat stayed constant. In the frigid winter days, homeowners should also lower their thermostats when not in the house.

Proper Maintenance of AC and HVAC Systems

According to the Energy Institute, the effectiveness of heating and cooling systems depends on how well they are maintained. Procedures that are often overlooked may end up affecting the effectiveness of these systems.

These procedures include the replacement of filters. Typically, filters are disposable, inexpensive and therefore, easy to replace. AC filters ought to be replaced every three months. This improves the flow of air into the heating and cooling appliances, thus enhancing the quality of air inside the houses.

Homeowners should similarly schedule regular inspections of their heating and air conditioning units to ensure optimum efficiency. Neglecting the systems goes a long way in increasing their utility bills - a qualified HVAC company can help with maintenance of old systems and installation of new systems.

Installing a New HVAC System in Houston

There are several resources for homeowners in Houston that need to install a new system:

Houston Permitting Center - research permits and requirements if you are installing a new system or replacing an old.

Schedule a City Inspection - make sure your heating or cooling system is safe and up to code.

Research Angie's List Houston - it's free to read reviews and find the best air conditioning pro.

.Useful Energy Conservation Tips

There are a number of tips that can enable homeowners who have installed heating and cooling systems, to significantly lower their utility bills. Those who have AC systems should consider using heat-generating devices such as dryers, ovens, and washers during the cooler hours of the day. In winter, it helps heat the house while it reduces the stress on AC systems in the summer.

To fully benefit from their cooling and heating systems for longer, Houston homeowners should ensure that the units are operating reliably and efficiently at all times.
