  • Xray tech was demeaning regarding the process and strongly implied that I am TOO OLD to even consider. He was the fourth person who asked, so the obviously don't talk to each other OR are being sure. No need EVER to speak to a customer that way, How dare he speak to me on such a delegate matter only go satiate his narcissism. Never going back there.

  • Was admitted unexpectedly when pulmonologist found low oxygen level during routine office visit.  Admission took a while (3 - 4 hrs).  My doctor was not very happy about this but the atmosphere was great and they gave me blankets (I’m cold natured). Everyone, from the doctors to housekeeping and all in-between were extremely kind, friendly and helpful. My only complaint and I mention it here in detail just to let people know that you (and your family members) have a responsibility in the care you receive.  I do not advocate harassing hospital staff.  God knows I wouldn’t want their jobs.  But you and your family can (and should) take an active role in your care.  Contact the patient advocate / liaison if you do not feel comfortable talking to the staff directly.  Do this before frustration escalates to a non-productive level.  Here is my example: O2 was administered after I was admitted to my room. My daughter noticed that there was no humidification on the O2 line and mentioned this to the pulmonologist when she arrived shortly after I was given a room. The doctor stated that O2 needed to be administered immediately and humidification would be added shortly. Over the next 24 hrs my daughter asked 4 times to have the humidification added. All said they would take care of it but there were no results. However, when she finally asked the charge nurse for help it was accomplished within minutes. The charge nurse was FANTASTIC!!!  Sometimes you just need to ask the right people.
The overall care, compassion and friendliness was exceptional, thus the “A” rating.

  • They got it better.  It's an excellent hospital.  They are great.  My mother-in-law first went to another hospital, and they did a lousy job.  They sent her to a nursing home which made her worse.  So we rushed her to Methodist Hospital who did an excellent job.  They then sent her to another hospital, and they were absolutely wonderful.
