  • It seems strange to review a funeral home but, my experiences here was good.  I thought it was important to write about it since, it is a time when you aren't thinking straight, need some sound advice, and want to be in good hands while making these type of decisions.    
    My family had a funeral service for my dearest sweet Mother in September and I was extremely satisfied with the services and hospitality of Provider name locked. . I would highly recommend our funeral director, Provider name locked. Amyes for his help with every detail.
    Provider name locked. spent numerous hours discussing our wishes, and educating us on each Dignity package and helped us through a very difficult time. I was impressed with Provider name locked. honesty and his empathetic demeanor, and ability to stay calm and patient while we decided on how to move forward.
    Provider name locked. had planned training the week of my Mother service so, Provider name locked. , Operating Manager helped with finalizing the service. I would have to admit, I was very worried but it all worked out except for a couple of minor items. The whole process made me
    feel good with trusting Provider name locked. with carrying out the final process with dignity.
    Provider name locked. was always timely with information, professional, and respectful.  The pricing compared to others was acceptable but, I know I am thankful that they made it uncomplicated for us, during the most difficult and sad time of my family’s

  • Every person we had contact with concerning my dad's death and burial were so kind, so professional, so helpful. We visited the funeral home the day before my father passed away. Since he passed away at home under hospice care, when they were contacted the following night, the two young men came very promptly.  They were so courteous and so respectful. The following day, my mother and I went back to the funeral home to sign the final documents and the staff allowed us to view my dad very briefly at that time. They handled absolutely everything we needed without question and without trying to talk us into any additional services than what we wanted. Every question I had was answered in a very helpful way whenever I called.  They were very patient and persistent to find the honor guard that would be at the burial - calling as many as 10 different groups before finding one. Everything was done with no pressure and so respectfully that I cannot recommend them enough.

  • This was a cremation of my mother who did not want anything 'fancy' and was to be buried in her home state of TN.  The location was the reason we went with Provider name locked. .  She died suddenly and we were not prepared.  They seemed fine but not great when we dealt with them to make the arrangements after her passing.

    Recently my brother also passed away here in Houston of cancer.  This time I had a bit more time to do some research even though upon entering hospice we had listed Provider name locked. as the funeral home.  He also wanted nothing fancy, just a direct cremation.  The hospice provided literature comparing funeral home pricing for traditional services and cremations.  Many were very inexpensive for direct cremation, as low as five to six hundred dollars.  I was a bit wary of prices so low as we had paid over $3000 about 18 months before.
    Considering that I was familiar with Provider name locked. having used them fairly recently, I decided to phone them to determine if the pricing on the document and their website was accurate and ask about any 'pre-need' discounts.  I thought that surely they would immediately point out some value in their service that I had not considered and that was not offered by the lower priced funeral homes. That was not the case at all. They were very abrupt and really had a 'take it or leave it' attitude.  I was quite taken aback by the entire exchange and especially by the cold and indifferent conversation.  And ultimately the price had even gone up to right around $3400.

    I phoned several other funeral homes on the list to determine what may or may not be included in the published prices and found that there are only a limited number of crematoriums in the area and most funeral homes do not have their own (including Provider name locked. .)  But all of the other funeral homes I contacted expressed at least some form of compassion for the situation that I was in losing my sibling who was only 47.  And whether or not they had a standard script, I have to say that overall they sounded sincere.  No other had the nonchalant "You saw our prices didn't you?" type of attitude.

    I chose to go with Provider name locked. and will be reviewing them next.  The cost was $1295 and they were very professional and pleasant to deal with especially under the circumstances.  I did not purchase ahead of time, rather I simply changed the designation on the form at the hospice to Provider name locked. after I had spoken with them and made my decision.  Chip Provider name locked. phoned me personally after they were notified that my brother would be coming into their care and they had wonderful follow up while allowing me adequate time to provide all necessary information.
