    Houston Asko Repair
Contacted this company for the repair of our Asko dishwasher and they scheduled someone to be onsite the next day. The technician that arrived was a subcontractor and not an employee of Houston Asko Repair. He was inexperienced and highly unprofessional. After several calls to the original service company to seek help it was determined that due to the circumstances of the repair and the lack of assistance from the original service company that it was necessary to have the technician leave our home. The technician was vulgar and disrespectful to me and my wife and wanted payment for a job that he was unable to complete. I requested the original service company engage with the technician; however they declined. It required us to call the local police to remove this person from our home. The invoice for the service diagnosis, parts, and repair was for a company called The Appliance Repairmen and I suspect they are nothing more than brokers for contract labor. They receive the payment for the initial service diagnosis. The technician is paid for all parts and the labor. The labor is a floating price as determined by the technician. None of this is or the fact that the technician is a contractor was communicated on the front end by either the original service company or the technician. We will not be using this service again and would not recommend their service to anyone. I would recommend that if you require appliance service that you query the service company to ensure you are getting a quoted fair price and that the company has their own (W2) employees as contractors are paid by the job and can charge what they think they can get. Try to mitigate all surprises. This company appears to be affiliated with The Appliance Repairmen and possibly Grapevine GE Repair/The Appliance Repair (877-917-1015).

    GE Appliance Repair
Seen in the best light, the service provided by all parties - the extended warranty company (GE branded), the service company (GE Appliance Services), and the service technician (Robert O'Sullivan) was incompetent and negligent. In the worst light, it was also fraudulent and criminal. The condensate drain problem with this GE Profile model #PFSS6PKX (actually a GE branded Samsung) was so well known that Samsung had issued a repair kit to be used for solving the problems. Even Amazon carried this repair kit for less than $25 ([*** Link removed ***] However, instead of performing THE OFFICIAL FACTORY REPAIR, Robert came out the first time and hung a piece of aluminum wire on the evaporator defrost heating element and said "this was the standard repair". When that (of course) failed to fix the problem, he came back two months later and declared the problem "unrepairable" and terminated the warranty which triggered a partial refund of our warranty payment. Of course, in the two months between his visits, the partial refund amount was reduced by over $200. So much for expecting any honesty, knowledge, experience or skills from ANY of the three parties serving us. We subsequently contacted a QUALIFIED repairman and he told us to buy the repair kit and he came and installed it. Needles to say, that has now completely solved the problem. IN SHORT, I STRONGLY DISCOURAGE ANYONE FROM: 1) EVER BUYING ANY GE APPLIANCE 2) EVER USING GE APPLIANCE SERVICES 3) EVER BUYING AN EXTENDED WARRANTY FROM GE APPLIANCES 4) EVER LETTING ROBERT O'SULLIVAN WORK ON ANY OF YOUR APPLIANCES.

My 3 year old oven hasnt been working consistently since MAY!! ASI has been out many times and it takes forever for them to come, I have to block out my whole day to be home for them bc I cant schedule a time. 4 different appliance guys have been out and ordered parts. Each time a technician comes to install he says the guy before ordered the wrong parts. They even ordered a part which was replaced in August and didnt fix the problem. -one day the guy knocked and didnt ring the bell so i didnt hear him and he left. -One time the guy came and I had my cleaning lady meet him here bc I couldnt leave work and he left a message saying that we must have set it wrong because everything works fine. It doesnt work fine and he didnt call my husband while he was here as requested. Unfortunately, I am stuck with asi bc theyre the only ones in my area certified for jennaire. I am SO frustrated!! May-November is TOO LONG FOR AN OVEN TO NOT BE REPAIRED! I have called and emailed asking for a manager or owner to call me and no one has responded.

Aron called promptly to set up an appointment. I was told about $50 fee to come out and diagnose the problem. He arrived with a helper and told me that I would need to replace the bake element. He called his warehouse and the part was available. Total cost to me with one year warranty was going to cost $260. I said that was too high and I could almost buy a cheap oven for that price. He lowered price to $220 without warranty. I declined the service and was out the $50 fee to diagnose the problem. I bought the part I needed online for $30, watched a 10 minute video on youtube and fixed the oven myself. I feel like he was polite and upfront about the fee but his prices were double what I was expecting to pay for a simple job. I will probably try to fix my own appliances in the future before calling a repairman.

    American Home Shield
I've been trying to work with them for 4 to 5 months. One time, they send someone telling that there's no problem but there is, then another day they send another one who can't speak in English and advice me that if I want to replace the contractor I need to pay again, then when I cancelled the service with American Home Shield, they said that I'm not longer protected by the warranty because I'm no longer a member.

    Andy's Appliance Repair
It was a Saturday morning, but I called Andy's because if their high ratings. Within 30 minutes a tech called to say he was on his way. After discussing my father's symptoms and then potential cost to fix it, I decided to get a new model. Without the tech's honest feedback and professionalism, I might have wasted hundreds of dollars. Definitely keeping Andy's Appliances in my contacts list!

    On Premise Appliance Repair
The tech was extremely helpful. Gave us an accurate description of the problem and an estimate on cost and time. We moved forward with the repair. The tech immediately found a secondary issue when starting the repair and informed us that it would not be worth the cost in fixing the secondary issue; spending on a new unit would be best. We appreciated his honestly and paid him for the service call. Would use this company again based on honesty alone, however, the price and estimate were on par with other quotes and research. Many thanks!

    Appliance Home Service
We noted on Friday night that our ice maker had stopped making ice and when we checked the freezer we noted that the ice cream had also melted. I did some research and contacted Appliance Home Service around 08:00 Saturday morning to request onsite service. I was contacted by Mike and he was onsite by approximately 09:45 and diagnosed immediately that we had a failing compressor as the temperatures in the freezer and refrigerator were too high...though the compressor still seemed to be was not completely dead. Mike stated he would check for an available compressor replacement and if there was one in stock he would be back on Monday to resolve the issue. Later on Saturday Mike contacted me to let me know that there was a compressor in stock but as a contingency he had also ordered one from Dallas. On Monday Mike called me to let me know that he would onsite between 12:00 and 15:00 to do the replacement. At approximately 13:00 Mike arrived onsite with another technician and they quickly replaced the failed compressor. I should mention that Mike told us during the original diagnosis that we should consider getting some dry ice to supplement the freezer and refrigerator temperatures until he could return to do the compressor replacement. This was a good tip and one that we used to our advantage. Now the repair is complete and the 10 year old LG French Door refrigerator is back in business without any loss of food...except for the refrozen ice cream. Fantastic service and we will certainly use their services in the future for any further appliance issues. Kudos for Appliance Home Repair for their quick response, quick repair, and great customer service. We gladly provide a terrific reference for this business.
