  • The company was responsive and I'm very pleased with the final product. I received an estimate in May and they weren't able to fit me in until mid-June. Their first day happened to be on a Saturday and the crew worked until 6:30!  They were very professional, they answered all my questions, and troubleshot with me on patio placement. They even followed up after completion to make sure I was satisfied with their work. I would definitely refer them to friends and use them again for other masonry needs.

  • this concrete walkway was probably not a big job as far as these things go; 38 feet by 42 inches, and it was a replacement for a walkway that had been in place many decades.   The old walkway was removed earlier by a contracter we had hired to resurface & pave our driveway.
Provider name locked. framed the walkway on Saturday, 11/2, and came back Monday when the concrete was available to pour.   On Monday prior to the concrete delivery, Provider name locked. prepped the walkway with a Provider name locked. gravel rock and steel mesh.   I was very happy to see the mesh work, had not expected this, the prior walkway certainly did not have any wire underlay.  the poured concreteas from a single batch off the truck.  the finished worked was covered with a protective plastic sheet that was removed on Wednesday. We live next door to a school, and Provider name locked. had a worker remain after completion to ensure students stay off this walkway when school let out at 3pm.  On Wednesday when I came home from work, the plastic sheet was gone, and the gap left by the framing was back filled.  No materials from the job were left; clean work.    The finished walkway is perfect; slopes away from the house and where it meets the city sidewalk there is a smooth transition.   The walkway has the brush strokes on the surface we had asked for to ensure good traction.
the repair to the concrete step, which I had asked for only a couple days before the work started was done freehand.  Given the location and the fact this was a resurfacing job, framing might have not been possible, just the same, excellent work, and no mess left for me to pick up.
We were a little nervous that this work was done too late in the year,  not the fault of Provider name locked. , totally our fault for a number of reasons, but the cool temps do not appear to have compromised the work.   I suppose this review will need to be updated next spring, since I really can't say a great job was done until at least one winter has gone by.   I will put a reminder on my calendar.  At this point my wife and I are very pleased with the look and feel of our new walk.   Provider name locked. will be on the top of our list next time we need any masonry work done.
  • Working with Provider name locked. and Provider name locked. was a pleasure. They are true craftsmen and the treat each home as if it was their own (they told me that at the start -- and now I believe it). At first we agreed to repoint the main fireplace chimney but after Provider name locked. inspected the chimney more closely, it was apparent that it was safest to take it down. Rigid worked with me to design a new chimney that would look authentic to the house but be designed to better handle the tough CT snow and rain with an extended cap around the brick body of the chimney. The quality of the work is fantastic. They matched the bond of the brick of my house to that of the chimney and also matched the joints (I was not an expert but apparently i have a Flemish Bond and a rake joint). The brick we chose looks almost exact to the house brick (which has a bit of luck there as they don't have original brick lying around) but Provider name locked. and Provider name locked. scoured the brickyard to find the bricks that would look best. Its also obvious that they took care to install the brick so it mimiced the color and installation of the main house brick. I could not be more pleased with the work and give them my highest recommendation. I knew they were not the cheapest option -- but I think if you want the cheapest option your masonry won't look as good as the work Rigid does. I've looked at other chimenies on my block and most look like the mortar was simply slapped on and has a very sloppy look. Mine is simply the work of a careful, serious craftsman and I got what I paid for - and more... but that didnt stop me from negotiating with Provider name locked. on the price of course. Call them and they will give my name as a reference and anyone is invited to take a closer look at the workmanship.
