Garage Door Repair And Installation reviews in Hartford

    Precision Door Service
Precision Overhead Garage Door Service came out ASAP when my garage door broke with my car inside. They were able to open to door so I could get my car out and then secured it until the new door came. I had called other companies, but they didn't care too much about my situation, only that it would take weeks for someone to come and give me an estimate on a new door. The new door arrived and was installed in one hour! Both service men who came to my home were very profession and courteous. They were wonderful representatives of the company they work for. I would encourage anyone who needs new garage doors or repair of their doors to contact this company. I cannot say enough about them!! Thank you Precision Doors for helping me.

    Quality Overhead Door LLC
Price was good compared to other. Billy got a call and came in the next day to fix a broken spring on my garage door. I mentioned a squeaky hard to close on the other door and he made some adjustments and greasy the door and it is moving much better now (no charge for it). Overall he did a great job and I highly recommend his service.

    Speedy Garage Door Services
I needed urgent repair for broken door, and Speedy was able to come next day, an put together a band-aid repair right away, until the permanent replacement parts came in. I was able to use my garage door right away, and they were very helpful.

    Precision Door Service
I would highly recommend Precision garage door. They were able to come out the same day when my door broke and was in the open position. I was leaving for the weekend and they came right out. After looking at the door it was determined that I needed a new door (mine was 50 years old). They gave me an estimate right then. I called later and scheduled a replacement door which took 3 weeks to come in. Then it was installed easily and professionally and looks great!

    24H Garage Doors
Needed to have a quick turnaround on installing the doors. The technicians were at our house the day after we called to give an estimate. I was surprised that a complete solution (remote controls, keypads, etc.) was available for the estimate given. Although there was some miscommunication as to when they were to start the job, It was finished the same day started. Simon the installer worked until the job was done, and kept us in the loop about his progress and questions he needed answered before proceeding. The doors

    David Albert Construction
i'll be honest, my experience was just terrible. Dave quoted 900 for the job which he said would take a couple of days. after a couple of hours, with a large hole outside my house, he said he was going away for a long weekend with buddies. this type of stuff went on for weeks--Dave couldn't come because of his birthday, golf or day or weekend out with his friends, then another siding job came up for Dave, and then Dave's wife got ill, and at some point I stopped trying to figure out what's made up and what's real. During this lingering period, Dave increased the amount to 1350 (that's 50%), which he said was a break. I didn't ask for any extra work, and the original arrangement was not "subject to" any conditions, so there is no legal basis for this change in price. frankly, I felt I had no choice so I agreed to this arm twisting tactic knowing I was gifting Dave with 50% more than we agreed upon--a strong-armed bonus. Dave asked for the full check before completion, I told Dave I'd give him 2/3 of the money and give him the rest when he completed. Dave took the 1000 (that's 100 more than we agreed upon at the outset for the whole job), said he'd be back in a couple of days, and he disappeared, never to return, leaving junk in my house. When I found someone else to finish the work, they showed me how completely skewed the work was, where you could see light entering through the corners of the door. Dave installed foam spacers that came with the door in such a way that they were being sheared apart by the friction of the misaligned door rubbing against the door jam. (I have pictures of all this but I'll keep them on the cloud for now). and to top it off, I found most of my communications with dave were frankly a bit unpleasant. like I was intruding on his life by calling to see when things were going to get done. when he was there, the attitude was as though I was forcing him to do something he had no interest in doing. the two day job that went on and on and on. it wasn't right.

    Atlas Overhead Door Sales
The guy that showed up asked how old the door was and when I proceeded to say 7 years old... he told me the door was on borrowed time. I told him I was not having ANY issues and had owned a previous home and the door was over 22 years old!!! It made me very hesitant to have him work on the door, as I thought he would do a crappy job and then I would need to replace it!!!

    Atlas Overhead Door Sales
Not well-- technician showed up late and annouced right away he didn't have the right parts for our doors. He was clearly having a bad day and decided to pass that along to me-- not at all professional. First time I've ever had a problem with Angie's list vendor-- normally excellent

    24H Garage Doors
I had called this service at 6pm. Jacob, owner and operator came to my home at 8pm, to examine the work scope and give me an estimate. I paid a $500 deposit. He came back the next day at 3 pm and completed the task of replacing both doors by 7:30pm. He was very professional and courteous. He even cleaned up the area of debris and took away my old doors for a small extra fee. I am quite pleased with his work and the new doors work more smoothly and are quieter. I have recommended this service to my neighbor.

    Overhead Door Co of Hartford
We thought we would have to replace our 20 year old opener. But the Overhead Door serviceman advised that for a small service charge, the opener could be adjusted so that it would work and probably give us a few more years of service. We chose that option and it has worked very well since then.
