You say female pipe to copper pipe connection - I hope you are not saying they connected copper directly to galvanized or black iron pipe. If so, there should have been a dielectric union put in there to prevent corrosion, which could be part of your problem.
Also, generally a bad idea to use teflon tape for hot water tank connections - too much thermal cycling, loosens it up over time. Should use plumbers dope for that application.
It sounds to me like a connection problem - if the tank itself was leaking it should be flooding the top of the tank or more likely running down through the insulation and dripping out the bottom.
Unless you are a do it yourselfer, sounds like you need to find a new plumber with good reviews and rating in your area - Search the List (in green banner bar). This should be an easy fix - should have him put in dielectric couplings (about $5-10 each depending on pipe size) if current connection is iron to copper, and even if not, have him redo connection not only for cold but also hot water - if one was done poorly, probably both were.

bill from NV Power for $750.00, while I pay $112.00 a month

that I am now paying DOUBLE in electric when they promised to save me
money. They flat out lied to me. Their customer relations department
doesn't care when you call. Do not ever go with . They are a

company. What does that say about the company? Go with Sun Run, they
are a better company and they don't lie and steal from their customers.

Elemental was very friendly and amiable where some other companies' representatives were awkward and difficult to interface with.
Elemental was prompt and professional where some other companies showed up to appointments a half hour late with no warning or explanation.
Elemental was very easy to communicate with, forthcoming with information when I asked questions, and great at explaining very technical details in an understandable, manner. Some other companies made me feel like I was pulling teeth.
Elemental was respectful of my privacy and not at all pushy on the sales front where some other companies incessantly emailed and called me on the phone trying to my business back after I'd already told them 'no'. Ugh.
Elemental was incredibly quick to install everything. The panels and electrical wiring were physically in place only 10 days after me signing the contract, and it was completed within the span of a single day. Other companies gave me estimates as high as 6 months before they would be able to begin construction.
Elemental's employees have been directly involved with non-profit organizations that work to provide clean water and energy to developing nations around the world. It felt pretty great personally to support a business whose members do such work.
Perhaps most objectively, Elemental's quote was less than almost every other quote I received for a comparable system, often significantly so. One company offered a lower bid, but they had .... other problems. (see above)

The door-to-door rep never made an appointment, but rather just said he'd come back at a later date.
Since the consultant was in our front yard, I chatted with him about the products offers - Basically they sell you a complete grid-tied solar system, and finance it so that your monthly payments are roughly similar or less than your current electric bill, over some defined period. The consultant was amenable, and I was interested, so I requested a free quote. This time we did actually schedule an appointment.
The consultant showed up promptly at the scheduled time to go over the 'proposal' with me. His supervisor also showed up to go over details with me. Since I make it a point to never invite people into my house who cold call, I did not invite them into the house, preferring to talk with them standing in the driveway. They invited themselves in, and when I said no, things got strange. The supervisor then insisted that my wife also be present to go over the proposal. The supervisor was giving off a very strange vibe, and decided that he did not want to go over the proposal with me. Something was very off with him, so I told them that they were making me uncomfortable and asked them to leave. It is a shame. I was really interested in what they had to offer. But the cold-call, combined with the non-existent scheduled consultation, combined with the insistence to come into my house and the insistence to not show me the proposal with out my wife present was very very strange, and very very unprofessional.
Add to this that there is very little information about the company on their website, including no local address nor local phone number makes me very suspicious of these guys. At best they are very new, have no experience in home improvements, and may improve with experience. At worst, these guys are very suspicious and potentially dangerous.

My point person would often take a week or more to get back to me. He told me that power would be turned on in 7-8 weeks and I had nothing else to do or worry about. That was not the case. On two seperate occassions, after I called them, they realised I hadn't signed all of the documents even though they previously told me I had. They claim this didn't delay my power being turned on, but I don't see how that's true. My power was eventually turned on 20 weeks after the panels were installed instead of 7-8 weeks. That's three months later than they assured me. I felt it would be right for them to credit me back two months of power which amounted to less than $160. Not a lot, but it would be a nice gesture. It took me four weeks of calls/emails and getting bounced from person to person before they told me that they could give me either $40 back or a $100 gift card to Restaurants.com. Really? A giant corporation can't cough up $160 credit? When I told the supervisor that I'd be telling my neighbors and putting this all in my online reviews she said it was illegal to include her name. Not sure if that's true, but I don't feel like being sued over this, so I'm leaving her name out of it.
Seeing as solar companies are a dime a dozen and they all pretty much offer the same deals, just go with another company that has better customer service. I wish I had.

There were a total of 4 inspections done on the house as a result of multiple failures.
1. The first inspection failed as a result of ...MoreRead more of this review the inspector finding the sealant they used to be insufficient for outdoor use.
2. The second inspection failed when the inspector actually went inside and looked at the electrical work and found that they had hooked up to my panel without the 3 feet of clearance needed to pass inspection.
- This would not have been a big issue as I understand that they did not setup my basement. The part that unbeknownst to me the electrician had a conversation with my father-in-law and even told him it would not pass inspection but decided to do the work anyway.
3. As a result of failed inspection 2 it was determined that in an attempt to expedite things they would hook up to the socket outside to move and replace the panel.
- This also resulted in a failed inspection because the local inspector informed them that when they move and replace an electrical panel it is considered a service upgrade and requires the socket to be replaced outside. The plan to hook up in this manner ended up causing extra time to the project by a couple weeks.
4. The fourth inspection was really a 4th and 5th inspection because the inspector needed to come out and confirm everything appeared OK before electricity could be turned back on in my house and then to come back out and finally pass the inspection.
While (the office manager) was sympathetic for the issues came out for the installation at the beginning of May and we did not pass inspection until .
With confirmation that the system had been turned on I was told a few weeks later I had a conversation with that they would be mailing me paperwork and to send it back once I received it. I waited a few weeks before calling and apparently no one found it necessary to send it out. I also had to contact the monitor company so I could get an account setup as no one had provided any guidance as to setup monitoring in the month that I had service. The paperwork I got was found to be lacking as well, while it did contact manuals it had no note or anything as to what the forms were for and a copy of the 2014 tax forms as well. When I inquired I was told they were just for reference but a note would have been helpful.
Overall it seems like other customers had no issues but every step of the way I encountered issues and lost 2 months of production(they did reimburse me for one month) and have had absolutely no guidance from on what is needed to be done to sell my SRECs when they do become available when the state certifies my system in January.
I would never be able to recommend to anyone I know looking for solar.

In my mind this is a NO BRAINIER of an investment, if you are passed the price tag and if you have decent sun exposure. It takes very basic math to figure it out and is great at explaining if you don't.
In a matter of a week after I first contact and (who came to my house) I was signing a contract with them. All the timeline and milestones that the laid out for me were met. In two weeks or so, can to survey our roof. Panels were ordered on time and the installation was done also as promised a month later or so. The actual installation took only 2 days, so actually 1day less than what they had originally predicted (way to go and his crew!)
You can really tell that they have great communication (just as a family should be!). One you talk to one of them, he/she would know what you have talked to the other one.
A week after the panels were installed, came to our house and delivered a nice binder with lots of information about our panel system. They call it a "Costumer Care Book". Talk about customer care and professionalism! he took the time to go over it with me.
Did I mention that they were all so willing to respond questions so many times along the way? you really feel backed up by the Sunergery team. was another person who also was so patient with me. She told me that they are (and will continue) checking my energy production regularly to make sure that it is doing what they estimated. They also installed a wireless gauge that connects to the internet so I can check how much energy I use and produce at any given time in my pc/phone. This has become one of my obsessions now.
I have recommended to enyone with my eyes closed. Indeed, a couple of friends got enthusiastic and contacted them also. It turns out that they had too much shade in their roofs so Sundergy told it might not be a good investment for them...talk about work Ethics now!!
This is the first time a write a review about anybody or anything in Yelp, but I feel this is the least I can do for such great team of people.
Needless to say, but just to make sure I get the point across, they are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! (that's why I know all their names)
