Amazing ability to identify what was causing problem, create relatively simple fix with recommendations for further work if desired. These guys are true professionals who kept at it until found cause of problem.

    HL Bowman heating and air
That was fine. They do this crazy travel charge. They did come out right away. They always do come out when I call. It's not the case of them putting me off. I would call them again. They could drop that gas charge. Their price is okay, they are all high.

Good, the guy analyzed the situation, figured we had to snake the drain a bit deeper/farther than I had on my own (w/ my 25 ft generic 'snake') He brought in the 'big gun' and got it cleared. Took just under an hour. I'd recommend them.

These guys were amazing! We discovered that we had a blocked main sewer on Sunday night. We called first thing Monday morning and they were at our house by 9am. The drain was open an hour later. The tech even swept all the blackwater out of our garage when he was done. Superior service, excellent price and quality work!

A service provider came out in July due to my low water pressure and said my water pressure tank was going bad (cost to replace would be ~$800). Not satisfied (water pressure tank wasn't that old), I contacted HL Bowman. I told the technician what I had been told by the other service provider.
The technician started from the ground up in terms of diagnosing the issue, walking me through the steps he was taking (I was curious). In the end, it ended up being a loose valve stem. Since my pressure switch was in a bad state, the technician replaced that too after asking for my approval. Instead of simply chalking up and having me replace my water pressure tank, the technician was honest, professional, answered all my questions, and left me happy as I saved a whole bunch of money.

    Guardian Plumbing LLC
I called Guardian plumbing on Labor Day, because the shower stopped working the night before. I spoke with Joel, and he set up a time to come out the following day. He arrived when he said he would, and he was very professional. I was very happy with him, and expected to hire him for the job.
I showed him the piping, and he explained he could cut the pipe at different parts. The farther back he replaced the better, but the more expensive. He also stated he would replace the trap, and would prefer to replace the entire drain while he was at it. I had no problems with any of this, even though the drain had just been put in less than a year ago. Joel went out to his truck to calculate how much it would cost. At this point, I was still planning to hire him to just get the job done as soon as possible. I had read that he was a little expensive, but most people seem thrilled with his work, so I didn't mind paying a little extra for quality work and prompt service. When I got the estimate, my heart almost stopped.
He gave me two drain options, a nicer one and a slightly lower quality one. For the installation of the "budget" drain, as well as having a new trap installed, he wanted $694. For the more expensive all-brass drain and new trap, he wanted $817. At this point, my shower still wouldn't be able to drain, as the clog was deep in the piping, well past what he would replace for this price.
To actually get my problem fixed and get the rest of the pipes replaced, it would cost $324 if he did it while he was already out. If he did it a a standalone job, or if he came back to do it, it would cost $682. Plus, it cost $50 for a service fee just for him to come out and look.
In other words, the cheapest pricing I could get from him to actually get the issue fixed was $732 (pvc pipes + $50 service charge. This wouldn't include a new trap) The job I was expecting to get done (new trap + all new pipes), would have been at least $1067, because he insisted on replacing the drain. If I had picked the most expensive drain and had him come back a second time (not sure why I would, but he gave me the pricing options,) it would have been $1584. I grudgingly paid him the service charge, and started calling other plumbers as soon as he left.
One guy called me back, and was able to come that same day for an estimate as I was already off work. He also wanted to replace the drain. I asked him to give me a price with and without a new drain installation. He informed me the drain would cost $30 extra. When he looked at the piping, he said he would just replace all of the old piping that led away from the shower drain, which is exactly what I wanted to have done. He also went out to his truck to calculate an estimate. When he got back, he told me it would be $300 for the entire job (including the drain). There was no service charge for the estimate. I hired him immediately. He came the next day, replaced everything in two hours, hauled all the old piping away for me, and even fixed a minor issue I was having with my sink at no charge. I couldn't be happier with that plumber.
Joel/Guardian wanted a minimum of $767 more for the same work. To put it another way, he wanted almost two weeks of wages from me for two hours of work on his part. The drain I had installed likely isn't what Joel would have put in, but I don't care. Water drains down it fine, and it stops water from draining when I want it to. It also looks nice. That's all a shower drain needs to do.
As I said before, Joel was very professional and prompt, and I don't mind paying a little extra for quality work. But 3x more is not a "little" extra. I have no doubt that Joel/Guardian does nice work based on all the great reviews, but I highly suggest anyone get estimates from others if they are considering hiring them. I'll find a use for the $700 I didn't spend hiring him.

    Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup
It went well! I called in the afternoon and they could get me in the next morning! The lady on the phone was nice and professional. They called prior to arrival, which was on time. They thoroughly cleaned the main drainage pipe, which was found to clog due to multiple valleys in the pipe. They cleaned up after themselves too. Would use again!

I called this morning (it was very hot).  They were here within two hours!  George, the service technician, was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable.  He had my air back up and running within an hour.  This is probably the best service I have ever received from a in home repair company!

I cannot say enough. I messaged for service, described the problem, and gave my contact information. By 7:36 the next morning, I had a reply to my message, and by 7:39 am, I had a phone call. We arranged for service the next day. The plumber was tied up with a service call before me that took unexpectedly longer than anticipated. The office kept me informed all day, but ultimately arranged for the plumber to come after business hours to hold up their end of the commitment. After a very long day for him, he arrived as unfatigued and as pleasant as if I was the first call of the day. He explained everything, endured a thousand paranoid questions from me, tolerated my hyperviligilence on everything, and worked steadily. Of course, the problem was easily solved and I had made a mountain out of a mole hill. He cleaned up everything spotlessly and still apologized for not doing a good enough job, even though I couldn't understand when he was referring to. He gave great, reasonable recommendations on plumbing maintenance and timelined other plumbing-related projects we might want to consider. The whole experience was a relief and now, we have a great, reliable plumber we can call on instead of panicking. What could be better?

    Mr. Rooter of Lebanon
Claimed that my sanitary line was defective and needed to be replaced at a cost of over $6000.00.
I hired another service to do a second opinion.  They cleaned out the line at a cost of $175.00.
Let this be a lesson to everyone.  ALWAYS get a second opinion or service before spending big money.
