    Madd Hatter Critters
Tom responded to the Angie's List request within a few hours, and was at my house two days later. He applied the pesticide and sealed up the gap in moderate rain, and then came back several days later to make sure everything was OK. The pricing was very fair, and he was a pleasure to work with. Responsive to emails, texts and calls. I'd hire again without reservation.

    Tuff Turf Molebusters
I contacted TuffTurf in Fall 2017 to assess significant mole damage in my yard. Even though I had found two moles (one alive, one dead) over the two weeks prior to that appointment, their technician reported that there was not an active mole population. Based on that report, their sales consultant told me that it would be completely appropriate to schedule lawn rolling and aeration in Spring 2018. He did not believe that starting a mole treatment program was necessary, and in fact strongly argued against it. To their credit, the technician that completed the lawn rolling in Spring 2018 did a great job. She introduced herself beforehand, was very personable, and was very respectful of my yard and landscaping. However, just a few weeks after completing this service, my yard - once again - showed evidence of an active mole population. This completely destroyed the benefit of the lawn rolling. I contacted TuffTurf for an explanation. They told me that, even though they had concluded in the Fall that there was not an active mole population in my yard, moles should have been expected to return in the Spring. No one bothered to share this information with me at any point in time. In fact, they not only told me that a treatment program was unnecessary, but allowed me to schedule and pay for a service (lawn rolling) that they had to have known would be undone shortly after it was completed. Jeff Skully, general manager at TuffTurf, was very patient with my questions. However, he essentially blamed me for not purchasing a treatment program and for scheduling lawn rolling ... even though I had simply followed the recommendations of his employees! He apparently expected me to trust the recommendations of his sales consultant and technicians, yet also believed that I should have completely ignored them.  Based upon that, he was completely unwilling to offer a refund. Although everyone at TuffTurf was very easy to work with, they simply were not able to deliver on the promises listed on their website. Their evaluation of the mole population in my yard was inaccurate, they recommended *against* a treatment program despite later telling me that moles should have been expected to return, they sold me a service that they should have known would be undone shortly after it was completed, and - worst of all - blamed me, the customer, for everything that went wrong. My advice? There are other pest control companies. Use them.

    TRAVIS PEST CONTROL
Box Elder bugs had invaded my home and were everywhere all winter long. I was easily killing 10-20 bugs a day every day. I finally had enough and after a very frustrating call to a Orkin I called Travis Pest Control. They informed me that mid-winter was not the best time to spray and they were unsure of whether the service would be effective and cautioned me to wait until spring. I was desperate to get rid of the bugs and ignored their caution and hired them to come and spray the inside of my home mid-winter. The service was for one inside spray mid-winter and a spray in spring for $200. Within 2 days after the mid-winter spray the bugs were virtually eliminated. I went weeks without seeing one. I was very satisfied with the service. They showed back up as promised to spray this spring and my home remains bug free. I'll recommend them to anyone for this service.

    Rose Pest Solutions
The required I pay for 3 treatments. They did two treatments. They never followup-ed to do the third. Fortunately, two treatments was all that was needed needed (likely only one was needed, my opinion). Seems like I should have been refunded for the third treatment - since they didn't even attempt to do it.

    Expert Bed Bug Exterminators
We had previously had Rose Pest solutions who did a heat treatment, then, when more bugs showed up a few weeks later, they came back and did a partial chemical treatment (under warranty.) Then, we found bugs AGAIN. I wanted a different company; i hoped the setup Tom used would be more effective. His guarantee was twice as long, which gave me confidence. Long story short - he had to come out 3 times (!) and heat treat, but i feel they are truly gone now. I can't stress enough how patient and professional he is. I highly recommend him. I love the heat treatment; no poisons to worry about with kids and pets, and it kills any bugs, eggs, larvae that might be in your clothing or furniture. Did i mention, he treats your cars, too! I can't recommend him highly enough.

    Expert Bed Bug Exterminators
Tom was extremely thorough in explaining to us how to prepare our house for the heat treatment. He encouraged us to text him pictures as we went along so he could confirm we were doing it right. I'll be honest, this was stressful. I had to take a few days off work and my husband and I worked around the clock to make sure we found and removed anything flammable, meltable, in a pressurized can, containing alcohol, etc. You just don't realize how much of that you have in your house until you have to turn things inside out looking for them. Once we had the house prepped, we had to take just a day or two's worth of clothing, heat treated in zip lock bags, and leave our house for the weekend while he pumped hot air in to heat the whole place up to 140-ish degrees. (Oh, and he also heat treated our cars, to ensure that if any hitch hiking bugs were in there, they would be toast too.) When we returned, we mostly found dead bugs. Mostly. But we did find a survivor a few days later, so Tom (good to his guarantee) came back out and did the treatment again. And then a few days after that, we found a live baby. Again, good to his word and guarantee, Tom came out and did the entire house again- this time pumping up the heat to 160 degrees, even hotter than the first time. Since that time, we have not seen a live bed bug. (It's been about 3 weeks.) I'm still paranoid they're around and we still follow a pretty strict protocol when we enter the house when it comes to inspecting clothing, shoes, coats and bags, but since we haven't seen any and no one's been bit, we're hoping this nightmare is over. And having the 6 month guarantee gives us a little peace of mind too. If you're reading this review- I'm sorry you're going through this stress but I hope you'll consider Tom to help you get rid of these lousy little buggers. I know he's a service provider, but he felt more like a partner in getting this taken care of. My husband and I were happy and grateful for the work he did.

    Mid Michigan Animal Control
Called scott on a Thursday to remove critters from house (squirrels). Scheduled a time to come on Tuesday between 9-9:30. I canceled appointment and work, staying home so I could be present. He never showed. I called at least 5 times throughout the week, as did my husband. Finally, almost a week later, he sent me a note of apology saying he had been in an accident. This seems, however, to be a line he has used previously. Honesty and respect are important keys to a business. Though I'm not here to judge, I don't believe this is how customers (and people) should be treated.

    TRAVIS PEST CONTROL
I have used Travis Pest Control in the past. They always do a great job, their rates are reasonable, and they are not trying to talk you into a contract where they come out multiple times each year for insect control.

    Tuff Turf Molebusters
Their price is a little high but they do a good job on mole removal. I find it a little annoying that they automatically renew your programs without really asking you if that's what you want. Yes I'm sure it's in the FinePrint but I don't like how they assume that you're going to renew it on an annual basis.

    Schultz Pest Control
I am very satisfied with all three services that Bill and/or his son, Zach, have performed. They are very professional and knowledgeable about the process and the products they use. Bill is very nice and patient, very easy-going personality, and always willing to answer all of your questions. I have referred him to many of my neighbors and even my parents hired him to install a radon system in their home. His prices are very fair and competitive, and he always sticks to his estimate!
