This buying experience was the pits. I saw a blue 2019 Toyota Avalon for sale on Kool Toyota's website. When I got there the salesman, John McCormack, looked for it but couldn't find it on the lot. Mr. McCormack made some calls and found out that a friend of the owner of the dealership had been driving it and it was not available unless I committed to buying it! I told Mr. McCormack that I could not make that commitment until I had seen this car and taken a test drive. Also, the car had over 4000 miles on it but this car was not listed on Kool Toyota's website as a demo. I think advertising this car on their website was fraudulent and unethical.

They told me it would be two weeks before they could start work on it, as they needed to order parts and finish other projects already underway. I brought it in at the appropriate time, and they got right at it. They said it would take about a week, and it was done right when they said it would be. In addition to doing a great job on the car, the personnel - both the office receptionist, and the estimator, were very personable. It was a pleasure doing business with them.

Top notch service and work on my Volkswagen. They were professional, friendly, and followed through on their promises. In addition to doing a great job fixing the damage, they detailed the entire car and provided a bottle of touch-up paint that matched the color of my vehicle. I would definitely go back (although, I hope I never have to)!

    Gerber Collision and Glass
Took car in on Monday, they said they would email the estimate by Tuesday. On Friday, after not getting any communication, went there. They said they thought the estimate had been sent, and printed off the estimate for me. Said it would be about 3 weeks before they could get to it. (Car was drivable, but without driver side mirror.). When we called after a couple weeks to get a firm date, the date given was another 3 weeks out. Wanted car brought in on Friday, but apparently didn't do anything on it until Monday. Called Monday afternoon to say there was more work to be done than they had previously thought. Car finished following Monday. Turned out the memory seats no longer worked. Brought car back, and later in the day they said they had to order a wiring harness. A week later we called to see if the wiring harness had come in, and nobody seemed to know if it had even been ordered. Car finally fixed about 2 1/2 months after initial contact.

After checking the OBD2 and getting the same results then started checking each cylinder. A mechanic found that the spark plugs I installed, even though the manual calls for the particular Bosch spark plugs that I bought at AutoZone for the Liberty, actually threaded too far into the cylinders and that some of the pistons struck the spark plugs closing the gap. The mechanic installed new, correct length spark plugs and the Jeep ran perfectly since.

I've had 2 less than satisfying experiences with a national chain when my windshield needed replacing so this time I went to Angie's List and looked local. Orion had the best price (I paid cash, high comprehensive deductible) even before an Angie's List coupon and the experience was top notch. The tech was skillful, professional, and timely. A windshield replacement is inevitable. Go with Orion.

    Complete Auto Glass
Pretty good. I had them to the mobile service since I work from home. I was given the 8-12pm time slot. I received a call right around 8am confirming my address, etc. The person who came out to do the work was very nice, professional. Unfortunately he was not told I had a windshield that had the rain sensor so he brought the wrong windshield. This did not effect me as I was working but he did have to run back to the shop to get the right window. I was able to watch him install the new window, which was interesting. He explained what things were and gave me the after care instructions verbally. The new window looks great.

    Auto Centric
Very professional and courteous. Talked me through the whole process and costs, including estimated time and fee for diagnosis to estimated repair costs and completion time. Communicate very well through the whole process by first telling you when they will call to give you the diagnosis and then the completion estimate. And when the work is completed you get a head-up call (or in my case, I chose text) so you can plan your time for pickup. They stick to their fee estimate, as long as what they quoted is what actually is wrong and fixed. I liked the service so much I added on a full LOF and wiper blade change. And a month later I brought in the car to fix the A/C actuator and a broken hood support (pneuamatic), and once again, very professional, prompt and communicative. Will use again for regular car maintenance, and their pricing was reasonable for all the work that needed to be done between both jobs.

It went well, I estimated it would take about 2 hours and they were done in less than an hour and a half. I had already purchased the regulator and glass (Ebay of course) and they did the install. Charged rate was very fair.

Classic bait and switch. Jake offered us one price on a 2016 demo Sequoia ($47,800) on Saturday afternoon, a price which was slightly higher than the online price of $47,777 that had gotten us talking to them. You can see the price history on autolist dot com. We asked a few clarification questions since we planned to buy the car sight unseen from out of state. He said he'd have to wait until Monday to get an answer. He didn't call back Monday morning, so when we reached him in the afternoon, suddenly the price was upped to $48,900. He claimed it had been "dyslexia." Refusing to honor the Saturday price even though the car has been for sale on their website since March (I'm writing this in September). We spent three days trying to negotiate the price of the car back down to the *original* price and they act like they're doing us a favor. Manager refusing to come to the phone. In 30 years of buying cars, never once had such a slimy "used car dealer" experience. #Fraud #Falseadvertising #baitandswitch #nohonor #smarmy #shyster
