Central Bark Dog Grooming and Pet Grooming
Our dog had not been to a groomer in a while and was quite mangy in areas. She has had less than good experiences with a few of the groomers we've used in the past and can cop an attitude when she knows what's about to happen (just scared and uncooperative, not aggressive). Even though the groomer was challenged, she didn't let on and still did a great and thorough job.

My dog had a big scratch underneath on the belly. It looked like the width of the razor that they use, it could not have been from her paw! I picked her up and the girl told me that she had scratched herself. Well when I got her home and examined her it was no scratch from her paw! I was very upset that she lied to me, in the past I liked her and trusted her!

    Star Mutts Pet Grooming
It went wonderful. I tried Star Mutts because I had some issues with a couple of other groomers in the area. From the first phone call where "Misty" the owner and groomer talked with me I had a great feeling. I took "Sherry " in for her 11am appointment. We where greeted by a young girl who I found out was the bather. She was very polite and Sherry took to her right away. Misty then joined in on our conversation saying that she remembered speaking with me she then offered for me to feel free to stick around to help put my mind at ease. I only had to stay for about 15 minutes! A mom just knows :) I was called about two hours later to feel free to pick up my baby she was all ready. WOW I really liked the fact that Sherry did not have to stay at the groomer all day. When I arrived she looked wonderful and smelled awesome. She was so happy never before have I picked her up from a groomer and have her be so happy and playful. In all of my other experiences she has come home pretty upset and it usually took her a good hour or two to get back her normal personality. So Misty and the Girls at Star Mutts are outstanding and they have a customer in Sherry for life.

This is a wonderful place. You leave with a happy, clean dog and Ann cleans up the mess. I have washed my four terriers here 4 times in the past two months and I am always impressed with this facility.

    GOIN' TO THE DOGS
My dogs looked great, they had a positive experience and I consider the price to be very reasonable. We recently moved to the area and Going to the Dogs will be my dog's new groomer and pet food store.

    Pampered Paws Mobile Pet Salon
I informed the receptionist when I called that I needed my cat groomed and that she had medium length fur, that she had a couople of knots on her chest and one large lump of fur on her back leg and that I wanted her washed and santi-shaved on her legs and underbelly.   I explained to them on the phone prior to making the appointment that I had a 17 year old cat.

I was told that the person that would be grooming my cat was experienced and "very good with cats".   Unfortunately that did not turn out to be true.  That they would work with the cat off and on until the grooming was completed.  That if the cat was upset they would let it rest for a while and then start in again.  What they didn't explain was that the cat would be shoved back into her carrying case.  I guess that is my fault, I assumed that the animals would be put into larger cases.  I got the wash and a comb-out, but not much of a shave on the back legs and under-belly.
By the time I picked my cat up after 4PM she was so stressed out that she hissed at me and actually tried to bite me when I when to pet her.  They hadn't even taken off their lead they had put on her, they asked me to do that when I picked her up.  They had shoved her back into the carrying case and she was still wet when I took her out.  Every time I went near her that evening the poor thing thought I was going to shove her back into the carrying.
I would not recommend anyone taking a cat to this location.

    CLASSY CANINES
I've used "Classy" Canines since moving to the Shaw & Maroa area and gave them a chance for 6 months. **NEVER** again!!! I could never get response by phone, (always answering machine), and customer service was extremely poor. I scheduled 30 days prior and asked for 8-9am appt thinking they'd be done by 11-12 which never happened. I usually got a call around 1-2pm but last month: 3:30pm. Dogs are kept in small cages where I didn't see any water and THERE'S NO DOG RUN FOR POTTY!!! My dog was literally locked up for over 6 hrs with no water or potty break. I asked why it took so long and found out all dogs are bathed first at same time then each one is groomed. I won't ever take my dog back to this "puppy prison"!

    CLASSY CANINES
I took my 2 dogs in and aksed for them to be bathed and groomed. I discussed the breed with the groomer, saying exactly what I wanted done. I was told it was no problem and that they'd be done in about 4 hours. I would get a phone call when they were ready. I said if it is going to be longer than 4 hours they would  need a potty break and was told 'no problem'.
I called after 5 hours and got an answering machine, so I drove over to the shop. I was told the dogs were not finished yet but would be done in another hour or so. I asked if they had a potty break. The response was, 'I don't know'. At this point I was beginning to get annoyed. I told them I had somewhere I had to be in 45 minutes and I wouldn't be able to get back to pick the dogs up. I was told they had another dog ahead of mine. I told them I would wait there. Less than 5 minutes later they brought out one of my dogs. The bath and clip looked fine but his face wasn't shaved at all. Since we still had to wait for the other dog, I took him outside to walk  a bit. He quickly found a bush and peed gallons, so obviously he hadn't had a break. By the time we got back to the shop (maybe 3 minutes) my other dog was ready. Her face wasn't shaved either and her tail wasn't combed out much at all. Parts of it were still in dredlocks.
Since by now I was already going to be late for my appointment, I took them both and will have to shave them later myself so they will look nice. Since I picked them up they have been drinking pretty much non-stop, which would seem to indicate to me that they weren't given water during their stay, even though it was a very warm day.
I hesitate to even post this, since they told me it was a particularly busy day. I understand being busy, but if you're so busy you can't complete the job in a timely manner, can't actually finish the work, can't allow a potty break and can't offer the dogs a bowl of water on a hot day, they you're too busy. I was hoping this would work out because they are very close to my home, but I can't leave my dogs that long when there is no provision for them other than a crate. They need to feel comfortable, safe and as calm as possible at the groomer and sadly, I don't think this was the case here.

Central Bark Dog Grooming and Pet Grooming
They are very good and very caring. They really care about your animal. I was very impressed with them. Every time I've never had a problem with them. The staff is very courteous. They call us once they finish grooming her. She really loves going there. At first she was kind of reluctant because of course it was her first time, but now when we go, she seems a little bit more at ease herself. What I like about them too is that they have probably 3 or 4 groomers there. I've gone to other places here in California and they have all these animals in kennel or big cages; they are all barking and I was saying to myself that there is no way I'm taking my little dog over there. They have people, you know customers dropping off and picking up all the time. It is nothing like what I've seen. If you guys give them 5 stars for the best, I give Central Bark 6 because they are that good. The staff is very professional; the people who greet you are courteous and helpful. The first time we went, we told them that this is the first time and they walked us through what they do. In terms of price, it was good as they do a lot of work. I would use them in the future as I have an appointment with Dana, the young lady who has groomed Bella for us, at 10'o' clock on 18th February.

    Roaming Groomer
They came out and parked in the driveway, I asked for my dog to be cut a certain way and length and even showed them a picture. I made sure to ask if they understood the breed of my dog and precautions of shaving the coat too short. When my dog was done, the coat was trimmed way shorter than I asked and this created severe coat loss as a result of them not listening to my request, after 100's of dollars at the vet and skin scrapings we also found a fungus on her skin.... I will never use them again.
