  • I took my daughter to this dentist for her first visit. The staff was nice and polite. but my problem came when a grandmother tried to follow her grandson to the back and was instruted to wait in the waiting room. I got to go to the back with my daughter but it was her first visit. while i was in the back i heard screaming coming from the back and it lasted until they brought the child out from whatever procedure they were doing on him. The mother of that child greeted him in the waiting room, she was not allowed to go back and comfort her child during the procedure. i say procedure because it was not just a cleaning, the child came out with Provider name locked. in his mouth. My next problem came when i was told to read and sign their consent, normally this would not be a problem until i got about half way through it. on the consent you are agreeing that if your child will not listen the dentist will change his Provider name locked. or increase the volume of his voice (yell at your child). if your child is "out-of-control" and screaming and not listening to the dentist, he will put his hand over your childs mouth and will hold it there until your child is done screaming. Then the dentist can physically restrain your child from movement by stabilizing the child's head between the dentists arm and body, or positioning the child firmly in the dental chair. Or the assistant can physically restrain your child by holding down your child's hands or upper body, stabilizing the ead and/or controlling leg movement. Finally they have a "pedo cuddle - this secures and protects the child's body. A strong velcro wrap and cushion help position the child on the dental chair. The child's chest, arms and legs are secured so that he/she cannot be injured by moving..." By signing the consent agreement you are agreeing to let them do any/all of this to your child, while you are out in the waiting Provider name locked. oblivious to what is going on. I'm sorry but under no circumstances is that ok with me. if MY child is being unruly, come get me and let me handle it, or let me sit there so my child will see a friendly face and remain calm. if my child is screaming it is probably because they are scared, let me the parent come back and calm my child down. Then the dentist told me that my daughter was going to need braces (that's fine i knew she was going to need them) by the time she was 10 or 11. When she is 10 or 11 she has not finished getting all of her teeth in or losing all of them, why would you do all that work that will be ruined if/when another tooth comes in or one fall out. this is NOT ACCEPTABLE in my book and my child will NOT be back.

  • It is absolutely wonderful to find a venue to express my deep thanks and appreciation for Dr. Provider name locked. and his staff. Both my daughters were patients of Dr. Provider name locked. even before he moved his practice to the patient friendly new office in North Fresno. My children received excellent care ! He took care of both their physical and emotional needs. In addition he educated them to be responsible for their dental health. The dental report card for children lets them know how they are doing and how to improve the health of their teeth each time they visit. He took care of them from about 4 to 18 years of age! Today they have excellent dental health. In addition this practice has a family approach....Dr. Provider name locked. was never too busy to explain to me and always allowed me to participate and be there for my children...I believe that Dr. Provider name locked. and his staff are the example of excellency in pediatric dentistry. We are extremely lucky to have Dr. Provider name locked. in Fresno. You may also want to know that his prices are more than reasonable and fair. He would always put the health of his patients before the health of his business!
