  • When I arrived at church I checked my cell phone and noticed that Provider name locked. had called me and text me informing me that my bedroom two window activated my alarm.   I then tried to call them back to inform them that it was more than likely a false alarm since that window has always given me grief.  If it does not line up perfect it will show green, but when you try to set it it states number two bedroom open.  Everything set perfect when we left.   When I called them back I had to go through a good 3-5 minutes of automated messaging until I finally got to press a number to speak to some one.  We waited in the parking lot for 10 minutes and finally started on the way home still on hold being told they value my call and to please stay on the line. We were at West and Provider name locked. and we live in the Sunnyside area.  No one answered until we turned off on Provider name locked. and I tried to explain what was probably the problem and questioned them why do they not have a direct line in these cases where there may or may not be a problem.  I wasted 30 minutes trying to speak to a live Rep. which did no good at all.  I phoned the Police and they said the alarm company would have to notify them, which I understand.... so back on automated system again and wait.  My contract expires in two months and will quit them and find someone better.   I would definitely not recommend this company to anyone.

  • Some companies have business practices that while they fall into the category of legal they don't seem to be very customer friendly.  That's how I feel about Provider name locked. after 2.5 years of service.  When I signed up for the service I had just had my apartment broken into and I used the existing security equipment that they had installed.  They were fast and it seemed like a fair contract.  However various aspects weren't explained in detail.  For instance it was never mentioned that the contract I was signing stated I was agreeing to 3 years of service.  I know this wasn't mentioned because I wouldn't have signed as I've never stayed in a rental property that long.  Yes I should have more carefully read the contract.  I am at fault but a company providing great customer service would go over all aspects of contract in detail in my opinion.  When I called to cancel after 2 years nothing was mentioned about the contract being required for 3 years, just a sure we'll cancel.  Then a month later I received a bill for over $1000 for the year of service and the equipment (most of which was already in the apartment when I moved in).  When I called to ask they told me about the 3 years and offered to reinstate the service which they did but weren't receptive to my feedback on the whole thing.  I also recently called about changing my security code.  Because of the system I have it will take a house call which will cost $95 to change it.  Granted they didn't tell me that up front when I called.  Only after I questioned if there would be a charge for that visit was I told yes there would be a charge.  Had I not asked it would not have been mentioned, I would have received a bill a month or two down the road.  Again, it's legal but still not very customer friendly.
