    Valley Rolls & Remnants
The owner Steve is a lovely man, the experience was altogether positive, workers were timely, pleasant and professional. They removed ancient carpet and replaced it with new flooring in three bedrooms in one day.

    Home Improvements
A representative of the firm told us that the work would be completed in about two weeks. It actually took almost four weeks. The person who replaced the shower worked slowly, taking a long time. When he said the work was finished, we could see flaws on the exterior surface. Then he corrected those. He should have seen those problems. Only time will tell whether the work beneath the surface was done successfully. Over all, the quality of work seemed satisfactory. The price for the work was not low, but it was competitive with the estimate by a highly rated company.

    MILLENNIUM TILE & FLOOR COVER
I actually had to go back to the store and complain. I thought that the job was very substandard. They did a terrible job. They finally got done but I actually had to get another person to come out and fix the problems that they created.

    DC Tile
Our experience with DC Tile was absolutely fantastic. The total cost of the project was extremely competitive (in fact, DC Tile's estimate was so affordable that we were able to choose a more luxurious tile than we'd originally been considering). Projected to take a little over a week, the job of installing floor tiles and tile baseboard throughout our entire 1300 sq ft home was completed a day early.
The owner, Donato, runs a truly professional operation. He and his crew arrived when they said they'd arrive each morning. He kept us informed of each day's progress and how the overall job schedule was looking. He was always reachable by phone or text or email and responded quickly. Donato and his men are all genuinely nice, trustworthy people and we were totally comfortable having them in our home. Donato did everything he could to keep us from being as inconvenienced as possible since we had to remain in the house (with a number of dogs) while the work was being done. Not an easy feat when we were in their way all day long and our house was completely furnished -- which meant every piece of furniture had to be shuffled around and at least one bathroom had to remain available at all times.
But most importantly, the tile installation was impeccable -- our floors are gorgeous thanks to the first rate quality work throughout. Donato and his team know what they're doing. We witnessed the whole operation from beginning to end and observed nothing but thoughtful, meticulous work with a very clear concept of the overall project and of what we wanted. Their strong work ethic and genuine desire to please the customer is really apparent. Donato should be very proud of the reputation he's building with DC Tile because it's well-earned and we can't speak highly enough of them. We 100% recommend DC Tile.

Big Bob's New & Used Carpet
Everything went fine with the purchase and installation of the carpet.  It is now 3 years later and the carpet is showing serious signs of wear.  Since this was for an apartment complex I own, I did not get the most expensive carpet, but did expect it to last 5 years or so.
The important information in this review is that Bob's New and Used Carpet is no longer in business.  They have closed and are no longer at the Blackstone Avenue address.  I was referred on the Internet to A&M Carpet on Bullard where I was told that they acquired Bob's a couple of years ago.

    A & M Flooring America

A&M had a great selection of flooring for the bathroom.  They let us take home several different samples, and I am not talking about 6" swatches, but full size samples.  This helped us to make our decision, and it was installed just a few days later.  Installers were on time, cleaned up after themselves, and did a great job.

We would and have recommended A&M to others.

They were Punctual and proffessional. Here it is 8 years later and there has been no issues with the carpet nor Congoleum product nor installation. This was the second time I had them install flooring for me

There were problems with the installation. The installers were not equipped with the purchase order and the tools to properly provide the service. The installers damaged a desk due to improper moving technic. Antonio, our salesperson, has promised to correct the issues with the installation and damage to the desk without hesitation.

    A & M Flooring America
Started off good with visit to store and salesman coming to house with samples to help us choose. After choosing flooring, went into store and signed papers and paid for half of services with the understanding that the balance was due at time the work was completed. Didnt hear from salesman after that regarding setting up a time and date for installation. Called the store number listed on his card and each time was told by store staff that he was not available and would I like to be put through to his voicemail. I left messages on two separate occasions and still did not hear back from him. I finally went into the store and he was there. I told him about the messages left and his response was "you should have called my cell phone number instead cause I can't get into my voicemail." I asked him why the store staff didn't advise me to call his cell phone rather than leave a message and why does he have a voicemail box he can't get into! We went ahead and set up a time to have the laminate installed first with the understanding that the carpet would be done at a later date. The laminate flooring was installed without a hitch accept that the installers demanded payment. I wasn't there at the time but was not expecting to have to pay anything since the work was not completed yet. My husband ended up having to call the store and give them our credit card number. I called the lady in finance the next day and explained that the work was not done and that I wanted to pay the final installment by check and that we would pay once the carpet was installed. She said she didn't know there was more work to be done and said no problem and that no charges would be applied to the credit card. The carpet was installed a few weeks later and there was some question about the color but we got that straightened out. I gave the installers a check for the balance. A week or so later I was reviewing my credit card statement and saw that the store had charged $2,000 dollars on my credit card! Again, I had to go down to the store to find out what was going on.. The salesman was there and seemed to be aware of the charges. If that's the case, why didn't he call me or correct it? I felt that the whole experience could have been handled more professionally and proactively. There appeared to be a breakdown in communication between the salesman, installers and finance. As for the flooring end result and quality, we are happy with it. The contracted installers appeared to do their job professionally.

It went very quickly.  They had the job completed three days after I first went into the store to look at carpet.  Did a nice job and left everything nice and clean when they were finished.
