    It took forever to get them out here. My first call to them was in October. They were booked up and we couldn't get them out until November. That was a call just for the general cleaning and servicing. But by the time they came out for that call, the pilot light was starting to act up. It wasn't holding the flame and it would shut itself off and wasn't staying on. So, they came out and did the cleaning and stuff for that and then they found that they had to order parts for it. This was the real problem. We didn't get it fixed until April. It took that long to get the parts from the east coast. I wouldn't give them high marks pretty much on anything but I know it wasn't entirely their fault. They actually gave me the name of the parts guy to call myself just to confirm that it wasn't on them. I wouldn't rate them well because they were not very communicative in what was causing the delays. Weeks would go by and I would have to keep calling them up and asking, "What's going on? Can you give me an update because we don't have any heat in our house and we're freezing?" So that part of it was a miserable experience. But their technician was really good and really nice. It's a family-owned business and I don't think they had the office staff to really keep following up on things like they should have. For the multiple visits and the parts and everything, we were looking at close to $900. That was kind of majorly expensive. They were the only ones that did that. So, they can pretty much charge what they want.

    I had a fireplace insert that was not working. Energy House came here 3 times in one year and each time they charged me $99.00. They never had to do anything, it was just a service call, and it just kept breaking. I had them come back last week. The guy that fixed it was really nice, but the owner, John, he's the one that's not nice. He knew when he made the appointment that the panel on the electric was not working. He still had his guy come out here, charged me $99.00, they actually made me give a credit card over the phone before they ever came, so they could basically charge me. They guy came and he said, why I am I here? I said, well, I told John that you have all the records from the last 2 times, you were just here 6 weeks ago. I said, why didn't you just bring the part, you guys knew what was going on. He said, yeah, there was no reason for me to come out here. He couldn't fix it, it was $850 dollars.  And then when we called the office and I spoke to John I said, Why are you charging me $99.00 when you can't fix it and you wasted your guys time and my $99.00. He had my credit card information already, and he charged me. I told him that wasn't right, it wasn't fair, and he said, well I have to pay someone for the service call. Well, he should have never come over here, you already knew it was broken, you knew what was wrong with it, you were just here 2 months ago. He just said, too bad. His guy was really embarrassed. 
    If they would have ordered the part, there was no reason for Casey to come a third time. They should have just told me it was going to cost $850 to fix the panel. They had in their records from 2 months before. The service guy knew what was wrong and he said you are going to have to get a new panel. All the owner had to do was see how much the panel was going to cost and tell me. Not have his guy come over, charge me another $99.00 to tell me it was going to cost $850. He could have said that over the phone. 
    I ended up having to pull the insert out and I just have a regular fireplace now because I am just actually renting the house I am in and the owner didn't want to spend the money. I still was the one that was spending all the money.

    Hadn't used my chimney for several years. Owner of Clovis Chimney arrived on time, explained the process he would use and provided information on my type of chimney I had. He showed me best/safest way to light the fireplace, cleaned it and the glass fireplace doors. He was very professional, in fact he even charged me less than he had originally quoted based on work he had to perform, would definitely hire him again.

    When I called to schedule an appt. he was having problems with his computer, but said he could schedule the appt using his cell phone. I called him the day before the appt to confirm but did not get a call back. I called the day of the appt to try to confirm, and his voice mail was full. No call back. Very disappointed.

    Our chimney hadn't been cleaned in over 10 years and they did an excellent job!  I called and scheduled an appointment for the date and time I wanted.  They were right on time and did a great job.  They kept the hearth and fireplace clean as they went.  We will definitely use them again!

    The appointment took about an hour and the tech who is the companies owner was right on time and had all the equipment he needed for the job with him. He explained everything he did and when he got the unit put back together it looked like brand new again. I will be having this maintenance done more frequently in the future as it improves the looks and efficiency of the unit.
