When dispatched by our home warranty company to fix our malfunctioning ice maker it was hard to get ahold of them. They would leave a message and then not answer the phone when we returned the all. Finally we made an appointment and they did show up and were very nice - quickly found that problem and stated they would order the part. That was a Wednesday, we made the follow up appointment for the following Friday for between 1-5 pm. Come that Friday, they never showed. I called at 4:59 to inquire on where-abouts. No one answered so I left a message. They are open on Saturdays but I received no call back. I called again on Monday and left another message. After waiting a few more hours I contacted the home warranty company who agreed to contact them. Still heard noting from them.
On Tuesday I called a few times until someone finally answered the phone and was unapologetic about there lack of reasoning for not showing and not returning my messages. We set an appointment for the next day between 9 and 1pm. On the day of the appointment I finally heard a car door close at 12:20pm. I checked through the peep hole and confirmed that the truck was in front of my house. I put the dogs away and checked again. No one was at the door so I looked out the window to see the man still in his truck with his feet up and on the phone. I waited a couple more minutes and checked again and the truck was gone. 15 minutes later my husband called and said the company was calling him saying that they had knocked on the door for 15 minutes before leaving. Obviously completely untrue. My husband put the three of us on a conference call and I called out his lie. He didn't have an excuse. I asked him to come and fix the freezer right then. He stated that he would call his office and let them know what the situation was. We NEVER heard from them again.
Not only did I schedule two weekdays around the appointments they were supposed come, they didn't show and then lied about the situation. I called our home warranty company and asked that we be switched to a different company as D & S Appliance was no longer welcome at my home. Unbelievably unreliable and rude.

This compnay is terrible they could not fix my Uline under counter double drawer ref. and in the process because the drawer of my cabinet was now hitting the ref they adjusted the door on my new cabinet moving scewers and then a day later the hinge came away from the cabinet and the door was hanging.. Terrible expierence!!!!

I was impressed with Provider name locked. 's professional behavior. He called to say he was on his way, arrived on time, quickly ran the diagnostic test on the machine and identified the problem. He was clearly familiar with the machine. I was particularly happy, because this is not the first time I've had the same problem with the machine and he was much more thorough in explaining the problem and giving me some ideas about what might have contributed to the part breaking. When he finished, he cleaned the area and tested the machine. The company has a couple of warranties on their work, parts and service call.
The only reason I rated them a "B" on cost is that they charge nearly $80 for coming out to make the estimate and that is not deducted from the final cost for labor. When on a budget, that is a lot to pay for the diagnosis of the problem.
Overall, I am extremely pleased with this company and would use them again in a heartbeat!
