Sewer Cleaning reviews in Fort Worth

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • Price was double what we had paid another provider.  Was able to negotiate the price down, but then he convinced us to clean out a second line, so we ended up paying close to the original price - hopefully we got twice the service that was first offered.

  • We had a clogged interior sewer line involving a downstairs sewage sump pump and tie-in to an upstairs main line. The first responder tried his best but was unable to diagnose the cause and scheduled another technician to return to the following day.  Due to past experience at this home with previous owners, Provider name locked. was able to quickly diagnose the problem and clear the drain line.

  • They came out promptly, took the worker two hours to find and dig out the sewer but he said this would only allow him to remove a blockage between the house and the street. The owner asked him to try and unblock it through the outlet from the washing machine. he badly scratched the top of the washing machine while using the auger and splashed black debris on the walls I had painted just two days before .  Then the owner came out, walked in without letting me know he was here. He told the worker that there was a pipe outlet he could use outside the house and so they began trying to dislodge the blockage from there. At no time did the owner discuss cost or what actions he was taking. He instructed the worker to remove the back toilet and replace the flange as he said there was a leak even though there was no evidence of one. (He said he could see it leaking under the house) The front toilet which had leaked when the sewer overflowed and he replaced that too ($450). He then picked up a camera (charged me $250 which I've never had to pay with other plumbers) and found that the blockage was caused by a crack in the sewer line. The following day he dug out the line (under the house) and replaced it and got the necessary permit and inspection ($1,300). There are small cuts around the vinyl at the toilet base which I asked if he could seal to prevent water seeping in when I wash the floor. Instead they caulked around the base.
In summary I feel that if he had used the camera to begin with he could have seen that it was a cracked pipe, $450 is a ridiculous amount to remove a toilet and repair a flange. A camera should be part of the tools used to find the problem not something additional for the home owner to pay. There was a lot of wasted time (it took 6 hours to find the problem).  I looked at a previous bill from another plumber 18 months ago for clearing a sewer blockage and it was under $300 and took less than two hours. These plumbers arrived at 9:00 a.m. and left after 5:00 and charged me approximately $1,500 to clear the pipes. Then an additional day and another $1,300 to actually repair the problem.
