Water Heater Repair And Installation reviews in Fort Lauderdale

    West End Plumbing
I got on Angie's List and clicked some Grade A Plumbing companies to get some estimates on my Water Tank Heater which had ruptured and was leaking. West End Plumbing was the 1st to call me. Adam, who is the owner, immediately set the appointment. I got a call 20 minutes before the plumber, Mike, was coming over and it was right inside the window Adam had told me he'd come. Immediately Mike diagnosed that i needed a new Water Heater Tank, which i agreed, since i saw the water that was leaking was coming from the top sides of the water heater and it was in the house since 1988. They gave me an estimate which i know was not on the low side but they did give me a discount thanks to being an Angie's List member. I explained that I knew the tank cost for the ( Rheem 40g Electric Water Tank) and he explained he gets the tank from Rheem. He handled himself well, and I had to take the day off to get this handled so i settled on the offer. The job was done extremely well and above my expectation so i was happy. West End Plumbing is not the cheapest place, but you will get quality work and great customer service. You get what you pay for! Thanks West End Plumbing!

Its unfortunate that I have to write this review. I contacted this company to have my electric tankless water heater installed. Damien quickly responded and set me up for a weekend appointment with his plumber and also an electrician. It cost $750 for their plumbing services and $450 for the (separate) electric services. Everything went well that morning when it was installed. But later I opened the pamphlet that came with the water heater I purchased and read that the water heater needed to be installed with copper piping instead of the flexible shark bites that the that they used. I contacted Damian to tell him the situation and took another look at the tank and noticed it was now leaking. At first Damien seemed receptive and accepting responsibility for the issue even asking how I would like this to be resolved. He tried to tell me that they were expensive parts, that he would also want copper to be installed, that the way they did it was still to code and that they do it so often they no longer need to read the directions for the product they are installing. A quick Google showed me the expensive parts were $40. I requested that he send someone to my house to do the job properly. He sent the same tech out and that tech tried for about 5 minutes and then tried to tell me it couldnt be done because the copper pipe couldnt fit in the tankless. I am not a plumber so I accepted this response. A week later I called Terrys plumbing after consulting a plumbing forum online (where over 15 plumbers told me the install was wrong after posting images) and a plumber came out and without even seeing the information that came with the tankless knew it was installed incorrectly. He asked where were the compression pieces that came with the tankless, and I had no idea. Those were what would have made the copper pipes fit. He also showed me that the bends in the shark bites were incorrect and that without compression this is a faulty install. This will probably void the warranty I have on the tankless. The plumber from Terrys was able to install this correctly without shark bites using the correct copper pipes without a problem. Plumbers like this are why Angies list exists in the first place. They have absolutely no integrity and dont care if what they have done is incorrect because they are counting on your ignorance on the subject. I am out $750 for an incorrect install. Do yourself a favor and do not take a chance on this company. I fully expect Damian to reply to this review again acting as if he is a victim as he seems to do to with all of his F grades on Angies list. Do not take the bait. Im not a difficult customer and just wanted a correct installation. I am thankful this didnt leak, break, or cause other issues because god knows what kind of response I would have gotten from this company. Buyer beware.

Sent an explicit request for "tankless GAS water heater" in Oakland Park. Was called and told that it is out of their area and could not do the job. I questioned that since we are close by. They called back and said they confused name of the location and it was fine. We made an appointment for a few days later between 10am-12noon. At 1140 received a phone call that they were running late. I stayed home for this and said I would wait. Received another call telling me the cost would be approx $550. All other estimates were at least 3x higher for the labor. I told them they needed to see the job. Was then asked if I had gotten an electrician. I told her I didn't need an electrician, this was a gas heater not electric. She called me back and told me they do not do "gas" installations. My search on Angies List was for a GAS installation, and my initial note to them stated GAS. A big waste of my time. Totally unprofessional. They may be rated well for fixing a leaky sink, but not for anything more, at least from my experience.

This guy is a rip off, has no license, break stuff and do not replace/fix them. He wants to charge you daily even before starting the job. He broke one of the pipes at my house and try to cover it. Luckily after I hired a real plumber he notified and showed me what this so called "plumber' has done. Furthermore, he doesn't clean after himself and leave old parts all over the place, to include the front of the house. Big careful, this guy is NO GOOD!!!

Absolutely superlative, Greg was professional, friendly, courteous, So glad we chose to Use Angie's List for this work. Can't take any credit for that, Janet was the one who researched it and gave me the listing for Sunshine. Called them rather late because the water heater was suddenly plugged up and they fit us into their schedule within a day . If or when we ever need any further plumbing work done, repairs or installation, Sunshine Plumbing of South Florida will be the only one we contact, period. Greg did the work in much less time than i anticipated, cleaned up everything when done, In my opinion. This company is the definition of what customer service should be but so rarely is anymore. I can't recall the last time I had work done on our home that I was this pleased with the job

This was a monumental undertaking. I have a kitchen and full bath on the first floor and two additional bathrooms on the second story. My second story is poured concrete. Six hose bibs at different locations around the perimeter of my home. It was amazing to watch how they found paths to each of the locations. I stayed in my home during the project. They kept two systems going the whole time to keep me with water. This company passed inspection in Davie with flying colors. They know their stuff!!

They could not get a permit in 5 months after contract signing and then Cancelled contract without Cause. This left me without a system and no Tax credit or savings from the system promised. The contract is written to favor them almost on every issue and is small print on the back of the sales agreement. I sent them a certified letter giving them more time to complete the work without a return response.

    Pines Plumbing
What started out as a simple recommendation, turned out to be a rescue and fabulous service. Pines Plumbing was a call that I made to repair a major roof exhaust line decay. Upon receiving their quote and professional recommendations, we decided to have them tackle 5 other projects that our home needed. As it turns out, all 6 plumbing issues were completed in 1 day, and we were so relieved to accept their invoice that was beyond reasonable. Just the coaching, communications and advice for future projects were invaluable to both my wife and myself. We have found our Plumber for life. They couldnt be MORE accommodating and professional. In South Florida this is truly amazing to run into!

Due to the simplicity of the job, my encounter with Wayne was brief. I will say that he arrived on time, was pleasant and professional . The price was fair and I am definitely keeping him as a contact for my go to guy for this type of service.
