  • Before the project, Bill reviews samples of tile, counter-tops, colors, cabinetry, fixtures, etc.  I like to do some of my own research, but also feel comfortable discussing his view of different materials, color combinations and what not.

The project went smoothly and professionally.  The area being remodeled was well isolated by plastic sheets keeping most of the dust created by construction out of the rest of our home.  I dropped by a few times during my lunch just to see the progress and work done.  Bill's been in the business for a while and knows which subcontractors he trusts for plumbing, tile work, drywall and painting, electrical, etc.  I've been impressed with their work, and they are easy to talk to.

Bill's foremen are also easy to talk to and not only will let you know what's happening but are receptive to questions and concerns.  Bill himself is easy to reach (I've used phone, email and texting) and also receptive to questions and concerns.  I've always received quick answers.

Bill's foremen do a good job of quality control, but Bill is also very open to comments and requests based on my own review of the work done.

We still have a couple rooms that are in line for remodeling.  We'll be seeing Bill and his crew next summer!

  • This contractor is very misleading, he will tell you everything you want to hear.  He would take his workers away from our remodeling site to another job and would tell us that he gave them a day off to get some rest because they had been working very hard at our site.  When his workers returned to our site they told us they were ordered to report to another job site.  He committed to finish the job in two weeks and took 5 weeks to "complete".  He installed a couple of lights that he left unfinished, we had to contract someone else to fix his work.  He also raised a wall and it is crooked, he said he would come back to fix it and never came back.  Worst part, he did a complete roof repair which is still under warranty, being that it was done a few months ago.  We had rain over the past 3 days and had significant leaks, we have tried to contact him to send the roofers to repair and he does not answer.
He is very unprofessional and displayed a total lack of experience when doing large remodels.

  • This older home (still) requires a lot of work, but the kitchen was in especially bad shape. Now it looks (and works) great. Provider name locked. was prompt about setting up a visit for an estimate, and the pricing on their proposal was in line with costs I had researched for such a project. Still, I figured that price would increase substantially before it was all said and done, because of the problems that always pop up when working on a 100-year-old home. Provider name locked. (who handles the remodeling side of the business), however, did a fantastic job anticipating what would need to be done and working with me to keep costs down wherever we could.
The work itself turned out great. I had some notions about how I wanted the kitchen to look and operate, but Provider name locked. took our discussions and ran with them. He and his team came up with great solutions for the limited space, and his idea to accentuate the fact that the kitchen had been extended by using a faux brick and wooden beam along the remnants of the old exterior turned an unsightly vestige into the centerpiece of the kitchen -- and now it holds the whole room together. Throughout the job, Provider name locked. really respected the character of the home, worked hard to incorporate my ideas and offered great suggestions along the way. Provider name locked. 's engagement in the project and passion for his work has been extraordinary in my experience with contractors.
The project took a few weeks longer than originally anticipated for reasons outside Provider name locked. 's control, but Provider name locked. and his crew kept me continually updated on the progress and delays and worked hard to make up lost time.
I have several other improvements I'd like to make to the house in the coming years, and I will definitely be calling Provider name locked. to help out.
