    Quick & Careful Moving LLC
    The move went well. There were only a few minor problems. They did not have the tool needed to dissemble my mirrors on the dresser, (2) I had to have a few walls repaired with minor plaster from wall getting scratched (They sent their own repair person, Alex, who does great work). The 2 movers were very professional, friendly and hard working.

    I missed a delivery for furniture, so they picked up from the warehouse and brought it to my house. It was worth it because the earliest reschedule was a week out. Called at 1:30 pm had the furniture at my house by 4:00 pm.

    This side up moving LLC
    It went terrible. Ali, the owner, said he would be there 9:30-10am. His workers didn't show up until 2:30pm. He had sent me a text message earlier in the day saying that they were running behind and should be there by 12pm, but no updates were provided saying that they would be there until 2:30pm. When the 2 young guys finally showed up, I explained that I needed everything moved from upstairs to downstairs. It is the same layout and footprint of apartment. They started complaining about how tired they were, how hungry they were and how much they wanted to finish my job so that they could go home. They finished in 2 hours and complained that they only get paid for the time they work and the extra hour I was going to be charged would go directly to Ali, the owner. The workers were in such a rush to get out of there, I didn't take my time in double-checking where they put everything. Needless to say, they didn't put the furniture and other items where I asked them and didn't catch it until after they had left. Also, I noticed some scratches on my nice dresser and huge mark on the wall in the stairway they had to negotiate to carry it down. I called Ali to express my concerns and he said he appreciated my call and he would look into it and get back to me. He said "I will make it right by you". I haven't heard anything back from the guy. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

    Five Pointe Moving
    In a nutshell: Excellent. I contacted about 10 moving companies a couple weeks before I was going to move to check availability and get quotes or estimates. Terry, the owner, responded very promptly to my email and asked some additional questions so he could get a better idea of what kind of equipment or team I would need for the move. There was no pressure or excessive calling or emails like some other companies I contacted. His quote was reasonable and competitive so I booked with Five Pointe. The day before the move Terry got back in touch to make sure we were sill set, and I let him know I was. The day of the move, the moving team called when they were 30 minutes out and were at the early part of the 2 hour window I had arranged with Terry. From arrival to packing up at the new place, the movers were excellent. They never stopped moving, were careful with my furniture, and very friendly and professional. Eddie and Jake were my moving team and I really can't say enough good things about them. I had moved a lot of the smaller things myself so the only things left to move were the bigger things (couch, bed, dressers, dining room set, etc.). They made moving day stress free for me. I will definitely use them if I ever move again in the future!

    When I got to the storage facility, there were 3 men whom I had not seen in my previous moves. They looked dissheveled and appeared to be under some kind of influence. In addition to me assisting the movers with the move, one took it upon himself to urinate on the side of the moving company. I called the owner about the movers and how I felt uncomfortable as a woman and the owner immediately became irate. When we got to the location of the drop off 15 minutes later the driver stumbled out of the vehcile and said change of plans I needed $300 for my belongings. I told them the agreement was to tip them because it was an emergent move and he was assisting me out of good customer relarions. Well thr owner being on the phone tells them to pull off with my items. They pull off, I call the owner back, he yells all manner of expletives at me, tells me to find someone to "spread my legs" to and come up with the move money plus storage fees. I filed a police report and the owner called me the next day again wanting me now to meet him at a uhaul facility . I forgot to mention this time around, his original truck was not present, it was a uhaul. The owner wanted me to meet him give him money for the retrieval of my items and find someone else to move them. I will be filing suit. I dont want the items back, God knows what those men did to them. God will deal with him.

    I did not have a great experience with this company for a few reasons: 1. When I called to get a quote, I described the details of the move to the best of my ability. I was verbally quoted about 4 hours of work done at $475. ($375 for the first 3 hours, $100 for each hour after that) The move ended up taking 8 hours total. I asked for a confirmation and did not receive one. 2. I was told the movers would show up between 10 and 11. I received a call at 11 saying they were on their way. I received another call around 12 saying they were on their way. They showed up at 12:30. 3. The movers themselves did a fair job handling all the stairs, etc. However, they truck they brought out was too small. They had mentioned to me that they usually have a larger truck but did not have access to it that day for some reason. A lot of time was spent arranging the small truck trying to get everything to fit, but they ended up having to take another trip which added at least an hour onto our move time. The movers also stopped for food a few times along the way as well, which to us was fine, but that shouldn't be counted toward our total. 4. The owner first offered to take a half hour off of our cost because of the tardiness. We asked that he also take off time for the food breaks, which he did. I was exhausted and fed up by that time of the day so we left it at that and paid our bill over the phone. After we paid, I emailed the owner with my concerns about being quoted at almost half of the cost, and the movers needing to make more than one trip. He responded once but did not fully address the concerns that I listed, and I didn't get another response when I tried to follow up a few days later. Long story short, we were quoted about half of what the actual cost was, the movers were late, and we didn't end up moved in completely until about 8:30pm making for a very stressful, long day and very hectic next morning getting to work with all of our stuff still in boxes.

    Big Guy for Hire Moving Labor Services
    Crew showed up about 45 minutes late (Herb, Freeman & Daryl), however, I was advised this may be the case as they had a previous job they were coming from. I only requested 2 guys, yet 3 showed up. I specifically pulled the crew aside prior to starting and emphasized quality over quantity. I wanted the job done right before done fast. I was assured that would be the case with a "Have you seen our reviews?" I assisted with hauling some items, however, left the packing of the truck to the "experts." I hired them for labor and moving expertise. This is directly from their website: "We are happy to listen to your suggestions, but we reserve the final word. We want to make you glad that you hired us." The only damage emptying out the old house was a line down a freshly painted wall (see pictures). The problems began with unloading. Upon arrival to the new house, multiple items were damaged during transport (TV stand, couch, treadmill, toolbox - see pictures) and my screen door for my basement sliding glass door was destroyed. None of this damage was brought to my wife or I attention. We found the damage as we started to put things where they belonged. I'm not sure how they have all the rave reviews. Less than impressed.

    It went really well. They handle everything with care. Nothing was broken. I was pretty pleased. Lloyd was very professional and courteous. I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing to move.

    The day started out on the wrong foot. I received a phone call stating that two workers called in sick and that my move would be delayed. Clearly, this was not my fault. I was the second move for the day. Because the first move required three people, the owner wanted me to take three men and pay the rate for three people instead of two. I refused. It took the men four hours just to move my things out of the house. In total, I paid over $750 for the entire move. It was a complete disappointment and disaster
