  • Provider name locked.
I found this company at a home show at the convention center and thought they would be good fit for the work I needed.  They have years of experience and in fact their motto is “Provider name locked. , it’s all we do!”  and they are really nice people, so I was comfortable entering in to a contract.  Provider name locked. gave me a drawing of the plans and advised me on what had to be done to make the installation pass building code.  It was a lot of work to be sure.  They got it done, with some extra time and difficulties, but done non the less.
There had to be a way out of the basement in case of fire so an egress had to be dug along the foundation and a big hole cut through the cement.  I thought I would like a kind of windoor that opened to the inside but they said the only ones available were crank ones that opened outward into the hole along the foundation.  I looked on line and found a company that makes ones that do open inside either to the right or left, it took about 10 min to find what I wanted.  I thought it odd they knew nothing about this windoor.  Well, they didn’t get the one I wanted, but I have the one that has a crank, much slower to open.
When I moved in to this house, the basement and other parts had some mold which I had removed.  That company had done a ‘flood cut’ which removed two feet of drywall all around the walls.  The plan to Provider name locked. was to cover this gap with a nice wainscot to about 3 or 4 feet.  I did NOT want more dry wall going up incase of another flood as dry wall will wick water up.  I didn’t want to pay for the drywall and then cover it with the wainscot.  But, the dry wall went in so with that done against my wishes, I Provider name locked. ’t have the wainscot that would have made the main room in the basement look better.  I also waned a certain finish on the walls called ‘Knock down’, I like the random designs of this.  I talked to Provider name locked. the manager, we both talked to the painter guy and well, I now have the regular orange peel finish that is so common and again against my wishes.  Seems it’s hard to get folks that can do a job with a variance from what they know.
With all the 'experience' they say they have, I would have thought the process would have been more professional.
They put in a very nice acoustical  ceiling that they had problems with because the basement is not square but it worked well.  It helps deaden any echo sounds.  They moved a Provider name locked. out of the way and put it right back where I wanted it which was nice and I now have a wet bar that matches my kitchen with the same style granite counter and cupboards.
The electrical man was also very nice.  He had to almost rewire the whole thing because of a previous owner had wired it with no regard to the building codes.  It took more expense and time but it got done and I can dim the lights and there are a couple 3 way switches so I can operate the lights from different parts of the basement.  One problem is that in the bedroom, there are two ceiling lights on the one circuit and can’t be operated independently.  The solution was a pull switch on each light to cut it out if need be.
The plumbing company Provider name locked. uses had done the new sink in the wet bar.  They tied the drain in to the main pipe and they actually took out the cleaning access cap when they put the drain in!  I had to complain that this isn’t how it should be done.  They should have know this of course.  They came back to reinstall the drain access.  The other plumbing errors were also fixed and so far no problems.
They forgot to include a cable hook up for the bed room and this wasn't thought of until the walls and ceiling were finished, so, they couldn't put one in.  They just...forget things.  Almost like they've never done it before!
The furnace needed to be turned 180 degrees and the water heater had to be repositioned in the rebuild.  This is no small deal and it added to the cost and time to the schedule.  It seemed to be ok and in fact the furnace heated all winter, but come early spring I tried the air conditioner and the whole thing just quit!  Now it wouldn’t even come on.  I had enough of this company so I went to Angie’s List to find a better heating company, or one with a high rating and called Builders heating.  You can see my report for them on the site.

  • Our home is wonderful. Special attention was paid to all the details. Provider name locked. was meticulous with all the details. The crown molding and trim are all perfect. The project came in under budget and ahead of schedule. I would highly recommend Provider name locked. for any project that you might have, no matter how large or small.
