Radon Testing reviews in Denver

  • I choose Provider name locked. from several highly rated providers based on my phone conversations with Provider name locked. and the proximity of the company to my home. I used an off the shelf radon test and found the levels in my basement were above 20 pCi/L, well above the recommended maximum level of 4 pCi/L.  I talked with Provider name locked.  and asked him to perform a test to verify my results, but he recommended that I put that money towards mitigation because the off the shelf tests are fairly accurate and my test results were similar to those he had seen in other homes in the neighborhood.
After installing the fan to maintain a vacuum below the basement floor slab he retested the radon level and it was below 2 pCi/L. Provider name locked. was great to deal with and was very conscientious about the way his work looked. I appreciate his honesty and saving me money by recommending that I not have him retest the redon levels before installing the mitigation system.

  • The technician was thorough in his explanation of how to use the radon test kit.  The company was good on following up to make sure I had sent the kit in for analyzing radon levels.  The tech was also thorough in checking out the house for where to establish a radon mitigation system.  I thought it was premature to do that, like he was assuming that I would need to have such a system.  I was very concerned about the potential cost. As it turned out, my radon levels were below those that required a mitigation system.

  • My 87year-old parents sold a home recently that belonged to my sister who died in an accident. The home was willed to them, but due to their age, I managed the sale process for them. I am their eldest son.
During the buyer inspection phase it was discovered that the house's radon fan did not work and the levels of radon in the basement were over the acceptable limit. I decided to remove the fan myself and purchase a new one locally. I called around and the "radon specialists" in the  area REQUIRED that I buy a new fan through them and it was mandatory that they install it. The pricing of these other contractors was outrageous and I decided buy a fan from Home Depot, put it in myself to quickly facilitate the final sale.
Yeah ... things aren't so fast sometimes.
I ran into problems right away. Home Depot, Lowes, Amazon ... you name it ... all needed 7 days to ship in a new radon fan. And, I really wasn't sure that the fan was defective in the first place. My testing indicated that it might be electrical.
When I contacted Provider name locked. , Provider name locked. and Provider name locked. were AWESOME.
Provider name locked. patiently walked me through all of the potential "gotchas" as to why these moody fans fail. Provider name locked. patiently took 4 additional calls and I STILL couldn't fix it. When I called back the 5th time, I told Provider name locked. I was "done" and asked her how soon I could get someone out. Provider name locked. , the owner, was dispatched to arrive early the next day.
Provider name locked. and his Assistant arrived on time and proceeded to put in a new fan. When they were finished, I went to turn the power on and - wouldn't you know it - the new fan didn't work either. Immediately Provider name locked. and his Assistant began troubleshooting and before long it was determined that the problem was indeed electrical. Provider name locked. suggested some alternative wiring scenarios and I decided on the quickest and cheapest. After about an hour they had a new conduit and switch run to the fan location. It was then that Provider name locked. suggested trying the old fan to see if it worked, and, sure enough the fan fired right up. Instead of spending $500, Provider name locked. saved us $250 by suggesting we keep the old fan since it worked fine. We really appreciated their high-integrity and can-do professionalism.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company. We would not have closed escrow on the sale of my sister's property without their prompt actions. The house passed the new radon test -- which Provider name locked. provided for $40 including a final report within 24 hours. The house closed escrow on-time and without a hitch. Thanks Very Much, Provider name locked. and Provider name locked. of Provider name locked. !!
