As per Better Business Bureau Report filed on Aug 16, 2010: Vendor was consistently late and unresponsive to REPEATED phone calls. Throughout this re-landscaping project, Provider name locked. showed an extraordinary lack of professionalism: not meeting schedule time-and-time again - yet promising, doing half the work - and then vanishing for days. His behavior caused repeated planning inconvenience to the homeowner and contractor, placed the security of the house in jeopardy, and made a two week project a two month-long ordeal. He was paid an advance (half) for materials and then the same amount for labor when the fence was installed. Small additionals were to be paid at the conclusion of the job; Provider name locked. never finished the job. The fence DID finally get up, the locking gate finally hung, the vintage door finally restored and hung, and the locks finally installed. However, Provider name locked. did NOT return the doorknob to the original 1925 house door; he stopped returning the contractor's - and then the customer's - phone calls. He forced the contractor to finish the work, thereby leaving the project substandard. He never responded to the BBB. NOTE: Very large language Provider name locked. in dealing with this vendor.- Monica G.
The job went very well. Mr. Provider name locked. (Provider name locked. ) was very easy to work with, and did a great job. We made an appointment with Provider name locked. to discuss the job. He offered several suggestions related to the job, and provided us with very rough estimate on the spot. He gave us a final estimate within a couple days. He started work as planned, and discussed any issues that came up with us as work progressed. He and his helpers were very respectful of our house -- covering floors, rugs, and doorways to limit dust and tracking through the rest of the house. The Provider name locked. and cabinets were moved first. This included some electric work, and carpentry to modify a cabinet section. Next, measurements were done for the new granite counter tops (it would take about 2 weeks to get the counters). Work proceeded on the molding and making the doorway. When the counters were ready, the installers arrived too late in the day to complete the job, so Provider name locked. had them come back the next day. Also, there was a problem with one of the counter sections -- Provider name locked. wanted the problem corrected and we concurred. This caused a couple day delay in completing the counters, but it ended up being done correctly, so we were happy. When the doorway was completed, painting and staining was done. When everything was done, Provider name locked. brought in a cleaning lady, which was nice, since even with the doorways covered (and Provider name locked. 's helper cleaning every day before leaving), dust managed to spread over most of the first floor of our house. The new shelf for above the Provider name locked. had to be fabricated, and was installed about 3 weeks after the rest of the job was completed.- PEG W.
