  • Although I got several referrals from Angies List, Mr. Dolan at Flury Hendirks was only one to follow through. He has been exceptionally responsive, even though I was initially overseas, and got insurance set up for a new car within minutes of the request, while we were at the dealer's. And got us the insurance at a fair price.

  • Hoeltgen's agency did numerous things wrong and failed to respond to our calls and emails to correct them. After switching agents we learned Hoeltgen's agency had made even more mistakes than we realized, and we had to pay for them. Hoeltgen's agency added supplemental coverage that was only needed for a condo, despite buying the insurance for a stand alone house. They failed to insure special coverage items that had previously been covered on our policy, it took months of calling to get that corrected. They added additional supplemental coverage to our premium for coverage of outside structures, such as a shed, and we do not have any structures that would have been covered by this additional coverage (at additional cost to us). The policy came with some coverage, but we obviously did not need more of it for structures we do not have. Allstate should have known this was wrong as they sent out a rep to value our property.In valuing our property they put down the wrong size garage, 2 car vs 3 car, as well as built in vs attached. They got the wrong number of stories of the house, and the type of basement (crawl space vs walk out). They got the wrong square footage for the house. They got the roof type wrong. When I called to discuss, they tried to sell me additional coverage for roof damage and wanted to know how old the roof was. They could A) have looked this up in their system, and B) looked to see if there were any insurance claims, and C) realized that was not a coverage we needed, but Hoeltgen's agency still tried to sell it to us. In fact, while we were trying to get all these issues addressed, Hoeltgen's staff was trying to sell us more insurance despite all the issues.We contacted Hoeltgen himself repeatedly via phone and email. He never responded. I have been told by other agents that we could file serious complaints with the insurance commissioner and that some of the other policies Hoeltgen's agency sold us for our car were flat out illegal.

  • My 91 year old father had condo insurance through Brown & Brown for AT LEAST six years and paid the premiums once a year in July;  the last payment being July 2013.  He moved to an assisted living facility in August of 2013 and notifying the agency of his change of address was overlooked by his daughters.  When the bills and notifications for his 2014 policy  renewal were mailed, they were not forwarded by the US Postal service to his new address because forwarding had expired.  They could have been forwarded if Travelers Insurance or Brown & Brown had sent the letters certified or paid attention to  the returned mail label.
    Instead we did not learn of the policy lapse until he put the condo on the market.  On Thursday Sept 10, I called the local number for Brown & Brown to see if we could get the policy reinstated.  I was immediately transferred by the receptionist to Travelers 800# where the agent said there was nothing that could be done by Travelers since the policy lapsed 13 months ago.  He suggested I call Brown & Brown about writing a new policy.
    On Friday, I called Brown & Brown and was transferred by the receptionist to an agent who explained that the receptionist made a mistake and I needed to talk to a different agent; Lisa Darling. I was thus transferred to the voicemail of Lisa Darling where I left an extensive message.  I called again on Monday and left a message.  On Wednesday morning I received a call from Lisa Darling but the call dropped mid conversation.  I attempted three times to call her back but got an automated message; dial one for xxx, dial two for a directory by name, etc.  I was unable to get through to anybody.  On the fourth try, I was able to leave a message for Lisa Darling.  On Thursday I left another message.  Today, Friday, I called and the receptionist transferred me to Lisa Darling.  She did not recognize my name.  After I explained the situation, she said she could not do anything because the condo is on the market and suggested I try a different way to get liability coverage - which is not possible because my father does not own additional property.   ARGGG!
    My father was a long time policy holder and Brown & Brown dropped  the ball.  A really good agent would have located his/her client BEFORE the policy lapsed.  A halfway decent agent would not make a client call repeatedly  for seven days before being told "no."   Brown & Brown, read your returned mail and get a new telephone system - and probably a new receptionist.

  • Matthew is extremely responsive and if he doesn't have the answer he will get you to the right person. My compliment is to the service, which has been terrific; they stepped up in an emergency. American Family was very thorough with the claim for the water damage; America General has been terrific in general

  • Karen gave me options for home insurance and bundled in my auto insurance. I picked a reputable, well known company for my provider and truly decreased my premiums by 50%. I did have one of those companies that always advertise on tv so I think my premiums were paying for their advertising! A 50% reduction is incredible and I feel good about the new company. Anyway, Karen got everything written up and worked with my mortgage company as I refinanced. She was so helpful in every way and got things done. I recommend this company and Karen.

  • This guy is great, he came out to my house, went through my insurance, detailed it out to how I could understand it.  Car insurance, everything.  He was like this is what this means, this is what this means. He took some time.  When I actually got in a car accident, another guy hit me, which he shouldn't of have to bother with because it was the other guy's fault, he made sure that the other insurance company got all their stuff done and expedited the whole thing.  The other company call me within a day and I had my car fixed in two weeks.  When I had all the house damage it was denied by State Farm because it was Natural disaster, but he called roofers for me, he called drywall people for me, he actually called the roofer that did my original roof and screwed up and he said you need to take care of her.  Above and beyond.  If I send a text message he will get back to me.  He is amazing.  He is punctual, thorough, honest.  My insurance is more expensive than I could have gotten from other people but I still go with him.

  • This agent who I used for over 6 years didn't return my phone calls - repeatedly. I am not a high-maintenance client, but figure to get a call back from an insurance agent within 24 hours, or at least a message with an explanation for delay of returned call.  This agent in recent years took 72 hours to never to return my phone calls.  I complained to the district manager two years ago, but the problem didn't get solved.  I've since found another agent.

  • We didn't discover my father's insurance situation until we needed to file a claim for roof damage.  Mr. Jeski didn't return phone calls and was generally unavailable.  Since Mr. Jeski doesn't answer his phone or return calls, it proved to be extremely difficult to cancel my father's policy. 
    I will not do business with Mr. Jeski or Farmer's Insurance in the future.

  • I have had insurance with this provider for a few years now. The costs keep rising as with other insurances. I have found that they are
    responsive when I have questions. Insurance company gave me information as to my provider that they were covered on the plan. They were not able to tell me exactly what the costs to me would be but a general idea on coverages. I am waiting to see the full bill. The bills thus far have been relatively easy to understand.

  • Despite the overwhelming amount of calls with the recent floods in northern Colorado, they were there to take my claim, send an adjuster out, and determine the amount of the payout. They are always prompt, efficient, and above all professional. Furthermore, the value of their services is incomparable. I love being able to watch all the other insurance ads on TV without wondering whether or not the other companies offer better deal than my USAA ? they just don't.
