Home Inspection reviews in Denver

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • First, I will say that doing inspections is tough, as its easy to get blamed for things that have been missed.  We purchase a home about every year for either investment or personal reasons and have quite a bit of experience in construction.  For this deal, we decided to pay a little more for hopefully better quality, but I'm not sure we got that.  I'll explain.
While the typical nit-pick list was generated, some pretty big and obvious things were missed.
    These include:
       * Large holes in the roof flashing around HVAC coming into the house.  We had a roofer come out to repair and he clearly showed us the holes in the flashing.  There were actual holes in the flashing that were quite visible once we had a real roof inspection done.
       * Boiler valves are leaking water constantly causing heat to run non-stop in some zones and will not run in other zones.  This was very obvious once we were in the house.  It shows that some zones were simply not tested.  I understand boilers are more complicated, but I was able to figure out pretty quick there was a problem here.
       * Dry rot on our deck, leading to a full replacement of the deck.  I know there were problems of this in the neighborhood and even mentioned it, but it was missed.  I found it simply walking down the stair and a visual inspection with my finger.
So again, inspection is a tough gig and its easy to blamed for Provider name locked. things, but that's kinda the business you decide to go in and these feel like things that should have been noticed.

  • We had our new home inspected by Provider name locked. with Provider name locked. Inspections. He is very professional, punctual and knowledgeable.  He arrived early and immediately started taking photos of the outside, before we arrived.  It was a chilly morning, so we went inside and met with our home builder superintendent to do our walk thru, while Provider name locked. inspected the outside.  Once he was finished, he walked us through the outside, inside and basement and explained how things work, provided advice on how to maintain items, and offered recommendations (like getting water sensors!)  His inspection was very thorough and although he told us if he didn’t find much, we wouldn’t have to pay for a formal report, we decided to have the report completed.  The report was very detailed and included many pictures of what he found.  We highly recommend Provider name locked. and will use him again, most likely before our 1 year warranty is up.

  • She was prompt, professional, friendly, highly knowledgeable and thorough. She was patient in answering my many questions. (As a first-time buyer, I had a lot of questions and there was a lot of terminology with which I was unfamiliar.) She was 100% committed to my comprehension of everything we discussed. (Sort of like a great teacher.) She made sure I understood all of her observations of things in the house and what they would mean to me as the owner. She recommended I have the sewer lines scoped and gave me a notebook which basically educated me about every part of my house.
In addition to being highly conscientious, honest, and intelligent, she's also very personable.
She was available to answer questions by phone after the inspection. She put me in contact with experts in various areas of structure and maintenance of a home. I trust her absolutely and recommend her without hesitation. When I talked to some other people about how thorough she was and all the things she noticed (versus the inspectors they had used), they said they would use her in the future. Smart choice!
