I contacted "Sooner", on Monday Morning, 2-25-19. No call back. I pursued Xcel "Home Serve" on Tuesday, 2-26, via Angie's List. I completed a "work order", on line. No call back. I called "Home Smart" on Wednesday, 2-27. A work order was sent to "Sooner" @ 1:15p.m. I did not receive a call. "Sooner" is apparently the only company that works in my Zip code area, per "Home Serve". Sooner" did not comply to any of the elements described in the "Business Description". In conclusion, the two resources I found on Angie's list, failed miserably. I won't be renewing my subscription.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. So surprised this company was "screened and approved" by Angie's List / Home Advisor. Rick was very unprofessional and ineffective. Not only did he fail to fix my refrigerator, but it was in worse shape after his repair. He spent most of the time telling me all about the terrible qualities of my relatively new, French door style refrigerator and why its so hard to fix. He was advising me on what type of refrigerator I should buy next: the oldest, simplest kind I can find, preferably used. Is that because its the only kind he knows how to fix?!? Im not even in the market for a new refrigerator although I might be, now that he tried to fix this one. I should have stopped him after he asked me how to turn the refrigerator off. He admitted that he doesnt know how to fix refrigerators with computers. He also confessed that he had to watch a bunch of youtube videos to figure out how fix the more modern models. When he was having trouble removing the back panel, he asked me to do it so that if it broke, it wouldnt be his fault. I said I wasnt comfortable doing that because I was not the expert. He said hed do it as long as I dont b-i-t-c-h (his words, not mine) if it breaks and make him pay for it out of his own pocket. He didnt have the right tools for the job. I had to lend him my hair dryer and extension cord so that he could melt the ice buildup. He ended up breaking the panel anyways and also broke the foam insulation behind the panel into a hundred little pieces. He didnt offer to replace it. I didnt press the issue because he assured me it wouldnt affect the operation of the refrigerator. Looking at the giant crack drives me nuts though. Not only was my refrigerator STILL not cooling 24 hours after his repair but now there is a loud humming noise that was never there before. It was doing that right after he finished working and he wasnt sure what it was and I kid you not he said sometimes you just have to bang the appliance to get the noises to stop. The humming started again about 20 minutes after he left. He was trying to get me to sympathize with him on the fact that hes going out of business. He said its because he doesnt charge enough. Pretty sure it has more to do with the fact that he is incompetent, hasnt kept up with technology and has now become obsolete. I ended up having to hire another repairman directly through GE to actually fix the refrigerator.

Gentleman called and set up a time to come and look at the dryer, he was hours late. When he arrived he did not look like a repair man, he did take the dryer apart and find the problem. However he did not have the part, I had to go and find the replacement part the next day. The next day he sent a text asking if I found the part and when could come back i said around 330 he said great. We had text message through the afternoon, stating he would be there no problem. Hours went by and he never showed up at around 7pm I finally told him forget Ill find someone eles.

Eco Appliance Repair came out to repair our microwave / oven, which involved removing the unit from the wall. After the repair, we noticed that the handles on both the microwave and the oven were loose. I called to have a technician tighten them, and was told "********. There's no way that happened." They wanted $100+ to come out again and clean up their mess.

Anthony was very nice and on time. He was able to tell me what was needed to be replaced which I knew but he quoted the part at $115 and labor $170 making it $285. All that was needed was to remove one screw take the wash plate off and replace with new and screw in the new plate. I found the part I need on Amazon for $30 and will replace it myself.

The good: The person on the phone was helpful in scheduling an appointment. The technician came during the window that was promised. They were able to find the issue with my dryer (lint caught in the motor). This cost me $113. The bad: I found Quality U Expect via NextDoor and checked their ratings on Angie's List / Yelp. People mostly had good things to say, so I went ahead and hired them. These guys are booked pretty far out (I had to wait about a week for someone to come out.) I'm ok with the wait time, because I'd rather have someone who can get the job done well. However -- I had a technician take a look at my washer, which was not draining during the spin cycle. After taking a look at the machine, the technician quoted me $390 to fix and replace several parts in the washer. I asked for a breakdown of the parts and labor to understand why the price was so high. For $390, I could buy a replacement washer! They pushed back saying that the system doesn't break it down that way. When I inquired further about the pricing, they said that the technician actually forgot to list one of the parts required, so my total should have been higher, but they were "honoring our original price, our mistake is your gain." When I asked for the Yelp discount, they responded that the price quoted already included a 25% off discount (which nobody had told me I received.) I felt that the lack of price transparency was a little sketchy, so I had another technician from a different company come out despite having to pay another trip charge. On his trip, we discovered that the problem was actually not with the washer at all, but instead due to a clog in the washing machine drain, which was forcing the water back into the machine. I honestly wouldn't have doubted the first technician's assessment if the person responding by email hadn't been strangely unprofessional and pushy about the pricing. In the end, I'm glad they were because I avoided paying $390 for a washer that wasn't broken.

Skip is awesome. My unit would have been repaired IF LG sent the right part. Skip did everything he could do except stand on his head and spit out quarters to get LG to respond to My recalled unit. After 6 months LG still has their head in the sand. Skip is still trying to help us get our issue with Lg resolved. I would recommend Skip to all who are in need of ANY appliance repair. Dave Coffelt

It was a little shaky with the first 2 techs, but James came and worked on it a couple of days later. He was worth waiting for. Really professional and took care of the problem. If I need to call them again, I will only accept James.

L&G was very responsive when I called & was able to set an appointment for the next morning. Luke was able to diagnose and repair the problem quickly and efficiently. Communication on what was being done and the cost was clear and left me with no concerns or questions.

Replaced defrost cycle parts, and main motherboard. The mother board required a separate trip because the repair tech did not have a replacement board with him. Service was professional and courteous. They kept us informed and and followed up as they promised.
