"I sent a message through the Angies List system on 1/7/13 and got a reply from the provider that he would call me the next morning. It it now 3 days later and he never called.

"they replaced the heater element assembly
I have a stackable dryer and the heating element had to be ordered. they said it may take a week but they scheduled the install after a couple days. dryer works well happy with their service. the technician was friendly and did the job correctly.

"Great. Quick, professional, finished.
Dishwasher took 2 trips to fix, but entirely reasonable as the other option would have required buying a rather expensive part that in the end did not need to be replaced.

"on the first visit, which was scheduled quickly and easily, the owner came over on time and assessed mt fridge. He said it needed a new part that was clogged or frozen, and to save me some money he would need me to defrost the fridge for a few days prior to him coming over. He said it would take 1-2 weeks to get the parts then he would schedule me with time to defrost the fridge. He seemed disorganized so I offered him some advice regarding service company software, so he said he would only charge me the trip charge ($89 plus the $25 I paid for the coupon) and he would take care of parts and labor for helping him so much.
4 weeks went by before I finally had to call and schedule the return appointment. I had to turn off my fridge for 4 days to defrost it, and when the crew came back they took apart the fridge, put it back together, and said they didn't have to do anything or replace the part because it was fine. They didn't charge me anything additional as promised. They also forgot to order the broken door bin, which they still have not contacted us about. We finally bought one ourselves as it only takes 4-5 days to get it shipped, so not sure what their holdup is.
The fridge still leaks and nothing has been done, so basically this guy ripped me off for $105 because he did absolutely nothing and I still have a leaking fridge and had to replace the bin myself anyway.

"The person on the phone was friendly and easy to get a hold of. He scheduled an appointment for the very next evening and gave suggestions about how to keep food cool in the meantime. Once he came out he was friendly and professional, diagnosed problem within about 15 min and had part on truck. He gave me a discount for being an Angie's List customer and stuck to the original amount quoted. He cleaned up after himself and then gave me some education about the fridge settings which was really nice. I was hugely impressed and would definitely use the service again!

"The company repaired our refrigerator promptly and well, at a reasonable and expected price (within estimates), and we have not had any problems with the appliance since.
Some weeks later, however, we discovered large scratches and gouges in the hardwood floor in front of our refrigerator. The damage was not obvious immediately, because it is visible only in a certain light, and we initially chalked it up to, "those things happen in life." However, when we asked for an estimate regarding a repair of the damage, the flooring company suggested that we contacted L&G, noting that most companies are insured to cover such damage sustained during or related to their work.
I called L&G and the owner,
Denver Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
, called me back and told me to contact my private home owner's insurance carrier, since we were calling so late after the company's visit. Because of the delay in our reporting the damage, he disputed our assertion that the damage was related to his company's visit. Essentially,
Denver Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
called into question my integrity, basically saying that the it was "suspicious" that it took so long for me to call about the damage. I attempted to explain the reasons why, as noted above, but he remained unmoved. He also asserted that the damage could not have been caused by moving our refrigerator, since "that refrigerator model has rollers on it, so moving it would not scratch the floor." It's obvious, however, that the scratches and gouges go directly to the supports of the refrigerator. He also pointed out that the technician who serviced our refrigerator had "never had a claim in 17 years," and noted that the technician in our home was very thorough and would have noted any damage on his repair ticket. He implied that we were at fault and that we had scratched the floor, but we have never moved the refrigerator out that far in all the years we've owned it and it has not been moved at all since L&G was in the house. Furthermore, if the technician were that thorough, I would suppose that he would have noted on his ticket any pre-existing damage in front of the refrigerator for his own protection and he did not.
So we're left having to make a claim through our home owner's insurance, though perhaps our company and his will get to fight it out.
I'm sorry to have to write this review, but had
Denver Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
simply asked me to call my insurance company and politely explained that he could not help me, or if he had offered to inspect the damage personally instead of drawing conclusions and casting doubt on my honesty, I would understand. As I said above, it didn't even occur to us to hold his company responsible or even to ask for their assistance until another contractor pointed out that it might be reasonable and even expected in the industry. As it is,
Denver Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
took the occasion to go on the offensive from the beginning of our conversation, treating me as a threat rather than as a customer. I found it disappointing and surprising that the owner of a family business would not approach this problem with more aplomb and grace.

disagnosed and priced the repair quickly. He had the part on the truck and did a good job cleaning the inside of the unit and installing the new heating element. Not the cheapest, but service and great work are worth it.

"L&G was efficient and affordable. Unfortunately my washer was beyond repair (broken transmission), their employee did well to

out my options for me and recommending that I not repair it as paying for the transmission repair would be too expensive. Even though nothing was fixed, I was pleased with the service.

"See above for background.
Denver Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
left my home saying he would do a bit of research to try and come up with a solution to my oven problem because the testing was inconclusive and parts were "no longer available'. Well, I received an email from
Denver Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
giving me a proposed solution, which was as easy as pushing the selection buttons in a correct sequence. He had found the solution on another website, fixya.com, and suggested I try it. So far, it looks like it's working !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Denver Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
also gave me a low cost suggestion I could pursue myself on a worn panel on my dishwasher. What an incredibly knowledgeable, honest, helpful person!!!! I would hire
Denver Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
for any appliance needs of mine that come up in the future. It was clear he knows electronics, how to test the appliances, etc... and mentioned he has 30 years experience. He's very low key and matter of fact in sharing information and his background. Also, the reason the $ is not filled in is because I still have to pay him. He deferred the charges while he figured out what would be possible in terms of my oven. Normally, I believe there's a visit charge and then an hourly rate (plus whatever parts cost etc..) which I found to be in the neighborhood of other repairman's rates/charges -- ask so you get the specifics. I received

name from someone who was an Angie's list member, and I was so happy with

service that I joined Angie's list to write this review.
