"Very good experience. My vet of about 25 years retired, so I had to find a new vet. I had put it off, but was not doing well - I called and" got in that afternoon. They had time to do my other kit's annual checkup as well, so I took in both cats. Dr. and (vet tech) were very caring and thorough. The doc explained the tests she thought would help with 's diagnosis, and was careful to tell me how much each cost before proceeding. The in-house lab facilities saved me a lot of money - my last annual visit for two cats, with just an exam and rabies shots, was over $450. When I've had to have blood work done, it was always around $200 for just that because my other vet had to send it to a lab. So this was a nice change. I did have to wait a half-hour or so past the appointment time, but they put us in the exam room and gave me a bottle of water (plus they have wi-fi), so the wait wasn't a big deal. And Dr. wasn't in a rush when she got to us, so I have no complaints. Another nice thing about the in-house lab is that the results were ready before I left, so no worries. All the staff was welcoming and professional - I'm very happy with Dr. as my new vet. Highly recommended. Update: had a quick decline shortly after this visit. I talked to Dr. on the phone and then went to see her - Dr. wasn't available. She did an x- and he was in bad shape, she sent us home with pain meds so we could have a weekend. (Dr. was wonderfully kind and loving as she gave me the news, and she explained exactly what was wrong and treatment would be expensive and not a long term help.) Unfortunately, the meds had no effect, so I had to take him in to be euthanized. Dr. is the vet who performed the procedure. I know this is not a great outcome, but wanted to add it because all three EDVC vets I saw were responsive and compassionate. My only suggestion is that euthanasia be moved to a quieter room, if possible. We were right next to the waiting room with barking dogs and lots of activity. was too sick to care, but I would've preferred a quieter place. Since we did not plan this, though, the usual place might've been in use. I spent about $600 from exam through cremation, including vet exams, blood work, x- , and several kinds of shots. It's a lot of money, but a great deal less than I would've paid at my previous vet.

"I arrived with our puppy five minutes before the scheduled 10:00am appointment time. There were about 8 other people with pets waiting to be seen. Over the course" of the next 50 minutes, people and pets began to cycle in and out. Some of the dogs were extremely noisy -- obviously not the vet's fault -- but this was compounded by a large assortment of loud birds and small caged animals that are apparently housed in the waiting area. All of this made for a rather scary experience for our 8-week old pup, but he was a trooper and stayed well-behaved. After 10:50 came and went, another pet owner in the waiting room asked when our appointment time had been. Apparently hers had been for 10:15. I decided to give our puppy a break and informed the front desk that we would need to reschedule, and left. The front desk apologized but made no attempts to explain the long delay. They have not contacted us to either apologize or reschedule, and we found a different vet for our pup and four cats.

  • The experience was great. Dr Provider name locked. walked me through all of the options for my dog's bloodwork, medication, and possible surgery. She broke down the services by line item/cost, and was very matter of fact about what she considered a basic service/necessity vs. what could be skipped if my budget was tight.
