Dr Provider name locked. has a great manner and he is very honest. He seemed very sincere and I have been very pleased. I went to him for a second opinion to make sure that I needed surgery. He told me what he thought and he told me that I shouldn't have surgery. He thought that I should take a more conservative approach. Surgery was scheduled for 11:30am on Thursday, but the day before they called to do my pre-registration over the phone and remind me no food, drink or medications after midnight and see if I knew my arrival and procedure time. I told them, yes, arrive at 10:00 and procedure's at 11:30. I was informed it had been rescheduled for 9:30am and I need to be there between 7 and 7:30. I immediately texted my husband, called my mom and also notified my office. We got to the hospital (a physician-owned facility, mind you) a little before 7:30, completed my check-in paperwork and went to the waiting room. They called me back at 8:38am, completely prepped me, IV and all. Then they gave me a couple of pills to keep me from getting nauseated and had me take my contacts out. I started getting sleepy from the medication they gave me, which was a huge relief since I couldn't take any of my pain medication. I slept for a while, waking up on-and-off. I finally ask my husband what time it is, and by this time it's 10:30. I'm half asleep, groggy and grumpy. I'm in so much pain, I'm dying of thirst, I'm hungry and need to go to the ladies room. He went to ask. I hear the nurse say I'm not even scheduled for another hour, plus they're running behind so It'll be another two and a half hours. I shot up, almost pulled my IV out and went to explain to them that it was rescheduled for 9:15 and I had to be in by 7:30. Not once, the entire time I was there, did anyone say I was early or ask me why I came in so early. They immediately started saying it wasn't true, covering their tails without checking their records first. No "sorry for the confusion," just "you're a liar." We went back and forth, me saying I couldn't take another 2.5 hrs of the pain without using the restroom or anything to drink or eat. I've never been so uncomfortable. They were antagonistic, saying I couldn't get up and move at all, didn't offer a bedpan, or any relief for my discomfort. One nurse came and threatened to send me home if I didn't calm down because of my blood pressure. I said I wanted to talk to someone so a nurse brought me the doctors phone number. I couldn't see because they made me remove my contacts and when I took the number she accused me of grabbing it from her. I couldn't reach anyone, and by this time I'm crying and hysterical. We asked if I could just get up and go outside to smoke and calm down. The Dr. told them to discharge me if it was such a problem. I told my husband if I couldn't use the restroom or get any relief I did. While back there I called them incompetent to my husband and complained about the error and the way they treated me. Because of that they were quick to Provider name locked. me out and get an Administrator for me. She was nice, apologetic and told me that I was rescheduled for Monday. The next day when we called for the time I was told that they wouldn't see me because of what happened at the hospital.- Ashley B.
