    The movers broke quite a few items during the move and several pieces of furniture were deeply scratched. I asked the movers to cover the furniture with moving blankets but they said they didn't have any and the result is some of my furniture has deep scratches and don't know if can be repaired. I contacted the owner and he said they would not reimburse me because I failed to notify him of the damage before the movers had left the premises. Would not recommend them.

    Jason was very responsive when first contacted. He explained their services and was very helpful in scheduling the move. My daughter after finishing graduate school at SMU needed to be moved back to San Antonio. She packed up her apartment and the movers called before they headed over to her apartment. They were very professional and moved her entire apartment down stairs and into the truck in less than 2 hours. They had extra supplies to bubble wrap her TV and wrapped her furniture in blankets taping them securely. They were careful handling her boxes and nothing was broken on unpacking them. They were communicative and pleasant to work with. I would definitely use them again if needed.

    Terrible.Texas Movers Group is the worst moving company I've ever used! This company only cares about getting your money and will say anything to lock you into a contract. Once you make a deposit they become negligent on their professional responsibilities as a moving company... the sales rep was nice in the beginning, but after I made a $300 deposit it went down hill from there. The movers did not pick up my items on the scheduled day which pushed my entire moveout date behind and interrupted my plans. Once the movers did show up, they took all of my stuff out of the apartment then doubled the price from $1275 to $2100 then demanded that I pay in cash. I was so upset and felt trapped. I eventually agreed because I had to move. Anyhow, the movers told me and my family that it would be a same day delivery from Houston to Dallas so we packed everything even personal items like all of my babies Pampers and clothes... after I made an initial $900 deposit and they left they called me and abruptly changed their minds about when I would recieve my stuff. I called the corporate office to speak to someone about the inconvenience and they were extremely rude and unprofessional. I had none of my babies items and was so stressed out. This was literally an experience from **** and I do not recommend that anyone use this company. It was so bad that I eventually filed a formal complaint through the better business bureau.

Not only did Gentle John's Moving & Storage exceed my expectations but they worked with me to get a fast and cost efficient move. I would definitely hire them again for my future move.

    I hired A#1 to move my one bedroom apartment and garage storage from downtown Dallas to a north Dallas home. I spoke with the company and explained that my building had a complicated elevator situation (two rides to the dock) and that I had a lot of bulky furniture. They explained that they were familiar with my building and that it shouldn't be a problem. The move started out on time (10:00 AM) and the crew was professional. Early into the move I could tell that they were extremely disorganized. I was helping the crew of three move furniture throughout the building and on several occasions was stuck waiting for one crew member at the elevators for extended periods of time (I spent 40 minutes in the garage with two of the three workers waiting for the third who had the elevator fob). Halfway through the move the foreman determined that they hadn't packed correctly and wouldn't be able to fit all of my furniture unless the "restacked" the boxes. This essentially meant crawling around on my furniture in the truck and shoving things into any place that they would fit. We continued working until 4:15 when they told me that they had everything on the dock and I could head to the house to start preparing for them to unload. During this six-hour work window, we saw two movers arrive and unload their loads. we still hadn't completed my load. At 4:30 I received a call from the foreman stating that everything wouldn't fit on the truck and that they'd like to leave my belongings on the secure underground dock over the weekend and would complete the job on Monday. This obviously wasn't an option that I was willing to except so I turned around to head back to the building. The dock was closing at 5:00 but they gave us enough time to move my remaining furniture back upstairs to my garage. I contacted the owner of the company, Juan, and explained the situation. He was extremely apologetic and told me that he'd do his best to make everything right which included him personally finishing my move on the following Tuesday. I was upset but he was professional and seemed to take the matter very seriously. We then arrived at my house around 6:40 because we were stuck in five o'clock traffic after it took them seven hours to load most of my furniture. Please note that the three-man crew arguing about everything throughout this process. When they started to unload my furniture, we noticed that several items for damaged. Here is a list of damaged items: desk, dresser, nightstand, two broken lamps, a scratched LCD TV screen, broken frame to the kitchen table, chipped glass on the table, broken speaker stand, smashed boxes, broken glassware, etc. I sent pics to Juan of all of these items and he was extremely apologetic (see text screenshots). Once we unpacked we realized that we were missing at least two boxes. One with my pants and underwear and another with our cooking utensils and pot lids. I spoke to him and he agreed to complete my move and told me that he'd personally have my Cantoni kitchen table repaired. Additionally, he offered a discount of three hours off. I thought about not paying them and in hindsight wish I hadn't. I paid his company $680 for a miserable experience and lots of damage to my personal property. After he completed my move we set a day for him to repair my table. He said "it will only take five minutes and is the least I can do [see screen shots]). I checked in with Juan three days prior to our scheduled repair date and the day prior and his response was that he was very busy but he'd be at my home at 1:30. I confirmed again with him on the scheduled day at 10:38 and he once again said that he'd be here. At 2:00 I started to text him and wasn't getting a response. At 3:00 I called but was forwarded to his voicemail. His cell phone now has me blocked and his company will not take my calls. His company did the following: * Charged me $680 to not complete my move in 10 hours * Damaged several pieces of my furniture * Broke items rendering them useless * Lost items * Caused an unneeded amount of stress in our lives * Owner failed to honor his word and fix his companies wrong doings * Is ignoring a paid customer and won't allow me to file a claim (owner blocked my calls) As you can see from our text images, we were very polite to one another but he simply quit responding and did not honor his word.

    It went exceptionally well. Jason Watt, the relocation specialist, was extremely responsive to all the emails and ready to promptly answer all the questions. We chose them over the competition not only because of fair pricing BUT also because they were among the few companies that carried workers comp. The 3-men crew that moved our furniture and boxes were extremely good and speedy workers. They hardly took any break. They were carefully handling our furniture and boxes. Nothing got lost or broken. They finished within the time Jason estimated. We would definitely hire them again. The moving experience, although stressful, was a success.

    Bought Dining Room furniture including LARGE china cabinet off of Craig's List from a lady who was moving across town. Element Moving was doing her move and she suggested we call them to see about having them deliver the china cabinet for us. We were treated with courtesy and professionalism even though it was not a high dollar job. The delivery went off without a hitch and the moving crew was just as delightful as the office staff had been. We would not hesitate to use them on a whole house move.     FANTASTIC MOVES
    Moving is never easy or pleasant. But I've never had a better experience with a mover than I did with Fantastic Moves. From start to finish they were outstanding. First, while they were not the cheapest bid I received, they were entirely accurate and did not try try to lowball the estimate as some companies do. If anything, they came in under their bid, which is always a nice surprise. Second, they do not use temporary workers or day laborers. Their employees have lots of experience with moves. Third, they were very flexible with my packing and move date. That was a great relief as I had some uncertainty up to the last couple of days about when my move-out and move-in dates would be. Fourth, they were very professional with the packing and moving. They took good care of my things, some of which are fragile. Fifth, after the move was over, when I discovered there was some slight damage to a book shelf they immediately responded and had a handyman repair it better than before the very next day. And finally, there were professional, courteous, and swift responses to every email and phone call and question I had. You can probably find cheaper (and get what you pay for), but none better. I hope not to move again anytime soon, but if I do will certainly use this company.
